For the first time in weeks..

It's been so long since I've blogged on here. Other than the last 4. There's just been so much going on in the past few weeks. I guess I'll start here...

Well last week my aunt (L's mom) called us and asked if we would help with her yard sale over the weekend. It was going to be the 18th, 19th, and 20th. So of course, we said yes. So we came over early Thursday morning and helped her and her husband (Gene) set everything up. Well, we were all setting outside around a table that she had set up. And as soon as the sun came up, it started to get super hot. We were all sweating and fanning ourselves just waiting for that first customer. Then finally, someone showed up. But don't get too excited people, only about 4 more people showed up that entire day. But during all this, my grandma wasn't feeling very well. We were all checking on her every little bit. She had slept until noon or so and then she would sleep in the chair. We were all getting worried about her and asking her if she wanted to go to the hospital. And of course, she said no. So then after about 3:00 or so, we decided to go stay with our grandma. Well she pretty much slept all evening and all through the night. Then the next morning she had to go to dialysis. She got up and got ready like any other time. Except about 7:30 or so, she told us that she wanted to go to the hospital instead of dialysis. So off she went. My aunt takes her to Festus every time she needs a hospital visit. So all we could do was wait. My aunt left us in charge of the yard sale, so that was real fun. We sat outside for about and hour. Then we decided that it was too hot so we went in the house and watched for people. All together, 4 people showed up. And only 3 got some stuff. It was so horrible. Then and it started to get later, we finally found out some info on our grandma. The doctor said that her organs in her stomach were swollen and she had 2 gallstones. So that was super fun to hear. The doctor also said that she had passed on stone and that it went in her liver. We were all so freaked out. So then the next day rolled around. We had to watch the yard sale again. Except that day, we got to close up shop a little early. We took all the signs down about noon. So then we started calling about grandma again. The doctor said that she was doing better, but she would have to have her gallbladder taken out. How bad is that? An 88 year old woman having her gallbladder taken out. It was so horrible to hear. But that night and the next day, she got a little better. So they decided to do the surgery Monday. Well, Sunday my other aunt called us and asked if we were going to the hospital Monday. We said yes. So then she asked if it would be ok if she went with us. So of course, we said yes. Them Monday rolled around and we went and got our aunt. We got up to the hospital around 11:30 or so. Then we had to wait. When she finally got out of surgery, we were so relieved. The doctor said that the surgery went wonderful. She just had a little bleeding after. He said that was normal since she was taking aspirin and dialysis. And naturally, that makes her blood thin. Then he told us that her gallbladder was full of gallstones. After all that, we had to go sit in the ICU waiting room. Then we had to wait some more. After about 2 hours, we finally got to see her. LaVaughn and me sat in there with her for about 30 minutes, then we had to take our aunt home. So after we said our goodbyes, we left. It was so hot yesterday. Luckily, we got to drive our aunt's car from her place to the hospital. And she has air conditioning, which we do not. Anyway, that's about all of that for now. I talked to my uncle today and he told me that she was doing pretty good. I'm going to call here in a little bit and see how she is. I'll probably update you later...

In other news. We've been playing with our gliders a lot. We take them in the bathroom 2 or 3 times a day. For about and hour or more each time. At the beginning of last week, my little devil stared being real mean. She would crab if we would put or hands anywhere near her. Then she got to where she would crab even if we walked by her cage. We were getting kind of worried that she would never like us, but we were wrong. She's gotten so much better in the past few days. She doesn't scream at us anymore. She's still a little pouch protective, but hopefully that gets better with time. They are so cute and such a cool pet. They're pretty much all I think about. I think that's all about them for now. I uploaded loads of picture of them at the bottom. So, enjoy.

Ok, what else. Last Monday we order our gliders a new cage. It's called the Brisbane Cage. But we go the Brisbane Cage Package Set . Which was so much cooler than just the cage. We also got some jungle vines, papaya and blueberry treats, and some pineapple and papaya treats. Well, we got that in the mail Friday. I thought I was going to die when I saw the UPS truck pull up. The dude carried it in for us, so that was cool. And like as soon as we shut the door behind him, we started ripping the box open. After we got it opened, we saw that it was bent at the end. We were so pissed. Then wen we started putting it together, we noticed that they didn't give us any instructions. I was like, "What the hell!" but we put it together anyway. After we got it together and on its stand, we really seen how big it actually was. It's huge! I didn't expect it to be that big. It's so super nice though. Our gliders love it. I added a couple pictures of it so you could see what it looked like.

