A look back...

I think it was back in 2006 that I wrote my first New Years blog, and believe me, it was a good one, lol. I've been wanting to do another one so that I will have something too look back on next year and compare the changes. I usually try to write these with meaning, but sometimes they get a little too deep, lol. Anyway, here's my look back on the year, 2010.

As I sit here on the eve of the new year and the last day of 2010, I try to think of all the good things that have come my way. Unfortunately, I'm also flooded with the bad things and the people I'll never see again. But I try to put those kind of memories aside and focus on happier things so I don't go into the new year with a heave heart. But it is hard, considering how things have been going family wise. The past two years have been pretty hard. Some things I didn't think I would ever get over, but did. And some things I'm definitely not over and probably never will be. I try to take from those things and push forward. As I look back on this year, I remember the hard times that I've had to endure. But you can't focus on things like that, you have to look at the good times you had this year too. If you fill your head with bad memories, you're only going to make things harder on yourself. If you remember the good things, you will be motivated to make good, new memories in the new year. Thankfully, there aren't too many things I'm disappointed with this year. Are there things I want to change next year, of course. Are there things that will stay the same, definitely. Change isn't always good, unless it's for the better.

I'd like to make 2011 a year of motivation, relaxation and inner peace with myself. I'm SO done being a worry wart all the time. I'd also like to spend more time with the people that matter in my life and not focus so much on other things that are meaningless. I'd also like to spend more time doing the things that I love, like photography. I'd like to spend less time on the computer and more time in the real world, like watching movies, lol. I actually don't have too many goals in this coming year and I definitely don't have a resolution. I think resolutions are just a way to set you up and then slam you down when you don't reach that goal. Just a stupid thing I don't believe in. Now, there is absolutely nothing wrong with you doing it, though.

Well my dear, dear friends out there in blogger world, I leave you with this: Don't hold grudges, tell your family and friends that you love them, put the past behind you and be thankful for the little things. Life is just too short. Well my friends, I bid you adieu. Until next year, you know where to find me...

Happy New Year!

To Poplar Bluff and back (Hasting's included)...

We had to hit up PB today for an undisclosed reason. After that, we decided to hit up PRU and Hasting's. We didn't really find much at PRU, just some peanut butter flavored treats for Robbie. And just so you know, Robbie loves him some peanut butter. Ferrets are seriously awesome, lol.

Anyway, after that we decided to hit up Hasting's. It's been forever and a day since we've been there, so we thought they might have some awesome sales going on... wrong! They still have that damn "Buy 2 Get 1 For $1", SO annoying! I'm still glad we went there, though. We ended up finding Pig Hunt, which is one of Fangoria's Fright Fest movies, for the low price of $7.99. We also got The Unborn and something else... no clue what, but I'm sure it's a good one. We also got this awesome little candy tin. I'm pretty sure it's some kind of Japanese candy, but who knows. All in all, it was nice find.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Love & Peace

This is what the Japanese candy box looked like:

Now I see that it's called Lucky Stars candy, lol. Cute, isn't it?

Yes, I'm still alive...

Even though this cold is killing me little by little. Well, I guess it could be worse, but it still sucks. Anyway, just thought I would give you a little update on everything.

Hannibal will be going to live with his new mommy Saturday evening (if all goes well). She lives in STL, so we're going to meet her in De Soto so she doesn't have to drive SO far. I think she's coming from Troy, so that's a little over 3 hours away. I'm really excited for her to get a leu, she seems to really want one and I know how that feels.

We also had to go to Ironton to pay our personal property tax today, but for some stupid reason, they were closed. So the drive up there was basically for nothing. Now we have to pay the monthly penalty... BOO! Oh well, at least we can just get a money order now.

I guess that's all I have for now. Hopefully I'll feel a little better tomorrow and can write a bit more. Until then, you know where to find me...

Love & Peace

Ugh, not again...

I really need to learn to wear my hoodie and socks more often. I've been sick more this year than the last 4! I'm normally a huge fan of Winter, but I'm almost tempted to change my mind. I guess I can go ahead and tell you my problem instead of bitching about it while you set there, clueless.

My sore throat (which was all that was bothering me at the time) was minor through Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, then yesterday it progressed, just like last time. Now I'm sitting here with a semi-swollen throat, runny nose, congested head and just plain uncomfortableness (is that a word?). Ugh, why must I be tortured with sickness? I'm making a mental note as of right now to get a flu shot next year.

