Weekly iPhone Roundup {1.14 - 1.20}

This Sims 4 is still taking over the majority of my life. When I'm not working or sleeping, I'm playing The Sims. It's an addiction at the moment and leads me to live a rather boring life. I mean, even if I wasn't playing at the moment, I wouldn't be doing anything worth blogging about. It's far too cold and drab to take any photos. I don't like being repetitive about what I post, which is why I don't go out and take the same pictures over and over again.

With that being said, here are some pictures from my phone this week. Enjoy!

Beautiful sunset in Perryville Saturday night.

One of the prettiest of the year so far.

Still obsessed with the beautiful sunset in my mirror.

I went to McDonald's Saturday night for a coffee and pulled behind an SUV with this AMAZING Umbrella Corporation decal on the back of their car. Literally obsessed!

My purple orchid that I've been nursing back to health for months.

The Last Of Us premiered on HBO over the weekend and it's literally giving me life!. I don't know how many times my eyes were watering due to the excitement!

I'm also still obsessed with Little Nightmares 2 when I'm not playing The Sims.

Probably my biggest Sims 4 fail - this broad returned home from working with $2. Um, excuse me?

Weekly iPhone Roundup {1.7 - 1.13}

This is probably my worst roundup post yet. I only took pictures of my mom's dog, Hyde, while we were in Perryville and literally only took two pictures of homemade coffee this week. Damn... I think I need to give The Sims a break for a while.

I think this is something that applies to all simmers. Unless, of course, you're a YouTuber that releases only Sims content, then I get why it's a daily thing for you. For the other 97% of simmers out there, myself included, playing The Sims is something that comes in waves. It's not like other games, you're either in the mood to play or not, there's no in-between.

Right now, for example, I'm super into playing and literally only think about playing. In another week or two I'll probably be disgusted by the thought of playing and wont play for months at a time. No joke. I mean, if The Sims team would happen to release some amazing content in-between my urges to play, then I would probably play. It would have to be something monumental like Medieval gameplay or new ages.

Anyways, done with my Sims ranting, here are the pics from the past week:

Hyde, my moms chihuahua, helping me drive. I was actually at a stop sign, though.

He has the cutest little chiweenie face ever!

He looks like a Simpson character here.

Sitting on my guts waiting at Sonic.

His face is so stinking cute. I also don't know if he's a chiweenie or not, but he looks like it.

Waiting on the Sonic delivery.

First time making cold foam coffee. This was the Starbucks cold foam copycat recipe.

It's just 3 tablespoons of heavy cream, 2 tablespoons of 2% milk & 1 tablespoon of vanilla syrup. Then you mix them everything together with a wish and then blend with a little mixer that they sell on Amazon specifically for foaming or whipping milk.

Weekly iPhone Roundup - New Year Edition {12.31 - 1.6}

So I'm completely aware that my blogging has almost completely halted lately. I mean, the holidays played a big part in that, but I've also been playing The Sims ALL week long. When I'm not playing that, I'm playing Astro's Playroom, which I've been obsessed with since like Christmas. You wouldn't think something so simple could be so fun, but it really is a blast. I think the main reason is because you don't have to think too hard about what you're doing, lol. It's just like a simple arcade game that you don't have to get set up for, like The Last Of Us. So yeah, I've been hella preoccupied lately.

I'm not going to get into New Years Eve or day, some really uncomfortable things happened and I don't want to talk about it.

Since I've been going at The Sims so hard, I haven't really done anything else. Quite literally if I'm being honest - I become very lazy when I'm in a Sims kick.

With that being said, here are the very few pictures that I've taken on my phone this week:

My moms youngest chihuahua, Hyde. He's obsessed with us.

It was a Pizza Hut kinda night for my little brother.

First picture of the New Year. This is actually a bag I got from Thiland, it's a boho style and I'm literally obsessed with it.

The fog was unreal Sunday.

I don't think a foggy start to the New Year is a good thing, but I could be wrong.

The egg prices in Rozier's in Perryville were insane! $6.75 is just too much.

These eggs were even more expensive.

These are the most expensive at almost $7 a dozen.

This is the "cheaper" option of eggs.

More nasty fog.

The fog was unreal Monday. It was much worse than this pictures depicts.

You could only see like 15 feet in front of the car.

Boiling lemons to drink the water because everyone in Perryville is sick.

Sugar glider penis issues...

I know, not the most appealing title, but it's basically what we've been dealing with all day. LaVaughn and I heard distressed crabbing coming from Chloe and Boone's cage today, so we immediately checked it out. This was at 9 AM, mind you, we were both still sound asleep at this time. When we got there, LaVaughn saw that Chloe was chasing Norman around tugging on his penis. I kid you not, she was pulling and biting with all her might!

We got him out of the cage as quick as we could and put him in a cage by himself.

I've been consulting with people that have extensive knowledge in this department and as of right now, a vet isn't necessary. If he's showing no signs of improvement by tomorrow, then we're going to the vet. Until then we're applying Vetericyn and Vaseline to keep his penis moist until it retracts. We've also applied Preparation H once, which is all we can do in a day.

I'll be so glad when the swelling goes down and we can put this behind us.

