What I'm up to...

My blogs have been few and far between lately and I apologize. I'm not joking at all when I say this -- after the ordeal with Zoe, I haven't wanted to do anything that I used to do. Nothing else mattered, only her and her health. And just when I thought things would settle down some, Pip died, then Sadie. It's been non-stop for a while and I basically didn't have the energy for anything.

I've gotten extremely lazy. For example, I've sewn TWO cage sets since May.. TWO! That's so unreal and sickens me.

I'm trying to get back into my old groove, but it's not working out well. Blogging has very slowly gotten better over the last month, but barely! I usually post blogs 3 weeks later than what they should be and just back-date. Sewing is also terrible. I just do not want to sew anymore. I don't know why, but I just don't. I'm trying to rejuvenate my passion by ordering new fleece, which I did a couple days ago. Since Hancock went out of business I've had to resort to Fabric.com for all of my fleece needs. They never have any type of coupons or promotions, just free shipping when you spend $50 or more. I ordered 18 yards of fleece last week for just over $100, which wasn't too bad. All of that arrived Monday, but I didn't get around to sewing any of it this week. I have to work the next 3 days, so I definitely wont be sewing then.

Speaking of work, it's about the same. Nothing new or exciting, just the same old meth heads and late season campers that travel to Sam A. Baker state part. Do you have any idea how tiring it is to tell people how to get there? And 9 times out of 10 they come from the direction of the part. The road goes straight through it, I have absolutely no idea how they miss it!

Oh, I've completely given up on project 365 this year. I was trying to take a picture with my camera every day, but after a while I was taking pictures of the most ignorant stuff. I finally called it quits a few weeks ago. I have still been taking pictures of my phone practically every day, but I'm not planing on doing a project 365. It's just one less thing to have to worry about doing and it's honestly a big relief.

Lets see, what else has been going on... We've watched so many new movies lately, I can't even begin to name them all. We've also started watching Hemlock Grove (which is awesome) and catching up on Once Upon A Time, which is amazing. I wish I could think of everything we've watched lately, but I can't. I list all of the movies we've been watching on The Spoiling Dead Forum HERE for those that are interested. You'll just have to skim through them to find my posts.

Speaking of, I've become quite the active TSDF member since March. I love it there. They're normal, not PG like Glider Central was and they talk about what I love most, The Walking Dead! But there's so much more to that forum than TWD and spoilers, we talk about any and everything! And they're so much more understanding than most people, I love it.

I know, I'm a forum nerd.

I can't really think of anything else, so I guess I'm going to go. Until next time...

And we're off!

I'm really, honestly trying to stay up to date on this blog, but it's hard. It's especially hard when I don't really have anything exciting to blog about, so what's the point of blogging about nothing?

This will probably be my only blog this week, as LaVaughn and I are leaving for Cape tody. We won't be home until late tomorrow evening, then I have to work the rest of the weekend. So it'll be some time next week, as long as nothing comes up.

Here's to more blogging! Fingers crossed I can stick with it this time...

Possible hiatus...

My aunt is getting released from the hospital today -- yay! She only had to stay 4 days, which was 4 days too long, but the drain in her back just kept draining, which was the main factor that played into her release.

Her release is what lead me to my potential hiatus. She's going to need a lot of help for the next couple weeks. She wont be able to take care of her three dogs, shower alone, cook dinner, clean, or do basically anything except lie down and sit. That's where we come in. Not to mention, I'm going to be returning to work Tuesday. That on top of everything else isn't going to leave any spare time. So, like I said, it mat be a while before my next blog.

I'm saying this now, but knowing me it'll make me blog MORE!

I got out the old picture bag last night and took a trip down memory lane. These are pictures that were taken before my digital camera days -- I'm talking pictures anywhere from 2000ish to 2004. Yeah, old! I mainly wanted to go through and find some old pictures of Zoe, which I did -- she used to be so skinny!

I did come across a picture of my cousin, Brandy, the one that passed away a few days ago. That was bittersweet, almost made me stop working altogether. Then I stopped and realized, maybe I was meant to see the picture, so I smiled and kept going.

