Monday, Monday...

So, today was the big day that we got to meet up with Doug and Kyan in Festus. Only downside is it was only I that got to see them. We got there 30 minutes early and, like clockwork, they were running behind. We spent 30 minutes or so walking around Joann's and admiring their amazing sale on no sew fleece throw -- 50% off!

If you're wondering, yes, we took advantage and spent more money than I care to admit.

Since we still had 45 minutes to spare before the boys arrived, we decided to head over to Walmart and do some shopping. We needed a few household items and some groceries, so we thought we could get that done before they even arrived. Well, since all the Christmas items were 50% off, that ended up occupying around 30 minutes of our time. It was no time before I got a message from Kyan telling me that they were at Joann's, waiting.

Since we had a cart full of stuff and weren't even in the market side, LaVaughn decided to stay with the cart and I would run over and meet the boys to deliver the girls. Not sure if you read my previous blog, but that's what today's meeting was all about -- Kyan is shipping two gliders for us Wednesday.

Anyways, I jetted over to Joann's, met up with the boys, walked around in there for 15 minutes while Kyan picked out fleece, went outside and talked for another 10 minutes, then sat in the back of their car and talked for an additional 30 minutes. I knew LaVaughn was probably steaming by then, so I quickly wrapped up our meeting and went back to the store.

It sucked to only get to see them for an hour -- I miss them so, so much. I'm hoping and praying Doug does get every Monday off soon. I have most Mondays off, so that would be a perfect day to meet up.

We quickly wrapped things up at Walmart and came home, which is where we are now. I'm exhausted and barely had the energy to feed the gliders, let alone myself. Now I need to rest and watch some Netflix, because we'll be back at it again tomorrow...

Gorgeous drive there.

Another down...

Just do I don't lose track of where I'm at, I'm posting a cage set that I sewed today. You don't need to understand why I'm posting this, I'm really only posting it as a marker. :)

Sugar Glider Cage Sets

The market for cage sets must be down as well because I'm not getting as much attention to my cage sets as I'm used to. I think it may be the fleece I'm using, or maybe it's because the sets are $55 and no one wants to pay that much at the moment. I think I need to order some more throws from Joann's and do the $40 sets for a while. Maybe that will appeal to more people.

Anyways, here's a set that I sewed today if anyone is interested in seeing it.

Here's the beautiful 8 piece fleece sugar glider cage set I made.

What I'm up to...

My blogs have been few and far between lately and I apologize. I'm not joking at all when I say this -- after the ordeal with Zoe, I haven't wanted to do anything that I used to do. Nothing else mattered, only her and her health. And just when I thought things would settle down some, Pip died, then Sadie. It's been non-stop for a while and I basically didn't have the energy for anything.

I've gotten extremely lazy. For example, I've sewn TWO cage sets since May.. TWO! That's so unreal and sickens me.

I'm trying to get back into my old groove, but it's not working out well. Blogging has very slowly gotten better over the last month, but barely! I usually post blogs 3 weeks later than what they should be and just back-date. Sewing is also terrible. I just do not want to sew anymore. I don't know why, but I just don't. I'm trying to rejuvenate my passion by ordering new fleece, which I did a couple days ago. Since Hancock went out of business I've had to resort to Fabric.com for all of my fleece needs. They never have any type of coupons or promotions, just free shipping when you spend $50 or more. I ordered 18 yards of fleece last week for just over $100, which wasn't too bad. All of that arrived Monday, but I didn't get around to sewing any of it this week. I have to work the next 3 days, so I definitely wont be sewing then.

Speaking of work, it's about the same. Nothing new or exciting, just the same old meth heads and late season campers that travel to Sam A. Baker state part. Do you have any idea how tiring it is to tell people how to get there? And 9 times out of 10 they come from the direction of the part. The road goes straight through it, I have absolutely no idea how they miss it!

Oh, I've completely given up on project 365 this year. I was trying to take a picture with my camera every day, but after a while I was taking pictures of the most ignorant stuff. I finally called it quits a few weeks ago. I have still been taking pictures of my phone practically every day, but I'm not planing on doing a project 365. It's just one less thing to have to worry about doing and it's honestly a big relief.

Lets see, what else has been going on... We've watched so many new movies lately, I can't even begin to name them all. We've also started watching Hemlock Grove (which is awesome) and catching up on Once Upon A Time, which is amazing. I wish I could think of everything we've watched lately, but I can't. I list all of the movies we've been watching on The Spoiling Dead Forum HERE for those that are interested. You'll just have to skim through them to find my posts.

Speaking of, I've become quite the active TSDF member since March. I love it there. They're normal, not PG like Glider Central was and they talk about what I love most, The Walking Dead! But there's so much more to that forum than TWD and spoilers, we talk about any and everything! And they're so much more understanding than most people, I love it.

I know, I'm a forum nerd.

I can't really think of anything else, so I guess I'm going to go. Until next time...

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood... Part 2

So the weather was extremely beautiful today, as well as the lighting. I had to take advantage and break the camera out for a little while. It was a tad on the windy side, so I didn't get the best pictures in the world, but I did get some, which is okay by me.

I also got some updated pictures of Nubbins, which I'm super happy about because I just took new ones last Thursday, so I'm doing good.

In cat news, LaVaughn has to take Jasper to the vet tomorrow while I'm at work. His belly is super swollen and doesn't appear to be going down. There could be a number of things wrong with him, but we're thinking worms. I hate that I can't go with them, but I can't really ask off because I'm one of 4 people that work there, which sucks.

I guess that's all for now. Mainly a picture post, so I'll leave it at that. Until next time...

Here are all the pics from today -- not labeling anything, so you'll have to figure it out on your own:

I see the light coming through my window...

After I finished sewing up a cage set (and cutting some out, bleh) I decided to take some pictures of Nubbins -- the rarely seen or talked about 3-legged joey.

I'll start by saying that he is doing super well. He's getting big, he's gorgeous, and he's pretty damn sweet. He can be crabby at times, but that's just because he's a tad pouch protective, but nothing serious. He also hasn't ventured outside his pouch yet, which is starting to worry me. He's surpassed the curiosity stage and should be venturing outside the pouch already.

He's having to learn everything in a completely different way from all of our other joeys, so I guess he just needs time to adapt.

Like I said, he's super sweet, gorgeous, and healthy -- can't really ask for more than that. And the pictures I got of him today are 50 shades of adorable! Some of my absolute favorites so far.

I guess that's all for now. Until next time...

Love & Peace