In other news, it's cold as hell outside and there's still snow on the ground from Tuesday nights mini snow storm. Jeez Tuesday was a nightmare. I had to work 1-7, but I knew I wouldn't be able to stay my entire shift, so I got someone to cover 4-7 for me. I'm so glad I did too, because it started sleeting right after I left.

And of all days, I get this notification in the car -- more like a warning -- saying that the left rear tire was flat. When I looked it said that it had 11 pounds in it! I quickly went to the nearest station and put 29ish pounds in it. I had to pay $1 for air, which sucked. I also couldn't figure out how to administer the air into the tire until I let ALL of the air out of the tire causing it to go completely flat. Luckily I got it aired up before my time ran out.

It started sleeting and freezing rain while I was squatted outside trying to get the air compressor to work. I still had to go to the store for a couple things, get gas, and go by Redbox to return Uncharted. It was a nightmare day. The roads kept getting worse and worse, but luckily they cleared up the closer I got to home.

What takes me 30-35 minutes to get home took me an hour that day.

I sewed a 9 piece cage set Wednesday, then played the sims for a while. I started obsessing over Norman as soon as I got up today, then cut out 2 cage sets that I can hopefully sew up tomorrow. I've been worrying about Norman and playing the sims the rest of the evening. Very boring stuff.

We have to go to town tomorrow and get some KY if Norman has shown signs of improvement. If not we'll be going to the vet.

Well I guess that's all for now. Hopefully tomorrow I have much better news to share. Until then...

Love & Peace

Death becomes her...

I have fallen very ill as of late due to this horrendous cold that I've had. I'm going on day 8 now, which is completely ridiculous. I know I shouldn't complain, considering it's just a cold, but "just" and "cold" shouldn't be applied together in this case.

Like I said in my last blog, my cold started on the first of the year -- I know, awesome way to spend the New Year. Things were worse Saturday, I was fatigued and my head felt swollen. Sunday I was super congested and couldn't seem to clear my throat. I started coughing Sunday night, which led to me having a sore throat. That persisted through Tuesday when I had to work -- I'll talk about running the entire shift on Tuesday in a minute -- leaving my throat sore and a terribly persistent cough that did allow me to raise my voice at all.

My sore throat started to diminish Tuesday night, but my congested was a strong as ever. My head and chest were unbelievably congested Wednesday and I had absolutely no sense of smell or taste at all that day. LaVaughn and I had to take Fletcher to the vet in Fredericktown that day, plus grocery shop, so you can imagine how fun that trip was. Wednesday night I coughed so terribly bad, but it was far worse Thursday. I woke up around 10:30 and stayed up coughing until a little before 12, I kid you not. I would cough terribly, then get relaxed enough to almost fall asleep, then I could cough again. It was murder!

Thursday evening I still couldn't really smell or taste much, but I did fell like 12.3% better, so I decided to clean the drop trays and rat cage, even though I didn't really want to. Just as things started to look up, I found myself favoring my right ear that night. This dull, achy feeling that I just couldn't shake. Friday my congestion seemed to have diminished by nearly 50%, as well as my cough by 60% or more. I still had that terrible dull pain in my ear that just wouldn't go away.

I woke up today feeling slightly better. My congestion is loads better. I still have a cough, though not as bad as before. The thing that's bothering me most is my ear. I can't get rid of the dull throb of pain. It's stemming all the way from my ear to my throat, but that was mostly yesterday and the day before. Today the pan is causing me to have sever tooth sensitivity and some pain, which sucks. I'm also talking extremely nasal, which sucks. I haven't been able to talk normal in days. It is better today, but not much.

I'm starting to feel better (knock wood) I think, but I don't want to get too optimistic and wake up sicker tomorrow. I've gone over a year without being sick, my body is definitely letting me know it. I know I shouldn't complain, there are people in FAR worse shape than me, so I honestly have no right whatsoever to bitch about something as minor as a cold. Still, it's uncomfortable and just not a fun experience.

I was supposed to work 2-10 today, but since we were supposed to get bad weather today I found someone to cover 7-10 for me. I guess everyone in Ironton had either froze to death or feared they would get caught in the non-existent blizzard, so they stayed home. This made labor bad and allowed me to leave just before 5. It's a loss in money, but I still don't feel like doing anything, so getting to come home was a godsend.

Speaking of work, I ran the store/shift Tuesday while all the managers were at a meeting. I'm not talking just watching someone's spot, I'm talking full on in charge! I had managers numbers, the key to the safe, everything! I got to run an entire crew of people for over 3 hours. Not bragging, but I did awesome. Times were down, the store was clean and well stocked, it was awesome.

I was very sick that day, which made the whole experience miserable for me, which sucks because I was really looking forward to it.

Aside from that nothing exciting has happened. I don't leave the house unless I absolutely have to. I stay inside and cough my way through bottles and bottles of Mucinex. LaVaughn and I have been playing the Sims off and on all week, which is fun. It would be more so if I wasn't... You guessed it, sick! Hopefully next week will be better. And have I mentioned that I don't have to work tomorrow? Yay!

I haven't really been able to enjoy the joeys either, which also sucks. They're so unbelievably cute and just awesome! Their eyes opened up a couple days ago, which is early for joeys. We've also decided to name them Jim and Dale. Some of you will get that. :)

Well I guess that's all for now. Hopefully I'm better next time and have something more exciting to wrote about...

Love & Peace
