Finally...

To much surprise, our fleece from Joann.com showed up today! I honestly thought it was lost forever. It's amazing, no matter how many times we order fleece, I'm always just as excited to tear the box open and look at it. This fleece happens to be very beautiful. It's not for anyway, so it's patterns that we picked out ourselves. Must refrain from keeping it!

These joeys of Kira's are just the cutest little things ever! They're starting to open their eyes now -- Nala actually has both of her open -- so they're really starting to look like little gliders now. I hold them on a nightly basis and take pictures of them almost as much. Little boy blue likes to sleep in some very odd ways, which you'll see below. I need to take some proper photos of them soon. Pictures of them being held are cute, but it doesn't show off how beautiful they actually are.

In completely random news... I found 2 beyond adorable crested ducklings on Craigslist yesterday. The chick was wanting $35 for both of them with all their things. I sent her an email and asked how much for just the ducks. She replied with a very cold, "$20." I then proceeded to ask her if she would take any less. Again, her simple response, "Nope." The "nope" kind of pissed me off, so I didn't respond. It's just too expensive to pay $10 per duckling! I mean, I really want a crested duck, but I can hold off for a cheaper one.

Speaking of ducks, we're going to intro the Welshies to a bathtub full of water tomorrow. I can't wait! They flip out over a small bowl of water, so I can only imagine how they're going to react to a full body of water. Can't wait!

I really do apologize if my blogs have been terribly boring for the past couple days. I get bored writing them, so I can only imagine how readers feel! I'll try to make them a tad more entertaining next time. ;)

Love & Peace

Oh, woe is me...

I know I didn't mention this last month when the event actually took place - I guess I was too pissed to write about it. When LaVaughn and I were cleaning the gliders' cages, Chloe and Violet's cage fell off the back of the truck and busted! Yes, busted!! It was one of the HQ cages, so it has no give at all.

In tears, LaVaughn and I picked up the pieces and proceeded to put the girls in our much smaller, hospital cage. I'm sure you're saying, "Why not just buy a new one?" well, these cages don't come cheap! The cheapest you can find online is $150. It's a good price, considering the cages last forever, but when you don't have the money to just blow on a cage - you're pretty much screwed.

That leads is to today. I saw a cage on Craigslist a couple days ago that looked fairly nice. It was white -- which I hated -- and even had a stand! She also lived close to me in Ellington, which is only about a 30-40 minutes drive. Unfortunately, I didn't see the price tag unit after I emailed her and noticed that she wanted $75 for it. You can find that exact cage on ebay for $70, so I knew that if I couldn't talk her down, I wasn't buying.

I sent her a message, which she replied to saying, "Yes, it's still available!" and before I could even ask about lowering the price, she said, "I'd also be interested in trading for dog grooming items, cat items or an iPad." I was kind of shocked to hear her say cat items, so I immediately thought of the cat trees we had in the garage. I cleaned them up, took photos of them and sent them to her. It took her a couple days to respond after that, but she said she loved them and would do the trade!

Time to shorten the story up a bit... we drove to her house -- which was in the middle of nowhere, down a county road, by a cemetery and down another gravel road -- and picked it up. She and her husband were super nice and even found a rope for us to tie the trunk down. The cage was WAY too big to fit in the backseat or the trunk, so fun!

It's sitting in the garage at the moment, waiting to be cleaned up and washed. We'll know more about it's condition when we give it a deep clean.

In other, less exciting new... the HDMI cord that I ordered finally arrived today! We bought one when we got our flat screen year before last and paid an unimaginable $20 for it. The past few months, it's started to short out. I found one on ebay for $1.50 the other night and couldn't pass that up. I'm SO pissed that we paid $20 for one when we could have got it for a fraction of that price. Hopefully this one lasts longer.

I suppose I'll end this with some adorable pictures of Lilah, the cutest sugar glider joey in the world!

Guess what we got?

A ferret! I know, I know, we've already had three in the past and ended up giving them to relatives, but we wanted one. We had been talking about it more and more the past couple weeks and finally found one on craigslist in Bonne Terre (only about an hour or so away). His name is, Robbie, and he is SO cute and SO sweet. He does seem a little shy, it's almost like he was abused, but who knows. I'm sure he will come around in no time.

That's pretty much all I had to say. We're going to let him explore the house now...