Aside from the cage, we also ordered a cage set. It's so super cute. We got in on eBay for the very low price of, $37.79. That's with shipping and adding hooks. You can see it Here . We didn't get it until Monday. So after we got back from the hospital, we ripped it open. We started looking at it and spreading it out on the floor, then we noticed that we were missing a couple pieces. We had got 13 pieces instead of 15. So LaVaughn emailed the lady and told her. Luckily, she was super nice about it and told us that she would send the rest of it asap. I also uploaded a picture of all the stuff in our cage.

Lets see... is there anything else? Oh yea, we got mealworms for our gliders! We had went to Poplar Bluff last Monday to get some, but both pet stores were out. So we had to settle for super worms. And they were super bug too. Well, we got them home and tried to give our gliders one, but they were terrified of them. So we eventually had to throw them out. Well Monday, I called the local pet/food place (animal food, not human food) and asked if they had any, And to my surprise, they did. So I like flew to the store before they closed and got a 50 pick of them. Well, that night we finally go to feed our gliders some. I feel so bad for the worms, but I love to watch our glider eat them. It's so bad...

Well, I think that sums everything up. Hope you enjoyed it. In the next day or two, I'll have a few movie reviews for you. So until them, keep on rockin!

P.S.
The last two blogs about the gliders were posted by LaVaughn. Can you believe it?

In memory...

I just wanted to let you all know that our kitten, Mischa, passed away this morning about 3:30. I can't express in words how sad or how horrible I feel. We will miss her so, so much.

The would've been 1 year on September 11th of this year.

We love you Mischa...

The ups and downs of yesterday...

Man, yesterday started out so well. We got up about 9:00, got our gliders our of their pouch and put them in separate pouches, and went on our merry way. Then about an hour into the drive, we heard a loud pop sound. We didn't think too much of it, so we kept going. Then like a mile down the road we were getting off of our exit when the car started vibrating. In was inevitable, we had a flat. So we pulled off to the side and got out. There we so many huge truck going by we could barely hear ourselves talk. Then I got the tire and the jack out of the trunk, but I couldn't find a 4-way. I looked and looked, but there was nothing. So then I started messing around with the jack a little bit. After about 20 minutes of that a thing popped off of the jack. And thankfully, it had a 4-way thing at the tip. So after we got the tire changed, we had to get off of an exit. Then we went to this big truck tire place and asked if they knew where we could get our tire patched. The dude told me that there was a place about a mile down the road. So off we went. Well, we couldn't find that place so we got off on Jackson exit and found a little tire place. I went in and asked the guy that was behind the counter(who really looked like Seth Green) if they could patch our tire. And he said yes, but it would be about 40 minutes. So then we had to wait. Well it ended up taking over an hour before they got to us. Then after they got the tire fixed we were minus $10 and delayed 3 hours. But it was pretty much smooth sailing after that. Other than my grumpy glider crabbing the entire way.

We are so happy to be home. That was such a long drive. But it was all worth it. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I probably wont blog any more tonight, I'm still kind of worn our from the drive. And not to mention I'm going to have something to keep me occupied. Until then... peace.

P.S.
Happy Birthday Aunt Sharon! I hope you have a good one...

OMG!

Oh man, guess what just happened? Our glider lady said that we could come get our gliders TONIGHT! How freakin awesome is that? We were down at the pool when LaVaughn had the big idea for me to come and call her and see if we could get them tonight. So after about 10 minutes of her talking me into getting out of the pool, I decided to come to our room. and when I got in here, I noticed that we had an email from our glider lady asking us if we wanted to come and get them tonight, so of course, I said yes. So, that's where we're off to in just a few short minutes.

Wish us luck people. Peace...

We made it!...

Yes, yes we did. It was such a long drive, but we're here now. We left our place at about 10:00 and got here (Hot Springs) about 3:00. So we made pretty good time. We didn't have too much trouble either. Thankfully, our phones have GPS. That helped us out a lot. Now all we have to do is wait until tomorrow. It seems like it's taking forever.

Like as soon as we got to Poplar Bluff we called and asked about some hotels and stuff. Originally, we were going to stay at Best Western. Cause they said that they re-did all their rooms and it was only $89.99. So we were all over that. But when we got close to it we noticed that the town started getting real nasty looking. And then when we got to the hotel, it was so horrible looking outside. We were like freaking out. So we decided to got back up the road and stay at Comfort Inn & Suites. Luckily, it was the same price. But the only downside, you have to have either a credit card or a debit card. Thankfully, I had a debit card. But there is a huge plus about this hotel... It has an indoor pool! So guess what we'll be doing later?

Well, I guess I'm going to go. We just ate pizza from Pizza Hut and now we're going swimming. So we probably won't be back for a while. So, peace out!

It's the time of the season...

