I think Robbie is finally starting to settle...

Seriously, he is one of the cutest and one of the sweetest ferrets ever! He reminds me on Ben in SO many ways. We've been getting him out a couple times a day to let him run amok in the kitchen, he seems to enjoy himself. He still doesn't play like a normal ferret, I think that's due to his previous owners. But, I don't want to get into that, he's got a good home now.

Anyway, just wanted to give a little update and share some pics and a video. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Love & Peace

-Megan

Here's some pics:

Here he is trying some treats (which I don't think he's ever had).

 He LOVES bags!

 No idea, lol.

I think it's safe to say that this is my favorite picture!

 Just his treats.

 See, he loves bags.

 Another bag shot.

 Too cute!

 This is just weird.

 I know it's blurry, but it's cute.

He's probably sick of them now, he ate loads!

 A close-up of his treats.

Having a drink of Milla's water. And no, her bowl is not dirty, it's stained. ;)

Just another one of his treats.

And here's the video:

Off I go...

Well, today I had to take my grandma to dialysis again. So I've been gone all day. But, I still found time to blog. Cause that's what I do baby, lol. So here we go...

First, I'm going to rewind to last night. As you know, we got some more glider stuff in the mail today. But this time, we got a bigger box. And like always, it was filled with glorious little white things (not sure what you call them). So, we decided to keep it for Ben. So we got him out, sat in the floor, and waited for him to dive in. But... he didn't. He hated it! Well, I guess he didn't hate it, but he didn't like it as much as I though he would. He was in it for like 10 seconds. He's a punk ass. But, we got some pretty good pictures. And while I'm on the subject of Ben, I need to go ahead and share this with you. He has blood wings on his back. Well, not literally, but the shape of the hair on his back slightly resembles that of blood wings. And for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, you should watch Pumpkinhead 2. That'll explain everything. Anyway, his hair has been falling out and growing back in like crazy. And right now, it looks a little weird. That's all though, just wanted to let you know...

Ok, we're still on last night. Well, we were thinking about selling some old stuff that we didn't want anymore. And where is the best place to sell stuff online for free? why craigslist of course. We decided to sell our old digital camera, ferret cage, a couple games, some movies, and a Moby Dick book (don't ask, lol). Well today around 5 or so, we got a call. And guess what the guy wanted? Our ferret cage. I couldn't believe it. It hadn't even been on craigslist for 24hrs. The guy said that we should consider it sold. So that was awesome. Then he was asking where we should meet. So, since he lives a few towns over, we decided to meet him half way. So then he was saying that he had to work all day tomorrow and that he might have his dad meet us up there instead. So he called his dad and had his dad call me and then we decided on a time. Which by the way is 4:00 tomorrow evening. So, hopefully everything works out and we get to sell the cage tomorrow.

Ok, back to today. On the drive from my grandma's to the dialysis center, I found 2 adorable little turtles on the side of the road. And I really, really love turtles. So naturally, I had to have them. So I found a box in the trunk of the car and stuck them in it. I was so excited at first, then I felt so bad. After I dropped my grandma off, I went to the car and got them out for a little bit. They were so cute but so pitiful too. So I decided to just let them go. But, at least I got to touch them. And I got a couple pictures of them. That's about all though...

Well, I think I'm done for today. Hope it wasn't too boring. Until next time, peace out and always remember to watch for turtles on the road.

Song of the day: Across The Universe by The Beatles

This is the box of awesomeness.
This was such a great face shot of Ben, I just had to put it.
This picture turned out a little blurry, but it was too cute to pass up.

As you can see in this picture, he has a V shape on his back. So please, watch Pumpkinhead 2 and you'll understand everything.

And here are the beautiful little turtles that I got. They are so cute. Sorry the picture quality isn't that well. I had to take these with my phone.

This is the first one I got. He was a little bigger than the other one.

And this is the smaller one. They were both so cute...

Oh yea, I didn't even blog about this picture. This is just some of the damage that Fredericktown got. I just had to get a picture of all the trees that were down in the cemetary. It was horrible. too bad I didn't have the camera, then you could see them really good...

Just to let you know...