Here are some pics:

Look at that cute profile shot.

This is SO cute, too bad it's blurry.

 This is probably my favorite.

Please excuse the soda box, but his hammock was WAY too disgusting to leave in there. And... it was ripped!

Here's the cage he came with. All in all, pretty nice. Although, it was missing a few parts. Like ALL 3 ramps and the clamps! Annoying...

But luckily, I found an old (but never used) hammock.

Yes, it's pink, but he doesn't seem to mind. We already ordered him LOADS of stuff from ferret.com. I can't wait to get it all!

Just look at that cute little face.

And yet another cute one.

Oh what a day...

Oh what a day indeed. It went from good to sucky to great all in 6 hours. Do you think you can handle it? If so, then read on...

Well we got up today all bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to go. So, after we showered and got everything ready, we left. And since we had to go a town or two over, we had to leave at around 3:00. So, we got there at like 3:40. We sat there and talked for about 10 minutes and then my phone started ringing. It was the gus dad. And what did he have to say? well, he said that he was hung up at work and that he wouldn't be there until around 6:00 or after. He asked if that was ok, and of course, I said yea. So then we waited. It got so boring sitting in the car. So a little before 5:00, we decided to go grocery shopping. We walked around in the store for over 30 minutes and then right before we left, my phone started ringing again. It was the guys dad, again. He was asking how big the cage was and all that good stuff. I guess he was wondering if it would fit in his car. So, by the end of the call he told me that he would just bring a bigger car or whatever. So we though that he would be on his way after he hung up, but oh no. After we got out to the car an parked at our "meeting area", my phone started ringing again! Accept this time, it was a completely different guy. He was saying that he was a friend of the guys dad and that he would be picking the cage up instead. Then he was saying that he would be driving a tan van and that he would be there in 45 MINUTES! We were getting to pissed. But we kept our cool and was super nice about it. So then we waited. The 45 minutes passed fairly quick, but the 10 minutes passed that didn't. I was so mad. Then my stupid phone started ringing again! And of course, it was the guy agin. And this time, he said that they were on their way and it would be about 10 minutes. Oh yea, they changed their ride from a tan van to a black Liberty. They could've been riding a freakin horse for all I cared. I just wanted them to come and get the damn cage. Well finally, he showed up. We were both so releived. We were gone as soon as he handed us the money. It was a horrible experience that hopefully never happens again. But, the whole experience did have some upsides. Well first, we got to take some really great pictures and second, we got to see loads of awesome bikers! And to whom do we owe this pleasure? To the great people behind the 69th annual sturgis rally. Every year around this time you start seeing loads and loads of bikers. It's one of my favorite times of the year. Anyway, I think that about sums it up...

In other news, when we got home tonight we noticed that our glider lady had emailed us saying that she had taken a bunch of picture of our gliders for us and that she would send them to us tonight. So we had to wait. Then finally, we got the pictures. We were so excited. And oh man are they cute. I love them so, so much. I can't wait to hold them. I could go on for hours saying how cute they and how much I love them, but I'm going to stop here...

Well, I hope you enjoyed our day as much as we did. Until next time...

Song of the day: Free Fallin by Tom Petty

This is probably my favorite picture of the day. I love the way this turned out. So pretty.

This is one of the many beautiful pictures that we got of her today.

So cute. I love that she's looking at the camera.

This was our dash dancer that we had, but the stupid thing wouldn't stay on the dash so LaVaughn decided to rip her in half. It was a pretty entertaining process to watch.

This is it's bottom half.

And then there was one. This is now all that's left of our dash dancer.
LaVaughn got this awesome picture of Milla with her leg up on the arm rest. It was so cute.

Another one of her.
This was one that I took. Not only did I get her foot, but I got her sexy face looking at me. It was a win-win.

And the final shot...

This sexy little thing belongs to me. Right now her name is Falon and she is 100% leu het.

Another adorable picture of her.

You can see how radient her tail is in this one.

So cute.

I love her colors. She's is so light and fluffy looking. Can't wait to hold her.

This little beauty belong to LaVaughn. Right now her name is Pearl and she is a black beauty.

Aww, she looks so scared in this one.
Oh man, she is SO cute!

This is like one of my faves of her.

This is a younger one of her. She was still so cute...
