Drake update...

The awesome lady that's adopting Drake asked for some new photos of him last night and, naturally, I obliged. I've only taken his picture while he's in his pouch lately so I thought it would be fun to take some on the keyboard - like Hannibal and Mischa back in 2010. Luckily, he was really still and the pictures didn't turn out too bad.

And while we're on the subject of keyboards, I thought I would mention that I'm finally playing again! It's literally been months on top of months since I've touched the keyboard. Some of the songs I know came back to me while others... not so much. I never finished Moonlight Sonata, so I definitely need to get that done. I'm also in the process of learning A River Flows In You by Yirma. It's slightly on the difficult side, but it's beautiful!

Well, I suppose I've rambled enough for now. Until next time...

Here are the pictures of our adorable mosaic sugar glider, Drake:

I know a video isn't as cute as Drake, but I thought I would post it anyway:

Just an update...

Sorry for my lack in blogging, but I just haven't had anything good to blog about. I have just writing short little blogs like I've been doing with maybe one or two pictures and a half paragraph - it's annoying. So, that's why I decided not to blog for a few days.

Today LaVaughn and i had to sew up some things for a friend and go through some old fleece to see if they were of interest to her. Talk about fun! The last time we went through our box of fleece a huge spider crawled out on my arm and caused me to nearly shit myself. Luckily, there was no defecation, but I did burst a few ear drums.

Have I mentioned that I have a new love for Johnny Cash? I mean, I've always loved him, but I just really got into him lately. There's just something about his voice that just speaks to me at the moment. I guess he just fits into the situation I'm in at the moment.

Well, I suppose that's all for now. Until next time...

Here are all the Glider Buckets and the cage set.

And this is some of our fleece options:

And here are some photos from a few days ago:

This is a giant albino catfish that my aunt caught a few days ago.

I actually believe this is a flathead catfish.

And these are wild blackberries.

The gliders loved them. :)

New King of District 9!

I'm very excited to announce that we have a new turkey!! He's huge and extremely beautiful! My aunt got him from one of her friends - a guy who frequents this large market in Poplar Bluff. They have all kinds of things - anything from fresh fruit and veggies to live poultry and dogs. I know, it's a strange place that we've yet to visit.

Anyway, he's really cute, but he's also really scared so I don't have a massive amount of pictures to share. Not to worry, I'll have more in no time. Until next time...

Here are the pics:

He looks like a red bourbon and white turkey mix.

I think that's what my aunt said, lol.

Whatever he is, he's pretty...  :O)

Who is that adorable little girl?

LaVaughn and I had to go grocery shopping today where we ran into our cousin, Luke, and his girlfriend, Alexis. I don't believe I've mentioned this before, but they have a daughter named, Aliza. And oh WOW - she is the cutest little girl ever!! Unfortunately, we didn't get to hold her - considering we were all in the middle of shopping, so we just pinched her and took a couple pictures of her, lol. The next time we're in Fredericktown... it's on!

I suppose that's all for now, just wanted to share. Until next time...

Song of the day: I'm taking a break on the song of the day for a while. I've used so many of my favorites and don't feel like rummaging through my songs every time I want to post a blog. Sorry. :P

Here she is:

Here is the cutest little girl ever!

Just look baby Aliza's big blue eyes!

RIP Evan...

I can't believe I'm posting this just a few days after Jonah. Our other rat, Evan, passed away yesterday. It was awful! After his brother passed away a few days ago, he stopped eating, drinking and just slipped into a horribly depressive state. When knew he wasn't going to make it much longer and he didn't.

I seriously don't believe I want any more rats. They're such compassionate animals that you get attached to way too easily. And I just can't deal with their short lifespan. Although, Evan and Jonah both lived extremely long lives and for that, I'm grateful.

We will always remember you buddy...
RIP Evan

Time for a joey update...

Well, I don't really think these guys qualify as joeys anymore, but they're still joeys to me. I got a few pictures of Drake night before last, but didn't feel like making another blog with just his pictures, so I thought I would wait until today, when I had more.

I also don't think I've mentioned that we put Sophie and Violet together, have I? After Sophie hurt her leg and was separated from her parents, she had to be alone. Then after her last vet visit where she got a clean bill of health, we decided to put them together so they wouldn't be alone. I'm really hoping we can find a Railroad for Sophe so that her new mom, Erika, can get her.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Hope you enjoy the pictures...
