Oh so lonesome for you...

My aunt went to Perryville today to stay the night with Ty for my mom's hearing in the morning. It's lonely down here in our neck of the woods because of that. I didn't even get a chance to sew today, which is weird -- I've been sewing every single day for a week it seems. I am getting ready to cut some stuff out, so that works.

I made up 3 batches of HPW a little while ago, that should last every bit of 2 weeks. It's amazing how much of that we go through anymore, but we are feeding 20 gliders now, so it's understandable. I'd still like to try the GOHPW once. The next time we go to Fredericktown I'm getting some and I'm going to try it. Well, the gliders will.

Did I mention in my last blog that we rescued a lizard? Well if I didn't, now you know. We released the little guy earlier today while the cats were eating. He was super happy to be free -- I don't believe he hesitated once! He was so cute, makes me want a pet lizard...

Well I guess that's all for now. I really want to start cutting out some cage sets, so I guess I'll call it a day. Until next time...

Love & Peace

Post Friday The 13th Hype...

I was going to blog yesterday, but I was busy working and making deals, so I decided against it. Besides, I imagine hundreds of people blogged yesterday due to the popularity of Friday The 13th. There are people that are terrified of the day and there are people that say it's a day of good luck. Personally I feel it can go either way, just like any other day of the year. I know I've said this before, but I took my drivers exam (and passed) and got my license on Friday the 13th in the month of October. So for me, good luck, but I didn't base it on the fact.

Anyways, I sewed the owl set that I cut Thursday night yesterday and thankfully sold it! The lady that keeps us in cage set business, Laci, wants one of out of that fleece now, as well as another lady that wants the exact same set! Looks like we'll be picking up for of that fleece Monday! I'm in NO way complaining, that was a $50 set and I am more than happy to make another!

I love vending. Now that I can make the Glider Bucket on my own, I can sew every day if I want, even if LaVaughn isn't up for it -- which she rarely is anymore. You suck LaVaughn do you hear that! Haha!

Speaking of cage sets, a lady that I talked to earlier this week messaged me last night and said that she wants to buy a cage set now. She sent the money for it today, so I started working on it as soon as I got up. I only cut it out, I plan on sewing it tomorrow. I also cut out an extra one, just in case.

I've been stressing about the money we've spent on fleece lately, but luckily I've sold a couple cage sets and Brittany did just pay $20 for the lime green chain that we bought earlier this year from Cindy in the co-op -- still not sure why I agreed to that. SO stupid! We still have to buy solids for all the fleece we get from Gini, all of which I hope we can get at Joann's on Black Friday.

Speaking of Black Friday, Walmart released their Black Friday ad today! OMG, I'm SO excited!!! We're not going all out this year on electronics for everyone, we're also keeping the number of gifts to a minimum. That's beside the point.. There are SO many things I want! The majority of them being movies, games, and TV shows. There's also an awesome deal on a wax warmer, a couple things for my aunt, night pants for us, and a couple other things for other people.

Thankfully it starts at 6PM again. I cannot wait!

LaVaughn and I actually just got back from Walmart. She picked up a couple things (eyeliner and some type of hair chemical) and I picked up a couple things. I, too, got eyeliner and some hair products. Well one thing, I got Dove Quench. I hope it helps tame my frizzy hair. I looooove Dove products, it's my absolute favorite line of hair care products. I'll put it to the test tomorrow.

Lets see, have I covered everything that I needed to talk about? I probably wont be blogging tomorrow. I'm sewing when I get up, plus I'm going to finish trimming the gliders nails, clean the rat cage, vacuum, shower and go to church with my aunt because she just loves to go anymore. The Walking Dead is also on tomorrow, so there will be no blogging before or after that. I'm praying that we get a glimpse of Glenn tomorrow, or maybe just a little shred of hope that he's alive!

Oh, now I remember! I bid on Vol 1-3 of The Walking Dead comics and won! I'm SO excited! While we were on our way to town I also got the notification that the two that dickweed chewed up sold, double yay! I only lost out on a $1 and the shipping cost of the comics, so it's not all bad I suppose. Okay, I need to quite. Until next time...

Love & Peace

Haha, just posted this on my aunt's Facebook. She's gonna die!

Lets kick of Christmas Shopping 2015!

LaVaughn and I went on our first official Christmas shopping outing earlier today. No place special, just Fredericktown. We were going to go to Poplat Bluff, but ended up going with Fredericktown because we needed to pick up Pip's meds from the vet -- his teeth are in bad shape again.

We went by the vet first and got those, then headed to Walmart were we each got some of the CUTEST sweaters! LaVaughn totally snatched a hoodie that I wanted, but it wasn't in my size, so whatever. I realized what a terrible nerd I am today. Not only did I get some Avengers night pants, but I got a Jurassic Park shirt as well. So incredibly lame, I know. Those are gifts to each other, though, so no sharing pics or wearing until Christmas Eve, unfortunately.

We tried to look around for things for everyone else -- what a task that was! I have NO idea what to get anyone! All the people we're buying for are older and not into the latest tech gear. So it's usually shirts, bath sets, and something random and lame. We already ordered a few things online, but it's nothing compared to what we need. I'm still holding out for some awesome Black Friday finds -- only 15 days away!!

We stopped an grabbed some food after our excursion, then headed home.

Now, lets talk fleece! Out of all the fleece that we've had hoarded in the garage for months, we only have two separate sets left to sew! And to my surprise, no one is interested in them! Since today is Veterans Day, there have been all kinds of sales going on all week, including sales at Joann's. We've been hoarding 5 separate throws and 4 additional yards of lime green fleece for days now. Well last night I finally took the plunge and bought it! It was a pretty penny, but we should (hopefully) make it back out of just two sets.

Not an hour after the fleece from Joann's was bought and paid for, some lady tagged me in a post on Facebook about a fellow vendor selling ALL of her fleece! LaVaughn and I went nuts! We picked out two prints off the bat, then about 15 minutes later I found another that I wanted. After an hour passed, she posted a picture of the remaining fleece. Come to find out she had TWO more prints that we wanted! It was hard to pass up, especially considering she was selling everything at $2 a yard -- come on!

Our grand total came to... gulp, $52! That was the price shipped for nearly 14 yards of fleece. Not too bad I don't suppose, but damn! I'm selling 84 ft of lime green chain to Brittany for $20, so we only need to make $32 out of the fleece to pay for it. A lady that ordered a set from us last week messaged me last night and said that she wanted a set out of some of the fleece we got -- lets just hope she still wants it when it gets here!

So we should be rolling in the fleece in a week or so, I'm excited. There's also a really adorable fleece pattern at our local Walmart (yes they have fabric again) that I want to get. It's yellow and grey owls -- so adorable!

Well I guess I've rambled enough for now. It's time for coffee and Chicago PD!

Love & Peace

This is all the fleece we're getting from Gini. Amazing, isn't it? I'll post the stuff we got from Joann's when it arrives.