Well, not so much of the season, but it is time. Do you know for what? Well, if you don't know, let me fill you in... we're going to Arkansas tomorrow! Woohoo for us. We are so excited. And not just because we're going to AR, because we're getting our sugar gliders Friday! We're leaving tomorrow because it's a 6 hour drive down there and we're going to stay in a hotel for the night. And then the next day we get to go get our beautiful little gliders. We're getting everything packed tonight. Then that way we can just get up, take our showers, and then leave. And I'm sure that some of you are going to be like, "What's the big deal? It's just Arkansas." but see, it is a big deal because the last road trip we got to take was when we went to Washington. And that was oh so many years ago. So this will be a blast. And duh, we're getting sugar gliders.

I'm not sure if I'll blog anymore tonight, cause we still have to pack our clothes, get our glider cage ready, pack the gliders some treats for the drive, and so on. But not to worry, I'll blog more Friday or Saturday. I'm not sure if I'm going to take my laptop or not. If I do, then I can blog from our hotel room. But I might not mess with it. Cause I'm pretty sure I'm going to be swimming the majority of the time.

Well people, it's been swell. Hopefully everything goes according to plan. If not, we'll find a way around it. Until next time... peace out and rock steady!

Let there be Sims...

As most of you people out there in the PC game world know, the Sims 3 was released today. This game was originally going to be released earlier this year, but thanks to the people behind the game, we had to suffer for 4 more months. And why you ask, well the build up of tension wasn't big enough and the release date was too close for them to start advertising. Now we've been big fans of the Sims ever since the Sims 2 came out. So of course, we're excited to hear that there was a 3 in the works. Well, I could go on all day about stuff like this, so I'm going to end it here.

So to everyone, I'll see you in the check-out line... Sims in hand. Peace out and play hard.

The happenings...

Yea, that's the best title I could come up with. I was totally lost. Well, I know that the last two blogs have been a little creepy and I'm very sorry for that. I've just been super busy and haven't had time to blog. But today I said to myself. "Dammit! Those people out there in blog world need me. They depend on my blog to get through the day. I will, and I mean I will, have time to blog." pretty awesome aye? Well anyway, hopefully this blog will be better that the last. So here we go...

I know I was supposed to blog the other night, but I was too tired. I had got up at like 10:00 that day and I was only running on like 5 hours sleep. So when we got home at like 5:00 we started making our glider food. And that took us about 2 hours. But man was it fun. We made some HPW, fruit smoothie, and veggie relish. We needed loads of stuff for it so that's why we had to go to the next town over. For some reason, our store doesn't have bok choy. Weird huh? But anyway, it was so much fun. Everything turned out just like the SSG place. I highly recommend their diet. It is so awesome.

Oh man, can you feel it? The anticipation is killing me. We get to go get our gliders Friday! How freakin awesome is that? We have been waiting so long. I never thought the day was going to come. We were supposed to get them on Saturday, but thankfully our glider lady is super nice and is letting us come a day early. The reason we have to go sooner is cause it's LaVaughn's moms birthday (my aunt). And we don't want to miss it. It's going to be so badass. We get to leave this boring state on Thursday and go halfway across Arkansas and stay in a hotel for the night. Then the next day... well you know what's going to take place then, lol. Can't wait. Oh uea, our glider lady put our little sexy girls together the other day and they are getting along so well. She sent us like 5 pictures of them together. I'll put them at the bottom so you can see. They are so cute. Oh man, I could go on for hours about our gliders, so I'm going to stop here.

What else has been going on? Oh yea, we have this hummingbird feeder that LaVaughn pretty much keeps full all of the time. So there are always little hummingbirds in our yard. Well one day she was out there putting stuff in the feeder and they all just swarmed around here. They were practically eating the stuff our of her had. It was so badass. She got a wicked video of it. I'll try and get that up in a day or two. Anyway, the next time she went outside I went with her. and do you know what happened next? A freakin humming bird landed on her finger! I was freaking out man. So as soon as she got done, I just had to try it. So I stood in front of it with my finger resting on the little thing and all of a sudden, one landed on me! It was so cool man. And for all of you non-believers out there, we have pictures to prove it. Awesome...

Hmm, I thought I had more than that, guess not. Oh well, I think I'm done for now anyway. I think that this blog is long enough. Hope you all enjoyed it. Well, until next time. Peace out!

Song of the day: Crimson and Clover by Tommy James & The Shondells

The glider lady said that Pearl (LaVaughn's) is really protective of Falon (mine). That's why Pearl is all arched up in this picture.

This one is so cute. I can't wait to hold them...

Just look at their sexy little faces...

This pic is our background right now. I mean, why not right...

And last but not least, this adorable little pic...
