HoJo - NoGo...

Ahh, I can't believe I forgot to blog about this. We were thinking (I hate saying that) about staying at Howard Johnson Express Inn in Hot Springs. The rate was cheap and the outside looked decent. Well... that was until we read the reviews and looked at the photos. This place was a nightmare! And from what the reviews say, I don't know why anyone would stay there. Here's one of the reviews:

"The clerk was nice and friendly, but the hotel room was just horrible. My 6 year old said it was "scary". There were holes in the walls, and the carpet was filthy. I wouldn't go sock-footed. I felt uncomfortable about sitting on the bedspread or having my daughter play on the bedspread. Towels were clean, but bathroom was not. If It was clean, it didn't feel clean as there were marks on the walls and discoloration in the tub. Walking from the car to the room was a little scary in itself. Little to no lighting when we arrived at midnight. The stairwells were not secure. Just a very poor experience."

Yea, how fun does that place sound. On second thought, I think I want to stay there... NOT! Ugh, I hate that place. It really freaks me out. I would rather just dish out the extra money and stay some place that was an actual hotel and not a motel...

We were thinking about staying at The Clarion, but we're not too sure. I think that when we get down there, we'll just call around and see what's available. Then that way nothings carved in stone...

Well, I guess that's all I have to rant about for now. Peace bitches...

New layout...

Hey again everyone. Guess you noticed the new layout, eh? Yea, we've had the same layout for way over a year now and I though we could all use a little change, I know I could anyway. I don't think it looks too bad truthfully. I like the whole side switching thing. Well, I won't keep you, so I guess I'm going to go...

Until next time, you know where to find me. Peace...

The planning process...

Hey everyone. Just thought I'd drop you another line or two. As of now, we're in the process of planning our little road trip. Trying to find hotels, seeing how much gas money we're going to need, and so on. We thought we had a pretty nice hotel, but we were wrong. The reviews were really bad and the hotel just looked trashy. So now, we have to find another one. When we do, I'll post some pics of it for you. Other than hotels and what not, that's pretty much all I had to say...

Until next time, see you on the other side...

Birthday boy...

Hey again. I know, two blogs in one day. I better not start that again, bad me, bad! Anyway, enough being creepy. Time to talk about the Birthday boy. And who is that boy you ask? Well, his name is Gene and he is LaVaughn's step dad and my uncle. And this old timer just turned the ripe old age of 49. Yea, a number no one is too proud of. But hey, what can you do about it. So, enjoy the pictures that I added below and wish this old timer a Happy 49th Birthday...

Peace pooties...

This is the nice little Axe kit that we got him. It's called Dark Temptation and it smells so good. It'll make him feel good about himself for a long time, lol...

This is the only thing that the kit didn't have, body wash. So we had to buy it separate...

And we put it all together in this nice little Birthday bag...

A nice picture of him enjoying his card...

Ahh! This picture was too funny, I just had to post it. I know, I should've posted one of him smiling, but who's going to know...

Just to let you know...

Hey all my peeps. What's new with everyone? I just thought that I'd let you all know that I'm not gone, I'm still here. I've just been super busy lately, I'm trying out a new job, planing for our road trip, and some other petty stuff. So, don't be too upset my my absence, lol. Hopefully within the week, I can put together a decent blog for you.

Until then though, be cool...

Also, I just want to give a shout out to my uncle today. Happy Birthday Uncle Gene! Hope it's a good one...

Movies, movies, movies...

Hey people. Just thought I'd drop you a line or two. Since TV has pretty much gone to s***. we've been watching loads and loads of movies. And that's what I'd like to talk about today, movies. So sit back, relax, and maybe grab some corn...

First on the chopping block is, Obsessed. Which I thought was a pretty good little movie. It has a cast full of good people, like Idris Elba, Ali Larter, and Beyonce Knowles. The movie is a remake of the made for TV movie on Lifetime called, Obsessed, lol. In my personal opinion, it was WAY better. But... I've never watched the one on Lifetime, just a clip or two. Anyway, I think this is defiantly one you'll want to see. Overall rating, 8/10.

Now for a movie that came out oh so long ago... Transformers. Yes, I know, but we just watched it last night. And Let me say, it was the s***. It's so one of my new favorite movies. There was so much non stop action, it kept me wanting more. I can't wait to the Revenge of the Fallen. I'd give this movie a 8.5/10.

Ok, that's all I have... for now. On our way home, we stopped at a Redbox and picked up X-Men Origins: Wolverine and one of my new faves, I Love You, Man. So expect a rating later on tonight or tomorrow sometimes.

