Yup, it's that time of year again...

And by "that time of year" I mean the end of the year. This is a day of mixed emotions for most people. Some want to get the year over with as soon as possible (been there!) and some never want it to end. I have to say, this year has been one of the better years for me, but I've still had my ups and downs. I usually do a big "speech" blog of some type at the end of the year, but I think I wrote enough in A Look Back for the next few years, lol.

At the end of each year I can't help but think about everyone that I've lost over the past few years and how differently I spend each New Year/New Years Eve. I go into each new year knowing that there will always be something missing in my life that I know I'll never get back. I have to say, it has gotten a little easier, but I still find myself depressed and on the brink of crying out of nowhere.

Like I've said before and will continue to say, I'm not setting a resolution for this coming year. That's just a way to set you up for something and then disappoint you when you don't complete it. As long as I go into the New Year happy and healthy, that's good enough for me.

I do, however, have goals/expectations for the New Year. Like last year, I want to spend less time on the computer and more time in the real world. Will that happen? Probably not. Does it sound good right now? Of course it does. But it is something I'm going to try to accomplish. I also want to TrY To WrITe LikE ThiS aLL Of NExT YeaR, THougH. Not really...

Another hope/expectation of mine is do try and complete My Project 365. Yes, I'm doing and Project 365 this coming year! So as of Midnight, I'll have to take a photo a day, everyday for one entire year! Sounds like a lot of work, but for someone who takes as many photos as I do, then it should be no problem at all. At least I hope, lol.

So, what are your resolutions/goals/hopes/expectations for the New Year?

Until next year, you know where to find me...

LaVaughn's Hump-Day Randomness...

I can't really think of anything important to blog about today, so I'm mainly going to be sharing some random pictures that LaVaughn's took last night and today. She takes such lovely photos, I don't know why she doesn't do it more.

Anyway, I suppose that's all for now. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Song of the day: Love At First Feel by AC/DC

Here are the pics:

One of our new Christmas mugs.

Candy cane in some hot chocolate.

Una sleeping on my back.

Winter Sunset.

Miss Carly. The ham of all hams.

The face Fletcher is making is priceless!

Puppy Love <3

Such a sweet puppy face.

"I'm just a little nauseous."

Thumbnail moon.

I love how you can see the whole of the moon.

Rub-A-Dub-Dub...

...Robbie in the tub. I know, lame, but it's fitting. We've been trying to bathe Robbie on a weekly basis to help with his scratching. So far so good. He actually enjoys being bathed, so that's a big plus. I managed to get some pretty cute pictures of him while LaVaughn was bathing him. I think they're cute anyway.

In other news... it snowed last night! I couldn't believe it. I was coming down so fast and so hard, I just knew I was going to wake up to a snow covered yard today. I was wrong. I got a few pictures of that, but nothing spectacular. I think I even nabbed a video, but I doubt I'll upload it.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Army Of Two: The 40th Day came in the mail today! Super stoked to try that out. If the missions are mainly about shooting people, how bad can it really be? :O)

Well, I suppose that's all for now. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Gotta love the speckled ferret nose. <3

I don't think he likes the towel, lol.

"Are you talking to me?"

Evil cat eyes.

Kershmire(?) Summer Sausage. Seriously the best thing about the Holidays, lol.

"Where's my piece?"

See, it really did snow!

This snow looks more like rain, but this was nearly 100 feet away with now flash. So...

Post Christmas shopping...

The day after Christmas is the day Walmart puts all of their cheapo Christmas items at 50% off. Most of the decorations are a good buy, but some of the other stuff completely sucks. There are, however, a few diamonds in the rough.

I started off by checking Walmart's garden center. That's usually where they move all of their clearance items. I knew there wouldn't be much to choose from, considering it was after 4PM and all the crazies get up before the crack of dawn to nab all of the good deals, but I tried it anyway. I first walked to the isle where all the perfume was and was shocked by what I saw. The shelves looked like something from a post-apocalyptic movie where everything had been ransacked. Yes, it was that bad. There were also 4 people safeguarding the end with the most perfume and body wash kits, so I said, "Screw it!" and decided to leave.

I soon found myself walking down the Christmas food isle where they had all the "food kits". That's where I found the best deals. I mean, I'm sure there were better things to buy, but everything was pretty much wiped out. I think I spent like $10 all together, lol.

And that concludes my post Christmas shopping, hope you enjoyed. Until next year, you know where to find me...

Song of the day: Bennie And The Jets by Elton John

Here are the pics:

This is the S'Mores Cocoa Mugs And S'More Kit. Not worth $8, but totally worth $4.

This is the other random things that I grabbed. Some candy canes, M&M Minis, Swedish Fish, Hershey's Peppermint Kisses and Reese's Cup candy canes. Not bad for $4.50, eh?

Pretty decent veggie tray, huh?

We actually bought a veggie tray at the store about a week ago and paid $10 for not half of this.

Buying all of this separate... just under $7. :)

Merry Christmas!

Just thought I would pop in and say Merry Christmas to all the lovely readers out there in blogger land. I also have a few pictures to share, but that's nothing new, lol.

Today brough forth another day of sadness and memories of old. It's hard to enjoy yourself when you've lost so many people that were so near and dear to your heart. Even when I was laughing at Chevy Chase on National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation while enjoying my Christmas, I was still overrun with deep sadness. But, this is becoming a yearly occurrence, so I'm learning to deal. I'm going to make it my personal mission to make next year more festive and less depressing.

And with that, I'm going to call it a day. I hope everyone got everything they wanted and had the Merriest of Christmases. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Merry Christmas!

I added some fresh veggies to the turkey and sweet potatoes just to lighten the dish up a bit.

Looks yummy, doesn't it? :O)