Last night was crazy. It stormed so bad. I though we were going to be blown away, lol. But I don't think that would've bothered me as much as losing the electricity would. But luckily, we're still going strong. In other news, I mostly wanted to give you a little update on a few things. Like for example; animals, websites, and some other odd things. So sit back, relax, and prepare to be informed...

Well first, I want to tell you about some dog treats that we got to try out. They're called "Better Than Ears". We got a little sample pack in the mail yesterday. And Milla loved it. She ate it in like 30 seconds. And she's usually a picky treat eater. So, if you have a puppy that you love to shower in treats, then you might want to pick yourself up a pack. I think your puppy will love them.

Ok, last night was the anual "Cage Cleaning Night" at our place. And in the process, we got a few good pictures of the animals. Ok, for you Hollis fans out there, we didn't get any good pictures of him. He is extremely jumpy and scares easily, lol. So all the pictures we got he wasn't looking, his face was in the camera, or they were washed out. So hopefully in the near future, we'll get a couple good ones to go on here. Until then, you can enjoy the ones we got last night...

Ok, now for a little misunderstanding. In an earlier blog entitled "Movie reviews and some other stuff" I listed a couple glider sites that were pretty cool. But one isn't. It's called
http://gliderconnection.com/glider/. It a horrible glider site. We ordered a safety wheel, some nectar, and some bonding patches. At the time we thought we were getting a really good deal, since it was onlt $10, but we were wrong. So when we got it in the mail and opened it up guess what we found? A freakin hamster wheel, some humming bird nectar, and cut up pieces of fleece! It was so dissapointing. So please, don't get any glider stuff there. It's not worth it. We would've sent it back, but we have humming bird feeders and John Rambo needed a new wheel. If you want a really good glider site, then go to this link > http://sugar-glider-store.com/. It's the coolest site ever. That's where we've been getting all of our glider stuff from. And it has the same foods that exotic nutrition has, only cheaper.

Lets see... oh yea. We got an awesome little pink hammock a couple weeks ago at PetsWay for our gliders. But when we got home and put it in the cage, we noticed that it was a little too open. So we called my aunt and asked her if she could kind of sew it and make it like a pouch. And sure enough, she said she could. So we left it at her house for like a week and she just got it back to us. It is so cute. It's going to make the perfect little pouch for our gliders.

Well, I think that's all I have to say for now. If we get the rest of the stuff we ordered today, then I'll probably blog it. So until then, I think you know what to do... Peace...

Here's what the little treats look like.

and here's what your puppy will look like eating them.

This was like the only one of Ben we got. He's super hard to take pictures of. He flips his head around and bubbles is head down in his neck somehow. But this one was good I though. Sorry so bright.

In case you forgot what John Rambo looked like, here you go. we haven't put any pictures of him in a long time. He's so super sexy...

Another awesome one of him.
Ok, this isn't technically an animal, but it's an animal feather. We found this beautiful feather last night by the bird cage. I love the colors on it. It's so super fly...
This is the back of the pouch. So super cute.

And this is the front. Can't wait to see little glider heads peeking out, lol.

Off we go.. again...

Yup, it's true. We just got back from PB. Except today we were on a mission. A mission for what you ask? A mission to find sugar gliders! But in the end our mission failed.

We left our place about 9:00 or so and started on our journey. We had looked up some numbers for some other pet stores in Poplar Bluff the night before. Since we only go to PetsWay we thought we'd try some other ones. So while we were on our way we called a few and asked if they had any sugar gliders. None of which had any. But we thought we'd check some of the stores out anyway. Our first stop was Pets R Us. It's kind of in a mini mall type building. You walk in the front door and go down a long ass set of stairs and then you're there. You can also come in through the back (where we should've came in). But overall the store was pretty cool. Way different than PW. In this store they had some dogs and a whole bunch of kittens. And I mean some super cute kittens. And the ladies that worked there seemed pretty nice.

Then we went to our ever faithful, PetsWay. We walked around in there for a little while. But we didn't really find anything. Other than a missing hedgehog and one on hold. That sucked balls. But oh well, I got over it. All we got there was a corner scooper for Ben's cage and some vitamin stuff to go in his food. Then we were off again.

