Left 4 Dead…

Awesome is really the only way that I can describe this game. It is definitely the best game ever made. We got it Tuesday night and haven’t stopped playing it since. I swear to everyone right now, it will be the best $60 you have ever spend. It’s has so much to offer. Well first, you can choose between four different people: Bill (an old army guy that kicks total ass and sounds a little bit like Bartender from the Feast movies), Francis (a kick ass guy that oddly looks and sounds like Diamond Dallas Page), Louis (comes off as a wimpy business guy, but will save your ass more than anyone else), and last but definitely not least, Zoey (a pretty badass chick that we would be lost without and who also has a very canny eye for the sky). These four magnificent people make the game Left 4 Dead a truly awesome experience. We’ve been playing with one wired Microsoft xBox controller and one wired Joytech controller. Both of which have given us a great gaming experience. But, the Joytech controller is too loose when it comes to aiming and it doesn’t shoot very fast. So yesterday, we were discussing how awesome it would be to have a couple wireless controllers. Considering it would enhance our gaming experience and would stop our two kittens from chewing on the cords. So we thought, “What the hell.” Lets get a couple. So LaVaughn called and asked how much their wireless controllers were and they said that they were $44.92. So we hopped in the car and got to the store ASAP. Well I decided to just run in and grab them. So when I got back to the gaming section, I noticed that the controllers were $49.98 instead. Well I only had $105 on me, so I had to use $2.75 in quarters which sucked, but totally worth it. Well as soon as we got home we started playing again. And oh my god, it is so much better. It’s almost like you’re holding the actual gun. It’s so badass. I can’t believe we never got wireless controllers before. It’ll change your life, lol. Well I guess I better stop there. I could go on for hours. And, I didn’t even tell you about the special creatures. But I don’t really have the energy to type that much, maybe some other time. Well, since this is the best zombie game ever made, I’m gonna have to give it an 100/10. So please, for the love of god, go buy this game now. I swear, if you like horror, action, and just kicking ass with your friends, then this is so the game for you. Peace out, have fun, and kick some major zombie ass!

Do you want to be, Left 4 Dead?…

Well, if not, then I suggest you gather 3 of your closest buds and get ready for the gaming experience of your life. Well, I’m sure the vast majority of you have seen the preview for the new multiplayer co-operative survival horror game Left 4 Dead. Brought to you by the fine people of the Valve Corporation. And for those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, then you’re really missing out. You, and up to 3 of your friends have to help each other through zombie hell. And for those of you who don’t know us, we freak out over anything zombie. We even bought a movie call Automaton Transfusion just because it had a zombie dude on the cover. And let me just say, I really wish we had our $15 back. Word of advice, don’t judge a DVD b its cover. Anyway, the concept of the game is to help your friends through a bunch of scenarios until you reach the end alive. That’s pretty much all I know about it right now. I’ll probably be able to tell you more tomorrow, when we but it! Hopefully we get to but it anyway. Well I guess that’s about it. So, good luckto everyone that will be slaying zombies with the best of them tomorrow. Until next time…

