Weekly iPhone Roundup {11.12 - 11.18}

Here we are again with another Friday iPhone recap. I used to didn't take that many pictures on my phone, but for some reason I've been taking a lot more the past month or two. Maybe it's because I subconsciously knew that I would do a weekly photo recap, who knows. Not really, of course, but it's just something that I'm into right now. This is what I used to do before 2018 when I posted on Instagram religiously. I still don't post there, Idk why, but something inside me won't allow it.

This has been a fairly exciting week. LaVaughn got a tattoo on her feet Tuesday, then my camera arrived Wednesday. I cleaned the little fish tank which was WAY overdue, then we set up 90% of the Christmas Village Friday. There are lots of random pictures in-between as well, hope you enjoy!

This was Walmart Saturday - SO packed! It was worse than the picture.

My moms flocked Christmas tree she just ordered.

Found these cute little inflatable ornaments at Dollar Tree - ended up getting two of the colored ones for the side of the house.

Found a decent selection of movies at Dollar Tree too. Half of these are for my aunt and uncle.

Guess there was another lettuce recall this past Monday.

Yes, I made this mess at Walmart. And yes, I did notify someone and apologize.

More snow this past Monday night!

Outside of Artisan Ink in Farmington.

Sketchy ass building, for real.

This is the hallway to the ladies bathroom.

This is the mens bathroom.

The transfer of LaVaughn's tattoo.

This is the tattoo artist, Colin.

It was literally just us three in there. The tattoo place was very clean.

It had an industrial feel to it.

Last one for good measure. I guess I forgot to add the picture of the finished product to this post. If I don't forget, I'll add it to next weeks.

Got some buy three get one free fish at Petco. These are Platys and one ended up dying.

My star light.

I didn't know which picture I liked more, so I added both.

The freshly cleaned fish tank. It was still a smidge cloudy here.

Projector lights from Dollar Tree that my mom got us.

The Christmas Village with just the houses.

The tank today, much clearer.

Some fancy Volpi snacks that our neighbors gave us. This box and then another whole case.

And some of these Boar's Head mozzarella and prosciutto things as well.

More of the Christmas village after we added trees and people.

It still needs the street lights, though.

And lastly, the Christmas village with the lights on.

Weekly iPhone Roundup {11.7 - 11.11}

This week was fairly uneventful. I mean, we had the Monday ordeal which I posted about Tuesday. Then there was the Midterms and me running around and taking an insane amount of pictures. We've been cleaning a lot in preparation of Thanksgiving week because we start rolling out the decorations that week. I honestly think we're gonna do the Christmas village next week, but I'm not 100% yet.

LaVaughn's birthday is tomorrow, but since we'll be in Perryville working, we celebrated today. It wasn't really even a celebration, but Aunt Sharon made a cake and we took pictures, the usual. I mean, I guess it was a celebration, lol.

I don't think I've mentioned this, but a lady contacted me last week about doing their family photos next Friday, but I haven't heard from her in a few days with a location. Speaking of, I need to text her. She said there will be 7 or 8 people, two of them being kids. I'm wanting to use my 85, but I'm scared it'll be too tight on my DX camera. I've been looking for a cheap, used FX camera, but it's extremely difficult.

There's a lady in Lesterville that has a D850 with like 5 lenses and extras for $2500. She's had it listed for months, so I doubt she'll sell it at that price around here. I mean, D850s are going for $1500 used, so she should really take her sale to eBay. I messaged her a couple months ago and asked if she would sell her tripod separately, but she said no. So I messaged her earlier this week and lowballed her a price for just the camera body, but naturally she declined.

I'm shifting my gaze from the out of my price range D850 to the D750. There's a dude on Marketplace in STL that has one for $500, but he's only responded once and I'm sick of messaging him. I'm just super anxious about all of this. I'm anxious about the potential shoot next week, anxious about finding a good used camera and super anxious about spending the money. I don't like spending money, but if I can make it back on like 2-3 shoots, it's justified.

I hate anxiety.

Okay, I guess I'll stop ranting for now. hopefully I'll know more about everything next week.

View from the drive to Cape Monday. This is highway 55.

A Dollar Tree Plus sign that my mom has been looking for.

Christmas lights on our fence at home.

Tis the season! Check out the Christmas tree!

Here's the World War Z game on PS4. So worth it!

From mine and Max's walk Tuesday.

Max is such a beautiful boy.

He's the prettiest Boxador.

Late night trip to DG Wednesday for cabinet cleaner.

View from my camera Thursday when I was out taking pics.

And lastly, LaVaughn's birthday cake that I decorated... not the best, but not terrible.

2016 Holiday Rewind...

We kicked off the holiday season Thursday by making all kinds of holiday sweets. We made sugar cookies, Oreo balls, fudge and then some. I had to work Friday, so not much took place then. We did gift swap at work -- really it was just LaVaughn and I giving Shawna her gifts, but still.

Since we had two people bail on the Christmas festivities this year, it was just me, LaVaughn, my aunt and uncle. Talk about a small gathering, but it was most definitely a merry one.

We spent the first half of Christmas Eve drinking coffee and making food for the following day. We then watched Rudolph -- yes, the ancient one that scares me more than the scariest of horror movies. My aunt loves it and she loves frosty too, but luckily we only had to endure Rudolph. Sorry auntie, I love you. It was so painful to watch, I'm not even joking. I had such a hard time composing myself while we watched, but I was good and made it through the entire movie without cracking up.

After that was over, so began to open presents. Everyone had a great time and (hopefully) got everything they wanted. I know I did -- some of my favorite gifts were a Jessica Simpson bag, Bobs by Sketchers and my new Deadpool jacket. It was a blessed Christmas Eve to say the least.

Christmas Day my aunt, uncle and LaVaughn all went to church. This was my first Sunday off in months, so I stayed home. I still got up right at 11, but it's whatever. LaVaughn went to bed as soon as they got home, so I helped my aunt make Christmas dinner. LaVaughn and I didn't eat until after communion that night, so it was a late Christmas dinner for us.

I honestly can't believe I'm blogging this late, but we have a busy week coming up. We're meeting up with Doug and Kyan tomorrow in Festus so they can ship our girls Wednesday, then Tuesday we have to drive my aunt and uncle to Farmington so she can see her lawyer, then we're all going to AT&T to hopefully (fingers crossed) get new phones. Then Wednesday we're supposed to meet up with Angie and her kids for dinner in Ironton. Looks like Thursday is my only free day this week, because I'm back to work after that. Sigh... I'm already exhausted just thinking of all of that.

I hope you all had very Merry Christmas! Until next time...