Our next stop was at another pet store that we looked up. LaVaughn had to call and get directions. And that was not easy. We had to go to downtown Poplar Bluff. It was so confusing. I think we circled the post office like 3 times. Then we drove down a one way street the wrong way. That was super fun. And to top it all off, we were on some kind of stone road the entire time. Then after about 30 minutes of driving around we finally found it. It wasn't in a nice neighborhood either. There were like abandoned buildings all around us. We were so freaked to leave Milla in the car cause we had to park like a block away from it. So we like ran all the way there. And then when we got in there it was just an oblong room full of fish tanks! It was so disappointing. There was like one worker guy and like 3 other boys standing around. We walked over to the corner and stood there for like 10 seconds and then left. It was such a creepy place! We are so never going there again. We were so happy to see the strip again.

Then we just had to stop at Hastings. I mean come on, do you know us at all? Well we looked around in there for a while. Then I was in the horror section when LaVaughn ran around the corner and was like, "Dude, look what I found!" and I was like, "What." then she showed me. It was WrestleMania 23 and 24! But the awesome part, WrestleMania was in a sealed Ultimate Box Set package. And how much do you think that was? Only $12.99! A steal I tell you. I was so stoked. Then we went and looked at the wrestling DVDs for like 30 minutes. We found so many PPVs that we don't have. But we decided to just wait and buy them online. So by the time we left we had WrestleMania 23 and 24 and this movie called Black Sheep (which I'll rate after we watch it). One of the checkout guys recommended it the last time we were in there. So then we left.

When we got back to town we had do grab a few things and pay a few bills. Like car insurance and our phone bill. Then we had to get some dish soap, paper plates for the animals, and some detergent. And while I was in there I couldn't help but notice a movie that we didn't have. It's called Rest Stop: Don't Look Back. It's the second part to Rest Stop. That was a pretty cool movie. Really weird, but well worth the watch. So I'll be rating that in the future as well.
Then we got home a checked the mail. Where we were pleased to find a movie that we had ordered. It's called Feast of Love. Never seen it. But it has Morgan Freeman in it. So it can't be all bad. I'll also rate that in the future. Then after we got all of our stuff out of the car we walked to the door only to find a slip from FedEx! Those bastards came today! And guess what they had? Our freakin Voyagers! I was so upset. They were supposed to be here tomorrow. Oh well, you can't win them all.

I think that's about all that happened today. If I forgot anything I'll probably just put it in my next blog. Peace out!

Oh yea, sorry for the lack of pictures here lately. I haven't really go to take any good ones. So I'll put a couple pictures of a Voyager at the bottom for you. Peace!

Song of the day: Baby Please Don't Go by Big Joe Williams

Where did the time go?…

Seriously, where did the time go? It’s been forever and a day since my last blog. About 4 months I think. But all in good reason. Gees, I don’t even remember where my last blog left off. Well Lucy, we have a lot of explaining to do…

To start everything off. Just after Thanksgiving my grandma started to get sick. She wouldn’t eat and she slept all the time. So after about a week or so of her being sick and not wanting to go to the doctor. We decided to make her go. Well the first hospital we took her to that will go unnamed for now just sent her home after about five hours of pretty much nothing. So the next day we all realized the she was sick and still needed to go to the doctor. So my aunt (LaVaughn’s mom) took her to a bigger hospital a few towns over. Where they immediately stuck an IV in her arm and gave her a room. This story if pretty long so I’m going to make it as short as possible. She was in there for 14 days and during that time she had a few different infections and her kidneys were failing. So after about a week of the doctors trying to get her kidneys to function, they decided to just put her on dialysis. So now she has to go to a dialysis clinic three time a week. But I think that’s a small price to pay. At least she’s doing good now.

After all that happened things started to go back to normal.

