My work weekend definitely helped take my mind off of things for a while. Saturday, one of the grill closing guys (a good friend of mine), Robbie, decided to be a no call no show. He was already planning on quitting next week, but that pretty much assured that he would never get another job there again. Then, our KP closer, another friend of mine, went on her break and... never came back. She took the coward way out and had her boyfriend call for her to say that she quits.
So Saturday, I was stuck closing KP. Which basically means that I washed pretty much everything that could be washed in the entire store. Fun, fun, fun. You know I'm being sarcastic, right?
Well last night, every damn person got off work at 5, still not sure why. Then, around 7, Tyler and I lost our 3rd grill person. That basically meant that it was just me in grill. Tyler is this awesome little flipping boy, but he's still semi-new to the grill (even though he's the new closer). So after 7, it was basically me on tables all by myself.
Around 8, when I was scheduled to be off, one of the managers had to go to the next town over to get buns from them, because we were literally down to one tray. She was asking everyone if anyone needed anything, then I made the stupid remark of saying that I wouldn't be there when she got back. That's when she asked if I could stay until she got back, which would be another hour at least. And because Melissa was working, and only because Melissa was working, I agreed.
The gliders are all doing good, the joeys are doing great... thankfully. Neal grows sweeter and sweeter by the day. He's like a mini, standard version of his mom. I'm not sure if you guys got the hint in my last post, but he's staying with us. No one is interested in standard gliders anymore anyways, so he may as well stay here. Charli and Tyler's little ones have opened their eyes now. I so desperately want to take outdoor pictures of them, but I fear it's too windy today. They are both SO gorgeous!
Kira, Logan, and Seamus have all put on so much weight. Not like an obscene amount, but they're pretty chubby, especially Logan. We both worry that they're getting too chubby, so we're trying to cut down on the treats a little, which is torture. I guess we need to start tracking his weight.
Omg, have I mentioned that Lucy is pregnant? Like SO pregnant? It's our own stupid faults for not getting her spayed over the winter like we originally intended. We had the appointment made and everything. Then December 1st happened and everything just kind of faded into the darkness. Now it's too late. As soon as these little ones wean, she's getting fixed.
I guess I'm going to call it quits for now. Be sure to check out the beyond adorable pictures of the 3 joeys at the bottom. They're all from last Thursday, so no open eyes from the twins just yet. Until next time...
Love & Peace
