What's another word for... Riptide?

Event though I'm a tad preoccupied right now, I decided to squeeze in a few minutes for blogging. I hate getting backed up, so I try to blog daily or every other day. I would have blogged yesterday, but I didn't get home until 5ish, then LaVaughn and I went to our aunt's until nearly 8. So yeah, I didn't have much time to blog yesterday.

The main reason I wanted to blog today is because we were FINALLY able to get Dead Island Riptide and I just had to share!! It probably would have been smarter to actually play the game then blog about it, but why make things easy on myself? I love doing things that hard way! I'm seriously stoked to play this game. I fell in love with Dead Island, so I'm really hoping this one follows in its footsteps.

LaVaughn and I were actually planing on going to Poplar Bluff today, but decided against it when we saw how horrible the weather was! It was raining and cold and just plain nasty out! The reason we were planing on going in the first place was because I got my orientation check and we wanted to blow it. :)

Work went pretty well Friday. I did a lot of the register by myself and even did a couple orders completely by myself. It felt awesome! I didn't have to do as much yesterday. There was no baking cookies, pies, or anything else I did the day before. I mostly hung by the register and cleaned the lobby. Overall... not too bad!

The only downside, Cassie (one of the managers) had me clock out 20 minutes early. Still not sure why. I mean, it wasn't a big deal or anything, just random. I have to call her Monday and see what my schedule is for next week. For some reason, they forgot to put me and the other new guy on the schedule.

It was very sad to see said family members leave. We said our goodbyes Thursday night because they were planing on leaving pretty early Friday. I can't wait to see them again. Hopefully things will be better the next time they stop by!

The joeys are doing great and growing like weeds! I really, really love these two, there's just something about them! Now that we're getting Drew, part of me can't help but think about what an awesome mate Nala would be for him. I know I shouldn't think like that. Of course there's NO way I would back out of a deal. Their new mom just seems too excited and too awesome! It will be sad to see them go.

Alright, I suppose that's all for now. I think the batteries are charged enough to play some Riptide!!

Here it is! Dead Island Riptide! :D

Day two of working... I'm still alive!!

Well today was my second day working at McDonald's. I wasn't as nervous this time around, but, of course, I still was. I think I get more nervous at home than when I'm there. I guess it's kind of like going to school; you dread going and will do almost anything to get out of it, but after you're there, it's better... kind of, lol.

I got a little more of the register down today... thankfully! I think I might finally be able to add and take away burger toppings without asking for help! At least I hope! I took a lot more orders by myself today, but Kim was still close by. I also baked cookies and pies ALL by myself! I was proud! Aside from that, I also emptied fries into the warmer, learned how to salt them, and even cleaned the top of the oil! You know, the stuff that clings to the top of the grease? Yeah, not fun, lol. Aside from food, I also made a couple shakes and a frappe I believe. Those all kind of jumble together still.

I also filled the mop bucket by myself, stocked the condiments, lids, and cups! I was all over today!

I stood and walked the entire 3 hours today, so my feet are a little more sore than they were Tuesday, but they're not too bad. I'm sure I'll get used to that in no time.

I still can't help but get nervous and worry about how I'm going to do the next day. I worry that I'm not going to get the register down completely and forget how to make special drinks. Like I said, it's less stressful when I get there, but I can't help but worry at home. I'm a mess. And to top everything off... Kim only works until 3 tomorrow and I work until 4!! *tears hear out* I don't know what I'll do for the hour by myself. :(

Enough work talk.

We're getting ready to go visit said family members for a little while. They're going back home tomorrow, so we need to squeeze in some more time with them. Plus we need to take the joeys over for one last groping. Sigh... I hate saying goodbyes. Perhaps I'll say something like, "See you in a couple weeks!" Who knows.

Updated with pictures!!

Full Moon

LaVaughn's Humming Bird Feeder

Nala sleeping in said family member's hand.

Doesn't she look so cute!?

You have how many sugar gliders?

Okay, do you guys remember be talking about that adorable little mosaic boy that Annette posted a while back? Well... we're getting him!!! And you don't have to tell me, I KNOW we don't really need another one, but we're getting him anyways! She's offering us a really sweet deal for him, but we probably still shouldn't -- it's not like we have the extra anyways!

Especially since we're planning on buying new cages AND new wheels! Speaking of, I sent the money to David a little while ago for the wheels. He said they would be shipped out tomorrow!! I can't WAIT!

Back to Drew - who has yet to be named by us... he is SO cute! Annette sent like 15 pictures of him the day after I asked about him and, now that we're getting him, I can share them!! He's seriously one of the prettiest mosaic joeys I've ever seen in my life!

He'll live with Dustin -- out little leu boy -- for a few weeks, until Dustin movies in with Chloe. Then he'll be all alone. I hate that. We're wanting to put him with one of Kira and Logan's little girls before we get Logan neutered, but who knows. If that's the case, he's going to live alone for a long time, which I hate. We'll just have to spend lots and lots of extra time with him.