First, we got another ferret. It was in the pet store and was oh so cute at the time. So of course, we had to have it. We brought her home and she and our other ferrets got along so well. Then after a while we were talking. And moving came up a time or two. And we were thinking, “No one would rent a house/apartment to us with all of our animals.” So we were thinking about maybe trying to find some of them a nice new home. After about a week of that we decided to drop the whole “moving thing” and forget about getting rid of our animals. So we went on out way. Then we were talking one day about how much Ginger would go to the bathroom in the floor. And ever since we got Ginger (our Chihuahua) we’ve tried to potty train her. We tried walking her, getting puppy pads, and we even thought about a puppy litter box. But nothing would work. So we though if we could find her a nice home, it would be better for everyone. So we had some friends ask around for us. Then one day we were talking about how 3 ferrets is way too many. We can’t even play with them for very long periods. So we tossed the idea of getting rid of Luda and the new ferret around. So after about 2 weeks of having people ask around. We finally found some homes for some of them. So, we found our outside cat October a nice home on a farm where she‘ll be the only animal there. We found a great place for Luda and our new ferret. The guy said that he had ferrets in the past and knew a lot about them. So that was cool. And we also found Ginger a home with a couple that didn’t have any animals. Hopefully they’ll be able to potty train her. So now that leaves us with Milla (our German Shepherd), our cats (Zoe, Mischa, and Oona), Hollis (our hamster), and John Rambo (our gerbil). Oh, stupid me for forgetting. Our other finch died. No clue why. He just kicked the bucket one day. And a while after that we seen a couple love birds that looked pretty cute. LaVaughn really wanted them. But we backed off at first. Then like a week later the same love birds were still there. So after we talked ourselves into it, we decided to get them. They are so cute but still a little on the unsocial side right now. And I think that concludes all of our animal news.

Oh yea. LaVaughn took her eyebrow ring out and I took my left lip ring out. We were just sitting there one day talking about how more that one piercing on the face is a little too much. For us anyway. And I must say, it does feel loads better.

Hmm, what else? Well we’ve bought loads of new movies since the last time we’ve blogged. We really buy a lot from amazon.com anymore. But man, you can find DVDs so cheap there. And extremely rare. Like for example, Evil Toons. A really old comedy/horror movie of the early 90s. It was a bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it.

Oh yea. We seen The Last House on the Left. The opening night. Well it was more like day. But we got to see the very first showing. It was cool. There were only two other girls in there with us. Weird huh? But anyway, the movie was awesome. With a well assembled cast, great plot and an awesome director. This makes for a great movie. So the next chance you get, please go see this movie. If not for yourself, for me.

Man, I know there has to be more, but I just can’t think of it right now. Well, if I think of anything else, I’ll just blog about it later. So until next time, keen on rockin’.

Song of the day: Something in the Air by Thunderclap Newman

Finally, some pictures...

Hey Japanese (said with a voice like the butcher in Hannibal Rising)! Ah, good times, good times. For those of you who haven’t seen Hannibal Rising, there’s this butcher on there yelling, “Hey Japanese!” at this lady. He says it really weird so we like say it all the time. I know I said I’d add some pictures like a week ago, but I’ve been really busy. So, that’s mostly what this post is going to be about. These pictures were taken between 9-1-08 to 9-29-08. So pretty much the month of September, lol. Thus explaining why there are so many. I had more but didn’t feel like uploading all of them. So, here you go. Hope everyone enjoys them. Until next time, peace out! - Megan

Jake's lunch card. He looks like a Motley Crue Reject, lol.
LaVaughn holding Ben and Luda.
An Update on John Rambo's darker colors. He's very attractive.
An awesome purple flower by a mail box.
Very bright yellow flower.
I have now idea what kind of flower this is, but it's very cute.
I think this is called a cat tail? Not too sure though.

More pretty little flowers.

This was down an old road. I thought it had potential.

This is one of my fave pics that LaVaughn had taken that day. Very pretty.

A very pretty eyed picture.

Carly takes gorgeous pictures.

A crazy eyed picture of Ginger.

Love the lighting in this picture. It really brings out her model like features, lol.

Another great one.

Some little red berries on a tree in our yard. Not sure what kind of tree though...

A pretty cool picture that I didn't mean to take.

Another great picture of Carly.

Fletcher is such a ham. He loves to have his picture taken. Good thing he takes great ones.

Another good one.

Luda looking crazy.

Ben looking crazy.

It kind of looks like she's flying in this picture.

He looks so evil sometimes. But he's still sexy, lol.

Aw, this one is so cute.

So is this one.

I love this picture of her. She looks so cute.
