Of no use sitting in storage...

My uncle's dad gave us his TV when he moved back to Texas way back when. This was back in 2011 or 2012, I can't really remember. It was a super nice 1080p HD Sony flat screen. My uncle's dad did not skimp on quality when it came to buying necessities for his house. He was a rich old man that literally threw thousands and thousands away at the casinos in Vegas. This completely irrelevant to this post, my apologies.

Anyways! He gave us his TV, but we had just purchased our first flat screen, so we didn't feel the need to use that one at the time. We had planned on putting it in the glider room, but we never got around to it, so it's been in storage for over 3 years. This was when we lived in our old house, so we didn't have the use of a second TV at the time, other than in the glider room.

Out of the blue last night, LaVaughn mentioned that we should set it up in our den and replace our old small flat screen with it. It's definitely superior to the cheap one we bought -- plus we were curious what the image quality would be like with our PS4. So we braved the storage earlier today and carried it up to the house.

Wow, what a difference! The quality is impeccable -- it's honestly better than the "fancy" TV we have in the living room, which is a shock. I love it! Gaming is unreal now, I just wish I hadn't rushed through GTA 5 and could enjoy the improved quality.

It's amazing what you forget about when you store stuff. Makes you wonder what the point even is. Now I kinda want to clear everything out and either use it, or throw it away.

Post cleanup.

Kinda hard to share the quality via the computer screen, but you can imagine how nice it is.

Day two of... The Storage Unit Massacre!

We wrapped up the cleaning of the storage until today in just under an hour! I knew it wouldn't take long. I think the longest thing today was sweeping the place out and making it look nice again. Even though we're done with the actual unit, we now have to go through the stuff we kept just to make sure we still want to keep it. I know, fun!

But that will all have to wait until tomorrow. Right now, I so badly need to jump in the shower and wash the day away. Not to mention I need to clean up before we meet Stacie and Justin in Farmington tonight.

Until next time (or later tonight)...

Here are the photos:

A window cover that was in the back of my aunt's truck.

We needed her big ass truck to finish off the mess. Hardly nothing would fit in the tiny car.

Some beautiful flowers on the side of the road.

This is pretty much all that was left. Lots and lots of trash... oh, and a bird cage.

Cat tree on top of some more trash.

 Our storage until door.

We'll miss you, Unit 17...

Day one of... The Storage Until Massacre!

Yes! The day has come! We've finally decided to eradicate our storage unit! We've been renting this thing for well over 4 years. Maybe even 5! And for what? When we first opened the door, I just wanted to set fire to it and shut the door. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible. So the demolishing began.

After only 30 minutes in we were already finding weird things (photo evidence at the bottom). And just so you know, 85% of everything in there was trash! And out of that 85%, I think 70% was old DVD cases. We used to buy DVDs a LOT! So yeah, that was the majority of the junk. We did find a few pretty cool things along with lots of clothes that were hardly used! I'm talking about nearly brand new shirts along with 5 jackets! Yeah, awesomeness! We also managed to find some pretty awesome stuff for our aunt's upcoming yard sale.

Anyway, 5 hours later and we're nearly done! We would have finished everything today, but it was after 8pm and we had lost light. We'll finish it up tomorrow as soon as we get up. It probably wont even take an hour. Until then, I'm going to go rest my tired bones...

Love & Peace

Here are the photos:

No, you're not looking at that wrong... that's an actual mouse skeleton!

Here's another shot of the mouse skeleton. How weird is that!? And it was just sitting there, on a cat tree.

This is the keep pile. It got a little larger after we started adding clothes to it.

More keep items.

The majority of that is trash. Minus the cat tree.

This is the sell pile for the yard sale.

And yes, this is rice! Why in the hell was rice just sitting in a bag of clothes??

And lastly... a burned shirt. I don't remember how or when this happened. So strange...
