What's on my mind Wednesday...

I'm so exhausted right now. That's probably due to the fact that I just got back from Cape a little while ago. Aka; the worst drive in America! Short trips tire me, but that trip positively drains me! And the sad part, it's not even a complete 2 hour drive, depending on the day, of course. It doesn't help that I worked 8 hours on my feet yesterday, that's never a good contributing factor.

Anyways, I had to drive my aunt to her doctors appointment today, which is why I went in the first place. I was just thinking to myself today that I've driven to Cape more in the last year than I have in my entire life -- I used to live 30 minutes away when I was young! I went a lot, but not half as much as I do now. How sad is that?

On the bright side I did get to go shoe shopping. I've come to the conclusion that LaVaughn makes way too much fun of me when I'm trying to find a pair of shoes. If my foot even looks remotely goofy -- which it does a lot -- she loses it and walks away, all the while laughing and making me feel like a moron. Another conclusion that I've come to is that I take far too long picking out a pair of shoes. I used to think LaVaughn took forever, she ain't got nothing on me! Her 10 minutes is like 30 to me, it's kind of ironic.

Anyways, after we each found a pair of shoes we liked, we headed over to the mall in hopes of finding a pair of shoes that store didn't have. Well that was a total waste of time, the damn shoes they held for us didn't fit me anyways! Saying I was pissed is an understatement.

We headed back to the doctors office, picked up my aunt, then had dinner at Popeye's. It was the first time I had ever actually ate inside -- kind of freaked me out.

I'm not coping with the fact that Emilie is actually gone. I keep wanting to go check on her out of nowhere, call the boy Emilie, even go so far as to prepare her food. I haven't actually done that, but I've come close. We buried her by our other girls, next to where the peach tree used to be. It was a sad thing burying her, something I'll never get used to. I've been trying to compensate by playing with the boys more -- and the new joeys, they're definitely not hurting at all.

Speaking of, I'm worrying myself to death about them. Not HALF as bad as I was the last time around, I honestly thought I was going to have to take a xanax a couple times. So far (knock wood), these boys seem to be doing fairly well.

If all goes well this weekend, LaVaughn and I are going to see Jurassic World with Doug and Kyan in Farmington Sunday. Like 4 other people wanted off that day (because it's Father's day), so I don't know if I'll get off or not. If I don't, we'll just shoot for next weekend. It just needs to happen soon, I want to see it so badly!

Another thing I want to see if Game of Thrones!! I have all the episodes downloaded, but I just don't have the time to watch them. Tyler from work watched the entire season and said it's insane. I already know a main character gets killed (I'm thinking Jon?). Hopefully tonight and the rest of the week we can get caught up.

Orange Is The New Black has been occupying most of our movie/TV watching time, but for some reason the show is starting to creep me out. We've watched 5 episodes of the first season and I loved them, like really loved them! Now it's starting to get weird, not sure why, so don't ask. That'll probably take the back burner for a while.

In glider news, the OE pouch that Cindy gave us seems to be working! The girls have crabbed maybe twice since we swapped that with their old pouch. You have no idea how happy this makes me!

I guess I had better go. It's getting late and I need coffee.

Love & Peace

It's been so long...

It seems like we never go to Poplar Bluff anymore just for the heck of it. A lot of that could be due to the way we're sleeping. So yesterday, I ended up having to get up at like 3:00 pm and do something. I was done around 5 and thought I would wake LaVaughn up and see if she wanted to go see The Crazies. So naturally, she did. While she was getting ready, I looked up the showings. One was for 6:40 and the other was for 9:20. Of course, we wanted to see the late show, so we had plenty of time to hit PetsWay and Hasting's.

Well, we get to PetsWay at about 6:20 and end up staying until about 7:10 or so. During this time, we end up with a toy for Milla and... a dwarf rabbit. Well, not really, but almost. They had about 5 of them in the back where they used to keep the puppies. At the time, we're really digging the thought of have a rabbit again. So we go look at cages, food, ect. Then we actually get to talk to a so called worker (who doesn't know shit about animals) about the rabbit. And when he mutters the words, they get just as big as normal rabbits, we begin to back off. We decided to go ahead and leave cause the place was getting ready to close and creepier by the minute.

