It's a highway song...

Today was yes another great day for open windows, cage cleanings, and even joyrides. We started out with cage cleaning, which we had put off due to bad weather and work. Not to worry, we finished off our remaining two cages and even managed to vacuum the glider room in well under an hour. Normally, that would be a bad number, but not considering we took the cages outside and hosed them, then changed the cage sets. So yes, that is a good number indeed.

After that, and after we ate an early dinner, we decided that there was nothing better to do than go for a joyride. We needed coffee creamer anyways, so that was our main excuse for going. We didn't, however, have one excuse for taking the long way, which we did without question.

All was going well on our drive, we even slowed to a near stop so that I could photograph a gorgeous house that had been built recently. Unfortunately, it seems we startled the home owners enough that they decided to follow us on one of their over-sized 4-wheelers. I honestly don't know what those things are called, a big cat perhaps? Anyways, I was kind of paranoid throughout the rest of the drive, which made it slightly less un-enjoyable.

On our return home, we were greeted by the worried look of aunt Sharon. Apparently she had arrived shortly after we left and just waited on us to return. Anyways, she said that our Satan spawn cat, Toby, had one of the kittens down and was basically trying to kill him/her. We went into panic mode!

Earlier that day, not long after I got up, I went down the to boat and only found 5 of the 6 kittens. I panicked and looked all over the yard for nearly 30 minutes before returning to the boat. I picked one of the kittens up in an attempt to get it to cry -- which is did -- in hopes of getting Lily to come home. What I got in return was even better, the cry of the lost kitten!

Good news yes, but it's not all good. Unfortunately, Lily had decided to move the kittens up to the bow of the boat, completely out of our reach. It's a speedboat, mind you, so there's no possible way of getting to the bow without dislodging the gas tank.

Later in the day, I noticed one more kitten was gone, then another. She's slowly been moving them up there, but who can blame her. There's a kitten murderer on the loose! With the help from our aunt, we managed to get the remaining 3 kittens up there with her. This was no easy task either. It's a small boat with a very complex undercarriage that was extremely difficult to maneuver around.

I attempted to see if all the kittens were up there for a good 30 minutes before my aunt took over. We finally just had to give up and put the rest of the kittens up there. I just hope he didn't do anything to the other ones. We know for sure there are 4 up there, only time will tell if the other two are as well.

So yes, it's been a very exciting day for us indeed! Our day started off to productive and peaceful, then turned into a panicked nightmare. I just hope the kittens are all there and safe. I also hope that Toby doesn't find his way to them. Until next time...

Love & Peace

LaVaughn's spider that she found on the window:

What type of spider come equipped with a glowing reddish orange undercarriage?

Our neighbor's cows:

This was supposed to be a deer. Yeah, not so much.

These are photos that were taken down BB Highway:

This is the new house that was built.

This was also the same house where the car chased/followed us.

This is the house that was built on our favorite scenic spot.

They're going to have an awesome backyard.

That's all folks.