Okay, enough glider talk for now. LaVaughn and I went to town earlier in hopes of renting Dead Island Riptide, but it was out. :( Hopefully we can get it over the weekend.

While we were stopped at a stop sign, I couldn't help but notice the government car that was in front of us. The plates read, "For official government use only." Makes you wonder what they were doing in a tiny ass town like Piedmont! Of course, I got a picture of the plates, couldn't help myself. Now lets just hope I don't get in trouble posting the picture, lol.

The lighting on our road was just so beautiful on the drive back, we just had to stop and take a couple pictures. Since it rained not too long ago, there was a beautiful stream of water running under the bridge. Look for those pictures below.

Well, I suppose that's all for now.

Here's Drew!!!
(who's yet to be named by us)

Is that not an angelic face!?

Look at that tail!

Prettiest cow eared mosaic sugar glider ever!!

Is he not sooooo cute!? I love his ears to pieces!!

I completely forgot to mention this... I got to see Sadie's joey's tail earlier! Not much longer...

Milla and Una, looking out the window. This was zoomed all the way from the driveway.

Here's the government license plates.

Beautiful stream.

This looks like a majestic brook. Beautiful!

Beautiful water stream.

These are some new sugar glider food containers that we got for when we go to Arkansas. We'll pre-cut and freeze all the gliders food and then my lovely aunt will just put them in their cages a few hours before they wake up. The orange lid will be for doubles, and the blue will be for our single. :)

Omg, this Australian liquorice is the best ever!!

Working for the weekend...

Omg, I just finished my first day of WORK!! Holy shit, it so wasn't as bad as what I thought it was going to be! I didn't have to be there til 1, so that was awesome! I spent the first hour watching a couple videos, then I was moved to the registers with the best training lady in the world, Kim! She, and everyone else, were so nice!

As if you haven't guessed by now, I got a job at McDonald's. And no, not McSuck in Piedmont, the McDonald's in Ironton. Yeah, you hear that Kenny? I think you know what you can go do to yourself. ;)

My shift ended at 4, so it wasn't a long day at all. It was mostly me just getting used to the POS system. Oh man, confusing! I couldn't remember where any of the buttons where and continuously had to ask, or just have her do it. If I was taking too long, she would just reach over and do it for me anyways. I rang the orders up every time and gave change. I got good at that, lol.

I did manage to do one order all by myself, though. It was just a frozen lemonade, but I was proud. Hopefully it doesn't take long to get everything down. It'll be MUCH easier then.

Aside from taking and ringing up orders, I wiped tables down, mopped a little, and even baked some cookies! I know, insane! I also took an order out to a parked car. I actually almost forgot about that. So all in all, it was a good first day. I just hope the rest are that way!

I do have some exceptionally good news... I don't have to be in at 11 Thursday!! Ahh, SO stoked about that! I looked over my schedule and don't have to come in until 1 again. Thank God!! Oh man, I was so bummed about that. There is no way I could have gone to bed early. I mean, I could have, but that probably would have resulted in a massive panic attack, lol. Not really funny, but it's true.

Okay, I think that's all for now. Just wanted to give a little incite on what my work day consisted of. Hope you enjoyed...

Fun times at Ridgemont High...

LaVaughn and I went over to our aunt's as soon as we woke up today. It's been nearly 5 years since we've seen said people, so you can imagine our excitement. And of course, we took the joeys with us so that they could be loved on and kissed, which they were.

I'm SO happy that these particular joeys are angels. Neither one of them so much as peeped, even at the unknown hands that have never touched them. My aunt held Nala most of the time and the other said person held Simba. I can already tell that he's going to be a HUGE bra-baby. As soon as said person would hold him, he would dive down her shirt and go to sleep. So precious.

I think I mentioned this the other day, but my aunt and uncle got new iPhone's last week. Well, just so you know, I love them! Everytime I go to my aunt's house, I play with her phone. It's awesome! Especially the camera. Definitely one of my favorite features.

LaVaughn and I were considering getting an HTC One X, but I think we've both decided to save up for an iPhone 4S or an iPhone 5, depending on what we have at the time. We shall see!

While we were there, my uncle called and wanted to Facetime - the visual phone call - with my aunt. My aunt hates electronics, so you can imagine how that conversation went. After about 5 minutes of talking, my uncle just sat there, not saying anything and just staring at my aunt. Oy vey. She got tired of it and hung up on him. After she said goodbye, of course.

They're just so funny with their new phones.

LaVaughn and I decided to spend some time with the District 9 residents a little while ago. They're all so great. You remember the little chick that we saved, the one we were calling Mabel? Well she's a complete angel!! She's been named Audry, by the way. Ugh, I just love her to tears!

The Welshie ducklings are getting SO big! Their feathers are all starting to come in now, so you can really see how beautiful they're going to be! They're still skittish for some reason, but they do come up to our hands and nibble, food or not. I guess that's better than nothing.

Okay, I guess I'm going to go for now. I have to work tomorrow, so I better watch a movie and get my mind elsewhere. Let the anxiety filled night begin!

Love & Peace