Well, I guess that's all I have for now. See you on the other side bitches. Peace...

Football and fuzzies...

Hey everyone. I just thought I'd give you a little quickie for the day. Just before the game (Rams vs. Seahawks) we got an email from our glider lady. And as I'm sure you all know, it was pictures of our other little man, Blake. He is so big and oh so pretty. There's also a couple pics of his parents too. Can't wait to go get them...

Well, I guess that's all I have to say for now. Half time is almost over, so I'm going to go. Until next time, peace...

And the last one of her, so pretty...

New found place...

Hey my peeps, what's going on? Not too much here. Happy 9/11. If you can call it happy? Anyway, our aunt stopped by yesterday for a nice little chat. Long story short, she told us about this place called like Bluff View Marina. So naturally, we wanted to go.

It was already about 6 or so, so we really had to hurry if we wanted to see it in all it's glory. Well, we left and got there about 30-35 minutes later. Not too sure how long it took. Anyway, the place is awesome. There's like this huge marina on one side and a nice little swimming area on the other. The swimming are is like a mini beach, which I think is just awesome. Considering we don't live by a beach. Anyway, it's all sandy and awesome. We walked up and down that for about 30 minutes. Then I got curious as to how the water felt. So, I rolled up my pants and got in up to my knees. And the water was awesome. I tried to get LaVaughn to get in with me, but she kept saying she didn't want to take her converse of. So I got out. Then she started trying to push me in. And naturally, I tried to push her in as well. Neither of us successful during the 15 minutes of doing it. But there was like 3 really good hard falls. Then after she pummelled me, I said I would get in. So I took my pants off and got in almost up to my waste. Then I looked over at her and saw her running at me. After that, it was inevitable, she slammed me under the water. Then we decided to swim around until it was almost dark. Good times, good times...

Well, I guess that's pretty much it. Hope you enjoyed it. Until next time, find an awesome new place to have fun. And of course, rock hard!

Song of the day: Black Water by The Doobie Brothers

This is a picture of what the bluff looks like. Hence, Bluff View, lol...

Awesome rocks! For some reason, it reminds me of Halo 3...

I love the way the vine is on the rocks. This reminds me of The Ruins...

The swimming border...

A pretty little butterfly that LaVaughn got...

Not a bad view, eh?

I thought this was a pretty nice pic...

But not as nice as this one...

Some driftwood...

My sandals in the sand. No pun intended...

A far off view of the swimming area...

The only shot of the marina I got. This is what we had planned on taking pictures of, but when we found the water, we were like, "What marina?", lol...

A nice crazed picture of Milla. She was kind of mad at us cause we couldn't take her on the sand with us...

Park type day...

Hey people. Happy 9/9/09 to everyone, lol. What's going on? Since the last two blogs were a little rushed, I thought I might take the time to actually write one worth reading. Not that our new sugar gliders aren't worth reading about or anything, it's just not the hip thing to do nowadays. So, prepare to be blogified...

Well, we just got back from a nice little visit to the park. We were bored and had nothing better to do. So why not, right? The sun was out, the sky was blue, and there was a nice cool breeze blowing. But that's not what got us out of the house, it was the actual going to the park part. Cause come on, who doesn't like spending a day at the park? We like to go to the park in the next town over. The parks here are just too creepy. And not to mention, there's an awesome trail to walk. But, since I forgot to wear my converse, that part didn't happen. But that didn't stop us from having fun. We went and got some food and just kicked it. And since we went on a weekday, everyone was either at work or school. So we pretty much had the park all to ourselves. But, that's pretty much all that happened.

Now, all I want you to do is... rock and roll all night, and party every day. Peace out and don't forget the check all the picks below...

I can't not take a picture of this when we go there...

This is such a pretty face pic of Milla. But, if you look very closely in the upper right hand corner, you can see LaVaughn flying high on the swing, lol. Very funny...

Ahhh! The park bathroom is SO skanky...

This is what a person has to do just to go pee...
And lastly, a nice picture of the lighting...

Ahhh! I can't believe it...

Oh man, you're never going to believe this... we're getting Blake too! I still can't hardly believe it. I'm SO excited. I've wanted Blake ever since we found our glider site. Ahh, I'm so happy right now, lol. Well, that's pretty much all I have to say right now. Peace...

There are like 5 pics of him below. That's all we have right now. Our glider lady said she'd send us some new pics of him in a few days...
