"Leaping" into a new job...

Well today was my second day working for Miss Bonnie. Things went much better today than they did last time -- I guess the awkward phase is leaving. I have to go back Wednesday, then I'll be on my own Friday and Saturday. I'm a bit nervous, but I think I should have everything down by then.

Omg, The Walking Dead was AMAZING yesterday! They finally introduced the Hilltop! Only a matter of weeks before Negan makes his entrance. Please oh please let it be someone I don't like that gets killed. Ugh, the finale is going to kill me. KILL me, I say!

Speaking of The Walking Dead, I got one of my Walking Dead comics in the mail today. I'm up to volume 18 of my collection! I just finished reading volume 15, so I'm that much closer to Negan. I already know that he kills Glenn, so it's not going to be that much of a shock. I hear that the brutality in the writing is what makes it so terrible.

In less exciting news, one of my ducks died yesterday. She got hurt somehow last week and was segregated from the rest of the flock. I'm pretty sure it's was due to the amount of drakes we have. Our drake/hen ratio is way off, so I'm forced to get rid of some of them. We have 9 hens now and 7 drakes, that too many. I'm getting rid of 5 and keeping two -- Harley and out Saxony male. This isn't going to be fun.

Well I guess that's all for now. I'm to go play some more Far Cry Primal! One of the funnest and most addicting games to date!

Love & Peace

New Lays flavors. Delicious!

My flat package.

Boom! Say hello to Negan!

Playing hooky...

So yeah, I'm kind of terrible. I was able to find someone to cover my shift and I went for it. I don't care, I'm so done with that place. The thoughts of having to step foot in that store with a uniform on sickens me. It literally makes me sick to my stomach. It like, after I got a taste of what life could be like outside of there, I didn't want to go back. This is the best kind of drug.

Shawna is pissed at me because she told me "no". She's not my mother, she's not my boss, she has absolutely no authority over me anymore. I'm officially done with McDonald's.

I did sew and sell a cage set today, so that made up for the work I missed - go me!

LaVaughn and I watch cooking shows religiously -- mainly whatever is on Netflix, like Barefoot Contessa. Well she has this delicious looking Parmesan and thyme cracker recipe that we tried today. Well, LaVaughn tried them, I tasted them. My conclusion -- they were DELICIOUS!

Well I guess that's all for now. I shouldn't have to tell you all that The Walking Dead is on tomorrow, which I'm anxiously awaiting. Until then...

Love & Peace

Gorgeous cage set from today.

Sale Barn or Bust...

We went to Poplar Bluff with my aunt earlier today to help her with her taxes. Nothing major, just needed to help her sign her checks, My aunt and I originally planned on going to the Sale Barn, but
they were closed, which sucks.

We opted for grocery shopping and stopping by a consignment store. Holy crap, I've never been inside a store that sells USED things that are 50% more expensive than NEW things! Yes, they have some pretty furniture, but damn, I would never pay what they're asking for half of that stuff.

They did have some really cute glasses that were 50% off, which we bought.

We grabbed some Taco Bell after and then headed home. We've basically been playing Far Cry every since then -- unbelievably addicting game, you have no idea.

I know this is random, but tomorrow is my LAST day working at McDonald's. Honestly, I don't want to go... at all! I'm trying to get a girl to cover my shift for me, but I'm not sure how that's going to go over. We shall see.

Until next time...

Love & Peace

Random pics from the consignment shop:
(they're not in order because I got them off my phone via Facebook)

Is this not a scene from Left 4 Dead?

My favorite.

Ugh, the memories...

LOVE!

These are the glasses we bought.

Love these chests.

I need this in my life.

Better view of our glasses.

Creepy....

Far Cry Primal...

After I sewed an unbelievably gorgeous cage set today, I managed to take LOADS of new joey pics -- even of Loras! Have I mentioned that his fur is almost completely grown back in? Well it is and it looks awesome!

I took nearly 100 joey pics, so I'm only uploading a sneak preview here.

After I sewed a set for someone yesterday (I didn't even take a picture of it), LaVaughn and I went to town and picked up a just released copy of FAR CRY PRIMAL!! Omg, it's awesome! So much more fun that Far Cry 4. LaVaughn is far more into the game than I am, which is weird, because she never plays. She played a bunch last night and has been playing for the last hour.

We also finally found binder clips for the rat cage liners. Now we'll only have to use one large piece of fleece instead of sewing a pillow cover and basically wasting half of the fleece. I'm super excited.

I guess that's all for now. I probably wont be blogging tomorrow -- I have 2 - 7 piece cage sets to sew that someone ordered earlier. Hopefully I can talk LaVaughn into helping me. It'll nearly cut my sewing time in half! Until then...

Love & Peace
