Are you ready?

Well, as I stated in a previous blog, I'm thinking about starting my movie reviews back up. Then I was thinking, why not start now? So, prepare yourself. First on the chopping block is:

Whiteout

I'm sure a lot of you have already seen this, if not for the thrill of watching a horror movie, for Kate Beckinsale, lol. Come on, even for a chick, she's a hottie. It's mainly about her and a team of scientists that are there exploring all sorts of shit. I'm a little iffy on it all, it's been forever since I've seen it. All in all, it's a pretty good movie. Not your average thriller, it one wont keep you on your toes or anything, but it's ok.

Rating: 6.5/10

Saw VI

This was by far the best of the new Saw movies. They've pretty much stopped grabbing my attention since Saw III. Anyway, this has the dude from the 5th installment of the films (not sure of his name right now) and he's pretty awesome. Way better then some of the other people they've had in the front row. I have to say, seeing Eddie from Family Matters really freaked me out. I wasn't the same after that. But, don't let that stop you from watching, it's pretty cool.

Rating: 7.5/10

Pandorum

I'm going to go ahead and say it, the only reason we rented this was for Ben Foster. Not once did this movie grab my attention. I've never really been a big Sci Fi freak. The movie of that type that I actually remember enjoying was Pitch Black. Anyway, this movie is about these guys that are trapped under water in a space ship of some kind with some trick ass aliens running around. Not too many scares to be found in this one, just your average alien flick. I mean, I've seen worse, but I've also seen a whole lot better.

Rating: 6/10 <-- That's mainly because of Ben Foster

Zombieland

Oh man, where do I start. As I'm sure you all know, we're massive zombie lovers. But when you pair Woody Harrelson, a shotgun and zombies, you have a recipe for awesomeness. Not only was this movie hysterical, it was pretty creepy too. The zombies looked awesome and they weren't stingy on the blood. One of the best zombie flicks since Dawn Of The Dead.

Rating: 8.5/10

The Stepfather

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how this movie will be. If you've seen the original, then you've seen this one. They just switched the leads up a bit. Anyway, I actually like the lead in this movie, Dylan Walsh is pretty cool. But he didn't bring to the table what Terry O'Quinn did 20+ years ago. Am I saying this is a bad movie, no way. Am I saying this is one of the best movies, no again. But it is something that you can just watch and not have to follow.

Rating: 7/10

Law Abiding Citizen

We rented this movie in hopes of seeing Gerard Butler at his best (ie; 300), but man we're we let down. Not only is the plot out of this world insane, the acting isn't the best. I don't know what's up with it, maybe they just had a small budget. Anyway, that's beside the point. The point is, don't rent this movie and think that you're going to get an non stop action flick, cause you're not. I think I would rather watch Twilight.

Rating: 4/10

Alright kiddies, I believe that's all I have in me today. It's been forever since I've wrote reviews, so be patient with me while I get back into the flow of things.

Until next time, you know where to find me...

It's been so long...

It seems like we never go to Poplar Bluff anymore just for the heck of it. A lot of that could be due to the way we're sleeping. So yesterday, I ended up having to get up at like 3:00 pm and do something. I was done around 5 and thought I would wake LaVaughn up and see if she wanted to go see The Crazies. So naturally, she did. While she was getting ready, I looked up the showings. One was for 6:40 and the other was for 9:20. Of course, we wanted to see the late show, so we had plenty of time to hit PetsWay and Hasting's.

Well, we get to PetsWay at about 6:20 and end up staying until about 7:10 or so. During this time, we end up with a toy for Milla and... a dwarf rabbit. Well, not really, but almost. They had about 5 of them in the back where they used to keep the puppies. At the time, we're really digging the thought of have a rabbit again. So we go look at cages, food, ect. Then we actually get to talk to a so called worker (who doesn't know shit about animals) about the rabbit. And when he mutters the words, they get just as big as normal rabbits, we begin to back off. We decided to go ahead and leave cause the place was getting ready to close and creepier by the minute.

Then we get to Hasting's, our home away from home. The first thing we do is look at the sales that are going on. And to our surprise, it was still the same. How long can they actually run "Buy 2 get the 3rd for a $1."? Not saying that's not a good deal, but come on people, what happen to the 3rd movie being a penny? Anyway, we look around and within 10 minutes, we have bout 9 movies clutched in out greedy hands. Then we started going through them and end up with 3. Not too bad, eh? So, we look at the clock and see that it's 10 till 8. So, we decided to leave. We walked out with:

1) A Perfect Getaway

2) Saw 6

3) The Hangover

Then we decide to head to the theater and wait it out. I know, over and hour to wait. So, we get there and notice that there wasn't too many people. So we decided to check out the showing to see if there's any sooner. As we drive by, we notice that the last showing was at... wait for it... 7:30!! We were SO pissed. For one, their website has a big ass miss print, but we missed the last showing by like 20 minutes!

So, we were like screw this and decided to go ahead and grab some Taco Bell (which wasn't the best) and head on home.

All in all, it was a nice trip, we just didn't get to see the movie we wanted. Oh well, better luck next time. But until then, keep rockin!

Love & Peace

Saw VI...

Yes, it's true, there's another Saw movie in the works. I've been a pretty big supporter of the whole Saw franchise for some time now. That was until I had seen Saw V. The lovely people behind Jigsaw and all his glory decided to give us another dose of the wicked torture scenes that made these movies famous. The question is, will it be any good? Come on people, they killed Jigsaw! How can these damn movies keep going. You know that Jigsaw didn't sit down one day and decide to plot all of the crap. Ugh, I'm done. I could go on for hours about this, but I'm not. Well, I can't promise you a review anytime soon, considering the movie wont hit theaters until October. I'm not even sure if I can promise you a review at all. After the 5th installment, I'm not sure if I want to put myself through all of that again. But, I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. So, if you hear that infamous voice in the background saying, "Lets play a game." you know what time of year it is. But until then, you know where to find me. Peace out and rock hard...