Aside from my horrid sickness, we managed to get some fairly cool stuff from Walmart last night. Naturally, all the vultures came out at 6:00 AM and nabbed all the good stuff, but we still left satisfied. Lets see, we got some perfume, loads of lip balms and whatnot's, some candles, cat and dog toys and popcorn. And that was just the half priced holiday stuff. Our main reason for going to Walmart was for the meds, which we also got. Like always, there will be pictures of everything at the bottom, so don't forget to check it out.

Well, I don't really feel like sitting here and typing anymore, so I guess I'm going to go for now and drink some more Canada's Finest and OJ. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Check out this awesome Halle perfume. It smells SO beyond awesome!

 Rock candy sucker.

 Gorgeous Halle bottle.

 My lifeline.

 Bonnebell triple pack.

 Fruity Lip Smackers 3 pack.

 Coke Lip Smackers 3 pack.

And last, but definitely not least, our awesome cat toy stocking. We also got Milla two holiday chew toys, but I forgot to get a pic of the, sorry. :)

A day late and a dollar short...

I know it's late, but Merry Christmas! Sorry I haven't blogged in forever, but our DSL has been a bitch lately and we've been S.O.S. without internet. Other than not being able to check emails and blog, being without internet hasn't been that bad. It's nice to not have my face smashed in the computer screen ever 23 seconds.

Anyway, not too much has been going on lately, just the same old shit. We have been clearing a lot of old stuff out of the house and throwing it out, so that's cool. It really seems to open the place up a bit, which is awesome. Now it doesn't look like a crack den when you come it, lol.

As far as the holidays go, they sucked. Considering we're missing a few people that we shouldn't be. The holidays have just been meaningless for the past two years. If you know us personally, then you know what I'm talking about. And to top off the sucky holiday, I woke up Christmas Eve with a sore throat. Yeah, fun right. It got a little better as the day progressed, then it hit me again not too long before I went to bed. Then when I got up on Christmas day, guess who was there to greet me? You guessed it, my sore ass throat. Like the day before, it got a little better then worse before I went to bed. I woke up a few different times today with a horrid, scratchy throat. It's not super bad right now, but it's STILL there. Ugh, I'm so ready to go to the store and get some meds. :( Other than that, Christmas was ok. It was pretty much just a big dinner on any other day of the year. No lights, not tree, no nothing. Oh well, at least I got to over eat, lol.

Ok, I think I'm done being a crone for a while. I'm just all sicky today and don't feel like doing much. I guess I should've picked a better/happier day to blog. Well, I guess that's all I have for now. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Since there's nothing else to blog about...

How about some joey pics? Yeah, I thought so. I had the joeys in the bathroom the other day (super bright light with white walls) and got some fairly awesome pictures of them. I've been trying to make time to take pictures of them as much as I can, but you all know how that goes. Anyway, just bored and thought I would share.

Until next time (if there is one, lol), you know where to find me...

Cute, aren't they?

I feel weird blogging on my birthday...

Oh well, no one else is going to blog for me, so I may as well, lol. I didn't do too much today, just went to my aunts for cake and so one. Then LaVaughn and I went into town and hit up the stores and Sonic. All in all, it's been a fairly nice day.

I did, however, get an unexpected birthday gift today. Well, it's not really a b-day gift, but I'm going to call it that. Anyway, as we were driving down the road, LaVaughn yelled, "There's a kitten!" So I slammed on the breaks and she jumped out. And just as she suspected, it was a kitten. A little, tiny calico kitten. And it's a she! So that's awesome... at least I think, lol. She is such a sweetie, all she wants to do is rub on you and purr. We decided to bring her back to the house before we went into town. LaVaughn put her out a pouch of food and she swallowed EVERYTHING! She was so beyond hungry, it was pitiful. :( She's laying on the couch as I type, lol. She's already made herself at home, which is awesome. We're not sure if we're going to keep her or not, we'll probably ask around and see if anyone is missing a kitten. But more than likely, some asshole has just dumped her off on our road cause they didn't want her. I seriously hate people like that... bastards! We're also trying to decide on a temp name for her. So far, we like: Elisha, Molly, Holly, Ester & Chelsea. But like I've said in the past, it probably wont be any of those, lol. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Hmm, what else do I have to say? I actually can't think of anything else. Don't forget to check out the pics below! Until next time, you know where to find me...

These pictures were all taken a few days ago. They're of aunt Sharon holding Robbie. He was super good that day and let her hold him for about 10 minutes.  It was super cute. The rest of the pics are from today. Just stupid little shots of the keyboard. Enjoy!