Guitar Hero: World Tour…

Hey again. Last night we were discussing the song list for GH: World Tour and realized, that game would be so awesome to play. So, we figured we should go get it. Well, I called the store and asked how much the GH bundle was for 360. The lady said that it was $179. So we hopped in the car and went on our way. Well we got there and went straight to the electronics and started looking. But all we saw was a bundle for a PS3. So I decided to ask someone if they had it. Well I asked this lady and she said that she thought they did, but she wasn’t sure. So she asked one of the stock guys if they had one. He said yea, that they were in the back. So we fallowed him to the back door and waited. After about 5 minutes or so, the lady came back out and was like, “Sorry, we don’t have one. All we have is for PS3.” Well, we were totally bummed, but still determined to get it. So, we were both cool with the thought of driving to the next town over. Which by they way is Poplar Bluff. Well, about halfway there LaVaughn decided to call Hastings and ask if they had one. And I figured I could go ahead and call Game Stop. I got to talk to someone before she did and the guy informed me that they were out as well. So then LaVaughn asked them and they said they only had one. But by the time she was hanging up I was asking the fine people at Wal*Mart if they had one, and they did. So we finished our long but fun journey to retrieve our heavenly game. Well, we had to stop at the ever so faithful ATM again and retrieve a little more money. And while we were stopped there we heard some people yelling in the background. They sounded oddly like someone off of the Hills Have Eyes. So we hurried up and left. Well we got our game and some Taco Bell and headed home. When we got home we ran in and ate and then cleaned our gaming space up a little. We moved stuff around to give ourselves the ultimate gaming experience and very stage like appearance. And it was so worth it. The game rocks! It totally blew Rock Band out of the water. We got and awesome wireless guitar with a beautiful sunburst finish and a kick ass wireless drum set. The drums are so much cooler than Rock Band drums. I’m in awe over the two awesome symbols. And to top it off, it has a drumstick holder. Yea, badass. And the song list is amazing. I mean, it anything from Love Me Two Times to Crazy Train. I seriously can’t believe it. Now, the only thing you need to invest in is a mic stand. Believe me, it would be so much batter than trying to make your own, like us. We use these really long stick looking things. I think we have a picture of our homemade mic stand in our myspace gallery. Not too sure though. But anyway, if you like music games at all, you’ll love this one. I would give it a 9/10. So peace out and rock hard.

Smackdown! Vs. Raw 2009…

Well, last night, me and LaVaughn went to Poplar Bluff to go see a movie. And as most of you should know, Smackdown! Vs. Raw 2009 just came out Tuesday. And to most people, that means nothing, but to us… that’s a different story. Ever since THQ started developing Smackdown! Vs Raw, we’ve been frequent buyers. But anyway, back to where I started. We were driving along and got halfway to the theater and then LaVaughn was like, “We have to get Smackdown! Vs Raw!” and of coarse, I had no objection. So, LaVaughn called Hastings and asked if they had a copy. They said yes, but they only had 3. So we drove to the closest ATM and got a little extra money out and flew to Hastings. Well, when we got there we went to the gaming station and stood in front of the 360 section staring, trying ever so hard to find what we were looking for. And after we finally spotted it, we saw that they only had 2. So we found the nearest clerk guy and had him get it for us. Well, we ran back to the car and started ripping. After we looked at it for a while we started getting more and more anxious to play. And then LaVaughn was like, “So, do you wanna go to the movie, or do you just want to go get some food and go home?” Well I had no objections to just going home. So we grabbed some Wendy’s and headed back home. We decided to eat on the was so that we could get right to it as soon as we got there. And that’s just what we did. Well, the game is pretty awesome, like always. But the only downside, you can’t do the GM mode, and that blows. But what they lack in GM mode, they make up for in Wrestlers. Like for instance, the Hardy Boys. That makes it all better. Well, if you like wrestling, really buff guys, and divas, then you should get this game. You’ll love it. And not to mention, the graphics are way better this time around. I would give it a 7.5/10.

A huge update...

Well it’s been a while since I’ve updated our blog. But, now I have loads to blog about. So, sit back, relax, and prepare to be entertained.

First, I have to sing the praises of Saints Row 2. It’s one of the coolest games EVER! We bought it last week sometime, and it was worth every penny. I thought the first one was awesome, but this one really blew the lid off of awesome. You can pretty much customize everything. And you can even be a girl this time. Pretty badass. But I still like being a guy. Our dude is British and looks like Miroslav from Hostel 2. He’s awesome looking. Our girl is pretty badass too. She looks like Harley Mom from Feast. A little less boyish than Bike Queen from Feast 2. I love that you can buy loads of houses and drive pretty much anything you want. One of my faves is the mini bike. It’s so awesome. We got a bunch of cheats for it, so that helps. But word of advice, if you do the money cheat, make sure that it’s the very first cheat you put in. Cause you have to go through a whole bunch of stuff on your cell phone and the money cheat being first just makes it that much easier. You’ll understand when you try it. I would have to give Saints Row 2 a 9/10.

