Weekly iPhone Roundup - New Year Edition {12.31 - 1.6}

So I'm completely aware that my blogging has almost completely halted lately. I mean, the holidays played a big part in that, but I've also been playing The Sims ALL week long. When I'm not playing that, I'm playing Astro's Playroom, which I've been obsessed with since like Christmas. You wouldn't think something so simple could be so fun, but it really is a blast. I think the main reason is because you don't have to think too hard about what you're doing, lol. It's just like a simple arcade game that you don't have to get set up for, like The Last Of Us. So yeah, I've been hella preoccupied lately.

I'm not going to get into New Years Eve or day, some really uncomfortable things happened and I don't want to talk about it.

Since I've been going at The Sims so hard, I haven't really done anything else. Quite literally if I'm being honest - I become very lazy when I'm in a Sims kick.

With that being said, here are the very few pictures that I've taken on my phone this week:

My moms youngest chihuahua, Hyde. He's obsessed with us.

It was a Pizza Hut kinda night for my little brother.

First picture of the New Year. This is actually a bag I got from Thiland, it's a boho style and I'm literally obsessed with it.

The fog was unreal Sunday.

I don't think a foggy start to the New Year is a good thing, but I could be wrong.

The egg prices in Rozier's in Perryville were insane! $6.75 is just too much.

These eggs were even more expensive.

These are the most expensive at almost $7 a dozen.

This is the "cheaper" option of eggs.

More nasty fog.

The fog was unreal Monday. It was much worse than this pictures depicts.

You could only see like 15 feet in front of the car.

Boiling lemons to drink the water because everyone in Perryville is sick.

A day getaway to Cape Girardeau...

I don't think I've mentioned this, but LaVaughn has to see her pain management doctor tomorrow for her annual injection. Since her appointment is semi early this time, we decided to drive over to Cape a day early and spend the night in a hotel. We've been wanting to hit up the mall anyways, so this will allow for plenty of time to do so without having to rush around tomorrow.

We're staying at the same hotel we stayed at the last time we were in Cape - The Auburn Place Hotel and Suites. I love this hotel, it's so cozy and awesome. It's definitely not home, though. I miss our animals so much and we've only been gone like 3 hours!!

Right now I'm thinking of home, waiting on the pizza to be delivered, and anticipating going to the mall later. Should be an interesting night. Until next time...

Mount Pleasant welcomes you...

I'm sure it's easy to tell by the title that we made it, safe and sound to Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Wow, what a day! Considering we didn't leave the house until almost 3, I think we made pretty decent time up here. AND we even ran into rush hour traffic in Saint Louis. Surprisingly enough we didn't encounter any bumps in the road, just the terrible traffic and one car that had blown up -- on the road!

Unfortunately, our hotel room is a little sketchy. It's super small, everything is like right on top of everything! The floors are a tad on the sticky side, the parking lot is super sketchy, and there are crumbs behind my side of the table. By crumbs I mean literal crumbs and a dried french fry.

The beds are fairly comfortable, not too soft, which I love. They were generous with their small pillows -- we each got 4, but their blanket sucks. It's like a cross between a jean blanket and a hospital blanket. I'm now wishing we hadn't been so cheap and sprung another $20 on a better room. Oh well, you live and you learn. It's not like we'll be coming back to Iowa anytime soon, if ever.

Right now we're waiting on our Pizza Hut order to be completed. Did I mention that they're literally next door? Like next parking lot over close! Aside from that I'm just anticipating tomorrow. It's going to be a BIG day for everyone involved. Not only are my two best friends getting married, but I'm going to be photographing my first wedding! This is exciting stuff. Until then...

Love & Peace