Today is been another rainy, hot, and muggy day. I really wish it would either turn into summer or revert back to spring - I'm sick of the in between. I honestly can't really think of anything else that I would like to say, so I guess I'll leave it at that. I need to get started on my nightly chores anyways.  Until next time...

Of course, Milla observed me the entire time I looked through old pictures:

Ready for a stroll down memory lane?

This is Zoe and Princess (our very first inside cat!).

As you can see, they were super close.

The best of friends.

Notice how skinny Zoe used to be?

She was just under a year in these, though.

Can you believe these were from Feb. 2003? That's 12 years ago!!

This is another cat of ours that passed away. Her name was Lizzy and she was a polydactyly.

This is another girl we used to have, Chloe.

More Princess and Zoe.

They were inseparable -- I really miss this.

Hiatus...

I really, honestly have way too much on my plate at the moment. My mom is out of the hospital now and is staying with me, so I rarely have time to do anything. She can take care of herself for the most part, but there are still some things she can't do on her own.

I even had to find someone to cover my shift at work today so that I could stay home with her.

Between taking care of the yard birds, the cats, the dog, the gliders, the rats, my mom, everyday house chores -- it's just too much. Not to mention, what free time I DO have will be spend either playing The Sims 4 (yes, we got it today) or working on Laci's rather large cage set order. So blogging is going to take the back burner for at least a few days. I probably wont blog anymore until Sunday or Monday, give or take.

The only reason I say I'll blog then is because that's when our big Glider Gal's dinner is. We're meeting up with Cindy, Taylor, Stephanie, Sara, Christina, and Kyan and Doug earlier that day. I just hope everything goes as planned.

We're also getting Perla that day, our little leu girl we're getting from Cindy. She's going to live with the trio. I'm SO excited! Plus, Cindy will get to see her little girl, Petra. Not to mention, Stephanie will get to meet her little girl, Harper. Not sure if I've even mention that she's getting Harper, but she is.

So, I guess that's all for now. If for some reason I change my mind and blog, then I'll be completely shocked, but you just never know about me.

Love & Peace

Somewhere over the rainbow...

I wonder how many lameos use that as a blog title? I've browsed through my fair share of blogs, and I can tell you from personal experience, 97% of them are a cliche. They have these typical little housewife names like, Love Is In The Air, Hello Happiness, My Crazy Perfect Life, and the obvious, Somewhere Over The Rainbow. What happened to originality?

I feel like today is my first day off since November! Even though I hardly worked 5 hours yesterday, it feels like I've worked for a week straight. I am happy that I have today off, though. It makes up for so much.

I decided to seize the day and (finally) take pictures of the joeys, which is long overdue. I tried to do tree shots of everyone, but it was so insanely windy, I had to do half of them just in mine and LaVaughn's hands. They all still turned out pretty good, of course, the joeys themselves are to die for! I don't know what it is about this group of joeys, but there's something special about each and every one of them.

Oh, speaking of joeys! LaVaughn and I got an awesome look at Kira's two new joeys! And guess what... they're both mosaics!! One has a very nice sized pink tip on it's tail and the other appears to have a solid pink tail! Now mind you, these joeys still have some 'cooking' to do, so there's a good chance the pink tail will color up, but there's also a chance it wont. I can't wait to see what they have, but I can never wait to see what those two have.

I guess that's all I have to say right now. Be sure to check out the awesome pictures below!

Love & Peace

Here are Kira's joey's gorgeous tails:

This is the one that we think will be all white.

And that's the nice sized white tip.

Random Easter Lilies that LaVaughn captured:

 Neal's photoshoot:

Is that not the sweetest sugar glider face ever?

I love his little expression here.

This is just the cutest picture of him ever!

Fiona's photoshoot:

She is such a gorgeous, gorgeous girl.

Just look at those markings!

Her facial markings are just to die for.

Cutest mosaic sugar glider girl in the world!

Declan's photoshoot:

He was not enjoying the wind, poor little guy.

Such a pretty tail.

And his little trimmed ears are just the cutest.

Anyone else agree that he should stay here?

Now for random yard flowers and our waterfall:
