Forgotten Photos

I completely forgot that I took some photos with my Nikon Friday. I guess cause of all the chaos of the week, not to mention working in Perryville over the weekend. It's rare that I ever go out and take photos this time of year due to the cold and there being nothing to photograph. I mean, there are loads of things to photograph, but it's too repetitive.

I not only used my 105mm lens, but my Tokina as well. I don't always keep my Tokina attached, but I keep it close by at all times. We're on the brink of Milky Way season and I don't want to miss anything, lol.

Anyways, here are the pics that I took last Friday:

Landscape view of the yard.

The tree on the right is so beautiful in the spring and fall.

Always trying to capture sun stars whenever I can.

Found a nice dead twig.

Max pretending he's an orphan.

I honestly don't know why he lays in this rickety old dog house sometimes. He loves to hide in here when it's storming, as opposed to being in the house where he lives.

More puffball weeds.

I really don't know what these weeds are called.

But they're cute.

And photogenic.

Last pompom in the sun.

I do love these pine trees on the other side of the fence. This isn't the best picture I've taken of them, but it's still nice.

Idk why this dog is so cute and so mean looking at the same time.

It's a big, 120lb ball of love.

Weekly iPhone Roundup {1.21 - 1.27}

Another week gone, another snow storm that resulted in a power outage. Years ago this area lost power if the wind blew in the wrong direction, then the electricity company "fixed" it somehow and we were able to withstand all kinds of storms without so much as a flicker. Now it's polar opposite and the electricity goes off even when it's not storming. It's murder.

Still in Sim mode, so not doing much else. I mean, with the power outage there was no playing, but still. I'm slowly starting to get out of it, though. You can only play the Sims for so long before you start losing it and eventually getting creeped out by the thought. Then you put the game away for 3-4 months before it sounds enjoyable again. It's a strange thing if you think about it.

Not much more to talk about, so I'll leave it at that. Hope everyone has a safe weekend!

Waiting in line at Taco Bell for my little bro.

Watching the second episode of The Last of Us. All I can say is amazing. Everything was awesome, even the amazing clicker.

Tuesday I made some homemade beef stew (with vegan meat) and it was delicious.

Pics of the snow storm from my phone.

Not really a snow storm, but these snow covered trees make you think it is.

It was enough of a snow storm to knock out the power.

Thank God for kerosene heaters.

One more of the heavily snow covered trees.

Poor Max was terrified because the power kept going off and making a terrifying sound to him.

This snow covered oak tree is a beauty.

Ventured out Friday for some items from Dollar General.

The air was crisp and refreshing, as was the bright lighting.

Mid-January Snow Storm

As I'm sure most of the Midwest knows this by now, but a considerable snow storm ripped through Southeast Missouri last night leaving thousands without power - including us. Thank God that it's back on today, but it has flashed off a couple times leaving me with lingering anxiety that it's going to go off again. There are still people close to us that have no power, so we're one of the lucky ones, which I'm undeniably thankful for.

I documented most of the snowfall on my phone, which I'll share Friday, but I did take my camera and wide-angle Tokina lens to the front door to try and capture a better photo of just how much snow was hanging on the trees. It was a very dense, heavy snow which is why there were so many power outages last night. I'm just thankful ours is back on and pray to God that it stays that way.

Here are some pics of the heavy snowfall on the trees:

See how immensely heavy the snow was on the trees?

The snow covered weeping willow looks haunting.

Not gonna lie, all of the trees look kind of spooky covered in snow.

Last snow covered tree photo. I'm in love with how well the Tokina does in low lighting.

Weekly iPhone Roundup {12.24 - 12.30}

I know I haven't blogged all week, but there's honestly been nothing to blog about. I've spent a lot of time with family this week - when I'm not doing that I'm playing games... shocker. I'm so very thankful for our new internet provider, but it's still not fiber fast, but it gets the job done. I've been downloading God of War: Ragnarok since Sunday and it's still not done. Mind you, I don't let it download 24/7, but roughly 12 hours a day maybe. It's like 86gb, but I was able to play it when it hit like 28gb, so there's that.

Let me just say that this game is a blast! I mean, it's as GOW as any other, but the combat in this game is what makes it's so much fun.

In between downloading that, I've been playing the remastered version of The Last Of Us. Literally been one of y favorite games of all time since December of 2014, which is when I got it for the first time on PS4. Plus I'm wanting to play while I impatiently wait on HBO's The Last Of Us to come out. I've been counting down the days for months now.

Anyways, here are the random ass photos from my week. Hope everyone has a save and Happy New Year!

Snowy view from upstairs, just before we went home Christmas Eve.

The most random Christmas Eve shopping items.

Our beautiful snow covered road.

Homemade rice crispie treats.

Homemade sugar cookies.

The one present I'll share with you, my awesome new tripod that my aunt and uncle got me. SO thankful to have a new one, I can't wait for Milky Way season!

Homemade pumpkin bars with homemade icing.

Kool-Aid pie and cream cheese pie with toffee topping.

My beautiful boxador.

This is one of my favorite purchases this year. It's a palm tree light for camping, which my uncle mentioned he wanted late summer. He loved it.

More snow Christmas night.

This was like 3:30am Monday.

Still snowing at 3pm Monday.

God of War Ragnarok was 89% away from being able to play. There was still like 60gb to go.

Seriously obsessed with this spinach and artichoke dip right now. I took this pic because I asked my aunt to pick some up for me.

The Last Of Us Remastered. Seriously the best game ever.

And lastly, a wet leaf on concrete.

Winter Warmth

I know I haven't been around much lately, but with the holidays barely over, it's kind of obvious as to why. It's also been so cold and snowy lately, I haven't been outside doing anything. Mainly just impatiently waiting on games to download so that I can play them.

I did venture out earlier today when I walked Max and got a few decent pictures of leaves and him. Nothing buzz worthy, but it is something worth sharing. Hope everyone is having a good week!

Leaves on snow.

Leaves next to grass.

Just leaves in general.

Max looking sketchy AF.

Legit looks like he wants to attack someone, but he doesn't.

Sniffing sticks.

Sniffing weeds.

Lastly, Max's paw prints in the snow.