Ok, another update on our cat situation. We figured nine cats was too much for anyone, so we decided to find loving homes for some of them. LaVaughn’s mom (my aunt) kept the little gray boy and we kept the little white one, but you knew that already. But we found someone that wanted Veronica and the tree kittens and someone that wanted Lilly. So that leaves us with Zoe (our inside cat), Mischa (the little white kitten), October (our outside cat that came here 2 months go). But that’s not all, we got another cat too. Well, this cat kind of came to us really. See, we like to drive around and take pictures of places we lived. But in this case, it was a place that my Grandma and Grandpa lived in almost 20 years ago. Is an old abandoned house in Fredericktown, anyway. Well, I was walking around taking pictures and video and LaVaughn decided to go back to the road. But then I heard her yell my name. So I looked back and saw a little baby kitten jump on her shoulder. An of coarse, I ran over there as fast as I could. Well, we help and rubbed on her for a long time. And then LaVaughn was like, I can’t leave her.” and I was like, “Are you serious?”. So, LaVaughn handed her to me and I carried her over to the car. And luckily, we keep a pet taxi in the trunk of our car, so it was no trouble getting her home in the backseat of our car with Milla sitting next to her. Well, we went to the closest store and got her a can of cat food. She was so hungry. She almost ate the whole can. And she’s a little kitten. She smaller than the kittens that Veronica had. So she had to have been born after September 11th. After she ate, we were kind of freaking out about taking her home. We were scared she belonged to someone. So we scoured the are looking for a yard that had cats. But all that got us was a guy that thought we were stalking him. He even got a camera and took a picture of our car and I think he even wrote our license plate number down. It was good stuff. Well we didn’t want him calling the cops, so I pulled up next to his house and LaVaughn got out and asked if he owned a little yellow kitten. Well he was like, “No, that cat has been coming through my fence and I have to put it on the outside everyday.” and then he was like, “Do you have it?” and LaVaughn said yea, and then he was like, “Well, it’s yours then.”. So that’s when we decided to keep her. She is so cute and sweet. She’s pretty much all yellow except on her legs, neck, and stomach. And she has brown eyes with a little green around the outside. They’re what LaVaughn likes to call, candy eyes. We decided to name her Oona. Cause she looks like the fairy Oona from the movie Legend. It fits her so well.

Well Thursday, LaVaughn was like, “I wanna get my eyebrow pierced.”. So about 7:00 Thursday night, we went to Ink Addiction in Farmington. And luckily, no one was there. Just the guy that did the piercing and his girlfriend, at least I think she was his girlfriend. The whole way up there LaVaughn kept asking me if I wanted to get anything pierced and I kept saying no. Well, when we got there it was a different story. So, LaVaughn got her right eyebrow pierced and I got the other side of my lip pierced. But instead of the dude giving us a choice in size and shape, he just gave us both 14g loops. And that sucks considering I have a 16g loop. But at least I can put a smaller loop in if I want. Better than him putting an 18g. They’re both sore, mines worse, but at least we look badass now, lol. Not that we didn’t before or anything.

Like 2 days after, she got a nice little black eye.

You can see what it looks like from far off here. Pretty nice I thought.

My lip got so swollen this time. This first time it barely puffed up.
Here's mine from far off. It'll look better when I can change the ring.