Then we get to Hasting's, our home away from home. The first thing we do is look at the sales that are going on. And to our surprise, it was still the same. How long can they actually run "Buy 2 get the 3rd for a $1."? Not saying that's not a good deal, but come on people, what happen to the 3rd movie being a penny? Anyway, we look around and within 10 minutes, we have bout 9 movies clutched in out greedy hands. Then we started going through them and end up with 3. Not too bad, eh? So, we look at the clock and see that it's 10 till 8. So, we decided to leave. We walked out with:

1) A Perfect Getaway

2) Saw 6

3) The Hangover

Then we decide to head to the theater and wait it out. I know, over and hour to wait. So, we get there and notice that there wasn't too many people. So we decided to check out the showing to see if there's any sooner. As we drive by, we notice that the last showing was at... wait for it... 7:30!! We were SO pissed. For one, their website has a big ass miss print, but we missed the last showing by like 20 minutes!

So, we were like screw this and decided to go ahead and grab some Taco Bell (which wasn't the best) and head on home.

All in all, it was a nice trip, we just didn't get to see the movie we wanted. Oh well, better luck next time. But until then, keep rockin!

Love & Peace

What a big night we had...

Well, we decided yes about seeing New Moon. I know, I know, it's horrible. We had planned on seeing the 10:00 show, but we still needed to go to the store and stuff. So we ended up leaving at like 5:45.

We got to PB around 7:00, so we decided to go ahead and see the 7:20 showing while we were there. Well, we were just driving along and as we pulled up to the theater, we were amazed. There was not one place to park. We were like, "What the hell." We drove on through in hopes of finding a parking place, but there was none. Then we saw the line... holy crap. The were backed up to the side of the building! It was insane. We both decided to just do what had originally planned and see the 10:00 show.

After we left the theater, we decided to hit up Movie Gallery and see what they had. And I'm so glad that we did, because they had loads of awesome movies. They had a couple good sales going on. Like all the movies that were $14.99 were $8.99, all the movies that were $12.99 were $4.99, and all the movies that were $9.99 and under were $2.99. It was an awesome deal. We were stoked. We ended up getting:

Role Models

Step Brothers

The Cottage

Wrong Turn 3

Taken

And guess how much all these were... $24.00! Before tax of course. It was a freakin steal man. There was a few more, but we decided to get them on Amazon instead, because it was a bit cheaper. Anyway, it's great line up of movies to add to our collection. I suggest hitting up your local Movie Gallery as soon as you can.

Then after we left there, we went to Walmart. And at that time, it was 7:30. So we had 2 1/2 hours to blow. We walked around and looked at everything! I was so glad to get out to the car by time we left. We did get some pretty cool stuff though. We got a Pedipaws thing, but since Milla's nails haven't been trimmed in a while, it didn't work so well. We also got a new football to toss around, Our other one is gone. Still don't know what happened to that. Anyway, we got other stuff too, like cat and dog food and so on.

After we left there, it was about 9:20, so we decided to go on to the theater and give it another try. As we pulled in, there was a bunch of people leaving, so that was cool. We found a parking place and sat there listening to music while everyone was dissipating. We finally decided to go in and get our tickets. And then luckily, we were the first people in the theater, so we got the best seat. It wasn't too crowded, only about 30 more people showed up. It was a nice little Thanksgiving move for us, lol.

Well bitches, I guess that's all for now. Hope you all enjoyed your turkey day. Until next time, you know where to find me. Peace...

Happy Thanksgiving Bitches!

Hey people, Happy Thanksgiving. We just got back from my aunt's (LaVaughn's mom) house. It was a pretty good little gathering. We got loads of leftovers. No cooking for like a week, yay! It was a bit depressing though, this was our first Thanksgiving without our grandma. So, it was kind of sucky. Well, enough about that.

We're thinking (but we're not sure) of hitting the theater up here in a little bit. And as much as I hate to admit it, we're thinking about seeing... I think I can... ugh... New Moon. I know, I know, we're such followers. But, it'll give us something to do. I'll let you know either after we get back or after while. Not too sure yet.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Until next time, keep eating your turkey and rockin out. Peace...

