Welcome to the jungle...

Our chicken coop has grown SO much in the past couple months. We went from 5 hens, a rooster, a turkey, and a duck to a whole house full of chickens! We have at least 11 hens now with the 3 new Rhode Island Reds and 3 new White Leghorn chicks, we're just not sure about the 7 other chicks. If our sexing techniques were right, we should have 6 more hens and one more rooster. Only time will tell!

Aside from that, we have have 3 new ducks to add to the brood! They wont be in the chick coop anytime soon, but they'll be there eventually. I still want to add to the duck population. LaVaughn would like to have a Khaki Campbell and I would like to have a Saxony, Pekin, and Cayuga. We both want an Indian Runner of some type and a couple geese. Preferably African and/or Chinese. So not that many at all, lol.

The 6 newbies in the chicken house are actually a lot friendlier that I thought they were. They don't mind us walking around next to them or even picking them up! Our first 7 that were got are all angels. They love us and come running as soon as we com in the gate. It's the best.

I think I've rambled about the fowl enough for one day. Now time to enjoy all the lovely, lovely pictures that I took today!

Love & Peace