Um, we got a bunch of new movies. We went to Hastings twice in the past week. The first time we got The Watcher with Keanu Reeves. It’s kind of like a cop drama type. Pretty good if you’re in the mood for something like that. I would give it a 7/10. And we also got The Crucible. It about the Salem witch trials. It has Daniel Day-Lewis and Winona Ryder. This is a really good movie. I would give it a 7.5/19. And the day we got Oona, we got Bobby. That was another really good movie. It has loads of people in it. Anyone from Demi Moore to Freddy Rodriguez to Shia LaBeouf. I would give it a 7.5/10. The second time we kind of went crazy. We really only went there to get one movie, A Walk In The Clouds. So when we got there, we went to the music section first to look at the body jewelry. Well, before we left that section we found a pot leaf air freshener for the car. It was only 3.00, so why not right. Well, we made our way to the DVD section to find the movie. We found it and then decided to go look at the horror section for a little bit… wrong! We should never be allowed anywhere near that section ever again. Well naturally, we went a little nuts. See, we though that DVDs in general was our weakness, but no. Zombie movies are our weakness. We found so many, like: Night of the Living Dead 3D, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Flight of the Living Dead, King of the Zombies/Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and for the non-zombie movies: Fast Times at Ridgemont High and The Blob. And by the time we were done looking around, we had put back the movie we came for and the air freshener, lol. It was good stuff. Then like the day after that, we got The Strangers. Didn’t really care for that one though. I would give it a 5/10.

Lets see, what else? Oh, we got these cute little black Phillips Mp3 players. They’re both 2g and so cute. They also store like hundreds of pictures and video. And can you believe they were only $50 each? I know, it was a steal. And we also got a pair of Phillips surround sound headphones. They were a little pricey, like $15 each. But they are so awesome. If you turn the volume all the way up on them, you can’t hear anything else. And last but ton least, we got a pink iHome Mp3 speaker dock. It’s really awesome. You can take it anywhere. We take it in the car mostly.

Well, I guess that concludes today’s session, lol. Until next time. Rock on!

Ps,
Today is LaVaughn’s Birthday. So, Happy Birthday LaVaughn!!

Happy Halloween…

Hello my fellow freaks. Nothing important to say, just a Happy Halloween to all my readers. I hope each and everyone of you have the time of tour life. Some of you may Trick-or-Treat and some of you may party till dawn, and some of you may even stay home and watch Ghost Hunters live for the 3rd time in a row. Now what does Halloween mean for us? Well terrorizing the local Trick-or-Treaters of coarse. Maybe even go to the graveyard and summon some long forgotten spirits. Well, that’s for us to figure out. So, to the rest of you, have fun, be safe, and always, always wear a condom. Or next year you’ll be taking your kids Trick-or-Treating, lol. So peace out, rock hard, and have a Happy Halloween. Oh, and remember… Don’t fear the reaper…

Postponed…

Hey peeps. I just thought I’d let you know that it’s going to be a while before I post a blog about the Lionsgate films. I figured we would’ve watched them all by now. We only have like two left, so… But, a few days ago we were driving by Movie Gallery and noticed they had a “Buy 2 Get 2 Free” sale going on. And come on, anyone who knows us knows that we can’t pass up a DVD sale. So we stopped in and got some. We got some really good ones like: What Happens In Vegas, The Devil’s Advocate, Legend: Special Edition, and one of my favorites, May. It’s just awesome when Movie Gallery has great buys like that. But anyway, we’ve been watching those. And when we’re not watching our new movies, we’re watching Feast and Feast 2. Those movies kick so much ass. Oh, we also just bought The 40 Year Old Virgin yesterday, awesome movie by the way. Well, I guess that’s about it. I just wanted to let my peeps know, lol. Peace out!

Just some updates…

Hey people. We just got back from taking our grandma to her doctor in Potosi, so I thought I’d blog a little. Nothing really exciting to tell you, just some recent news and whatnot. In a few days I’ll probably blog about the new line of horrorfest films called, “Ghost House Underground.” brought to you by Lionsgate. I guess the After Dark crew decided to pass on the horrorfest this year. But not to worry, these movies are just as good, maybe even better. But, we’ll leave that for another blog.