Where did the time go?…

Seriously, where did the time go? It’s been forever and a day since my last blog. About 4 months I think. But all in good reason. Gees, I don’t even remember where my last blog left off. Well Lucy, we have a lot of explaining to do…

To start everything off. Just after Thanksgiving my grandma started to get sick. She wouldn’t eat and she slept all the time. So after about a week or so of her being sick and not wanting to go to the doctor. We decided to make her go. Well the first hospital we took her to that will go unnamed for now just sent her home after about five hours of pretty much nothing. So the next day we all realized the she was sick and still needed to go to the doctor. So my aunt (LaVaughn’s mom) took her to a bigger hospital a few towns over. Where they immediately stuck an IV in her arm and gave her a room. This story if pretty long so I’m going to make it as short as possible. She was in there for 14 days and during that time she had a few different infections and her kidneys were failing. So after about a week of the doctors trying to get her kidneys to function, they decided to just put her on dialysis. So now she has to go to a dialysis clinic three time a week. But I think that’s a small price to pay. At least she’s doing good now.

After all that happened things started to go back to normal.

First, we got another ferret. It was in the pet store and was oh so cute at the time. So of course, we had to have it. We brought her home and she and our other ferrets got along so well. Then after a while we were talking. And moving came up a time or two. And we were thinking, “No one would rent a house/apartment to us with all of our animals.” So we were thinking about maybe trying to find some of them a nice new home. After about a week of that we decided to drop the whole “moving thing” and forget about getting rid of our animals. So we went on out way. Then we were talking one day about how much Ginger would go to the bathroom in the floor. And ever since we got Ginger (our Chihuahua) we’ve tried to potty train her. We tried walking her, getting puppy pads, and we even thought about a puppy litter box. But nothing would work. So we though if we could find her a nice home, it would be better for everyone. So we had some friends ask around for us. Then one day we were talking about how 3 ferrets is way too many. We can’t even play with them for very long periods. So we tossed the idea of getting rid of Luda and the new ferret around. So after about 2 weeks of having people ask around. We finally found some homes for some of them. So, we found our outside cat October a nice home on a farm where she‘ll be the only animal there. We found a great place for Luda and our new ferret. The guy said that he had ferrets in the past and knew a lot about them. So that was cool. And we also found Ginger a home with a couple that didn’t have any animals. Hopefully they’ll be able to potty train her. So now that leaves us with Milla (our German Shepherd), our cats (Zoe, Mischa, and Oona), Hollis (our hamster), and John Rambo (our gerbil). Oh, stupid me for forgetting. Our other finch died. No clue why. He just kicked the bucket one day. And a while after that we seen a couple love birds that looked pretty cute. LaVaughn really wanted them. But we backed off at first. Then like a week later the same love birds were still there. So after we talked ourselves into it, we decided to get them. They are so cute but still a little on the unsocial side right now. And I think that concludes all of our animal news.

Oh yea. LaVaughn took her eyebrow ring out and I took my left lip ring out. We were just sitting there one day talking about how more that one piercing on the face is a little too much. For us anyway. And I must say, it does feel loads better.

Hmm, what else? Well we’ve bought loads of new movies since the last time we’ve blogged. We really buy a lot from amazon.com anymore. But man, you can find DVDs so cheap there. And extremely rare. Like for example, Evil Toons. A really old comedy/horror movie of the early 90s. It was a bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it.

Oh yea. We seen The Last House on the Left. The opening night. Well it was more like day. But we got to see the very first showing. It was cool. There were only two other girls in there with us. Weird huh? But anyway, the movie was awesome. With a well assembled cast, great plot and an awesome director. This makes for a great movie. So the next chance you get, please go see this movie. If not for yourself, for me.

Man, I know there has to be more, but I just can’t think of it right now. Well, if I think of anything else, I’ll just blog about it later. So until next time, keen on rockin’.

Quarantine...

Well, earlier today, LaVaughn was like, “Hey, we should go to the movie.” and I was like, “Sure, lets go.” So off we went. When we got there, we saw that they were showing Quarantine. And ever since we saw the preview of Quarantine two months ago, we said we wanted to see it. So, that’s the one we chose. And oh my god, that movie was freaking awesome! It‘s one of the best horror movies I‘ve seen in a long time. I‘m not going to say too much about it cause you need to see it and I don‘t want to spoil it for you. There were a couple of parts in the move that made everyone in the theater jump. So please, do yourself a favor and go see this movie. You’ll be thankful you did. I would have to give this movie at least a 9/10. It was that good. Peace out and enjoy the movie. - Megan