First, I’m going to give you a little update on the kitten situation. We’ve decided to keep only one kitten, the little white one. And not just because she’s white, but because she’s the sweetest one of the bunch. And she’s the only one that doesn’t run when we come near them. And we figured it would be easier to just keep one, and less expensive. So now, that puts us up to 4 cats. And she’s going to be an inside cat, so that’s cool. And we also decided on a name, Mischa.

Well, last Thursday we went to Hastings to pick up a reserved copy of Feast 2. And for those of you who don’t know about the Feast movies, they’re kind of underground. They never went to theater or had a huge DVD release. But they are awesome. They’re directed by John Gulager. And I’m sure a lot of you don’t know who he is, but he’s the son of Clu Gulager who starred in Return of the Living Dead, one of my all time favorite movies. So that makes him that much cooler. But anyway, Feast 2 was totally awesome and totally worth $17. If you’ve never seen these movies, you should definitely rent them. But I have to warn you, they have some pretty nasty parts, so if you‘re queasy or have a weak stomach, I don‘t suggest watching these. Since I never blogged about the first Feast, I‘ll go ahead and rate it for you too. So, I would give Feast a 9/10 and Feast 2 a 8/10. They’re really awesome.

And last but not least… I beat Guitar Hero: On Tour on expert. When I first got the game I played for like 2 days straight and I beat it on hard and almost on expert. I was stuck on the very last song by Lynyrd Skynyrd. But like 3 days ago I got it out and started playing again, and to my surprise, I beat it on the first try. I was shocked. But very proud of myself. But now, I’m like so sick of it. I can barely bring myself to play it. I need a new DS game. Well that’s about all of that.

I know I had more to blog about, but I forgot. So I guess I’m going to end it here. If I think of anything else, I’ll blog it later. Ooh, and if you haven’t seen Quarantine yet, you should schedule it in for the weekend. I guarantee you’ll like it. Peace out bitches!

Quarantine...

Well, earlier today, LaVaughn was like, “Hey, we should go to the movie.” and I was like, “Sure, lets go.” So off we went. When we got there, we saw that they were showing Quarantine. And ever since we saw the preview of Quarantine two months ago, we said we wanted to see it. So, that’s the one we chose. And oh my god, that movie was freaking awesome! It‘s one of the best horror movies I‘ve seen in a long time. I‘m not going to say too much about it cause you need to see it and I don‘t want to spoil it for you. There were a couple of parts in the move that made everyone in the theater jump. So please, do yourself a favor and go see this movie. You’ll be thankful you did. I would have to give this movie at least a 9/10. It was that good. Peace out and enjoy the movie. - Megan

To the Dam we go…

Well, the other day we decided to go to the Clearwater Dam to take some pictures. So, as the kind, giving person that I am, I thought I would share these lovely pictures. It’s nothing special. Just a small little Dam in the small little town of Piedmont. But there is a pretty nice view from the top. Most of these pictures were taken on the 4th, but the last few were taken yesterday. So, I hope you all enjoy. Oh, we bought The Happening Tuesday. And honestly, I’ve never been a big fan of M. Night’s film. But this movie really changed my mind. It’s the best film of M. Night that I’ve ever seen. It’s a creepy, “I can’t believe what I’m seeing.” type of movie. I would suggest this for any Horror/Sci-Fi fan. And the score… 7.5 big ones. Yes, I liked it that much. Well, I guess that about wraps it up. So, in case I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night. Peace. - Megan

Hey Japanese (said with a voice like the butcher in Hannibal Rising)! Ah, good times, good times. For those of you who haven’t seen Hannibal Rising, there’s this butcher on there yelling, “Hey Japanese!” at this lady. He says it really weird so we like say it all the time. I know I said I’d add some pictures like a week ago, but I’ve been really busy. So, that’s mostly what this post is going to be about. These pictures were taken between 9-1-08 to 9-29-08. So pretty much the month of September, lol. Thus explaining why there are so many. I had more but didn’t feel like uploading all of them. So, here you go. Hope everyone enjoys them. Until next time, peace out! - Megan
