Happy Halloween 2015!

Well things did NOT go as planned today. Nothing bad happened, no worries there, just nothing that we planned took place, aside from stopping by Angie's to give her kids their treat bags. Between you and me, I think their bags were a waste. Aside from Rose saying thank you, they just seemed whatever about it. We put a lot of crap in those bags and didn't really get anything back. Cody had a grocery store bag full of candy that he appeared to hide beside the recliner in the living room. It was all very odd.

They also had guests over, which made the entire thing even more awkward.

We had planned on going to Thee Abbey after for their candle lit "haunted house tour". Come to find out it wasn't haunted at all. It was JUST a tour of the place. The same tour they have all year around. The only thing that made it different was the fact that it was at night and by candle light. And did I mention that the tickets were $15 per person for less than an hour?! Yeah, no thank you! We quickly decided against it and headed to the store.

We got sidetracked in the store and started looking at Christmas decorations. You can imagine how odd we looked. We were probably the only two people in the country that were buying Christmas decorations on Halloween. We're weird like that, so it works.

We found SO many red and green things to match our theme this year. Ugh, it's so exciting! I wanted to buy one of everything, but we thought they might put different stuff out closer to Christmas. We also wanted to try out other stores, so we limited ourselves to just a handful of things. It's definitely safe to say I can't WAIT to decorate this year!

I know this is odd, but we also found holiday flavored dum dums at the store. HOLIDAY flavored! Like ginger bread and sugar cookie! How awesome is that?? I know, I'm still a child at heart that gets excited over candy, so what. Well I guess that's all for now, time to watch The Gallows!

Love & Peace

I especially love the little Santa up front.

Faith, Peace, and Hope.

Santa and a couple trees (these did not come together).

Ho ho ho train. No pun intended.

And a noel train.

Some red and green candy cane ornaments.

Holiday Dum Dums.

And lastly, Una watching The Green Inferno with me.

Weeks end recap...

Cody, his mom and sister just left a little while ago. Man, what a game-filled 24 hours we've had! Judy and Bob left yesterday around 1:30/2:00 (thank god!), Angie ended up being late and arrived just after 3 instead of her original 2. That worked out fine though, we were in no rush for her to arrive. She stayed until just after 4, then we all headed to town.

We stopped by Walmart once when we go to town to cash a Paypal check, then once on the way out to grab Grand Theft Auto 5 on PS4! We had to grab a couple snacks for Cody from the store, of course, but that goes without saying. We ended what seemed like 5 hours in town with a stop by McDonald's for dinner. Of course, they didn't get our order right, which caused us to have to wait an additional 10 minutes. Super frustrating!

We got home just after 7. LaVaughn got the 360 hooked up for Cody while I got the glider food ready. He played from then on -- I think it was just after 5 this morning when we called it a night. We went to bed just before 5, we could hold out any longer.

We did break for about an hour last night to have tent time, which was a blast! We got Kira, Logan, and Seamus out. They were super fun. Cody really enjoyed himself.

Nothing much as taken place since this. Today is the first day it's been just us in almost a week. Yes, we've seriously had that many visitors this week, it's madness. As of right now I'm waiting on my Sims game to patch up. I had a horrid issue with my Origin not wanting to update, so I had to uninstall is (twice) and now my freaking game has to update. Go figure. I don't think I'll get to play tonight, and I have to work tomorrow, so no game time tomorrow either. Fun.

Oh, did I mention that we're not meeting up with Doug and Kyan this weekend? Oh god, this has been a terribly mess -- I honestly don't think I have the energy or patience to get into it. Long story short we're meeting them and Connie the following weekend in Festus, fun.

I think I'm going to call it a night. Until next time...

Love & Peace

Preparing for what's ahead...

So Bob and Judy have been down for a couple days now -- neither are planing on leaving until tomorrow. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, the only thing is that Cody (Angie's son, LaVaughn's high school friend) is coming to stay the night with us tomorrow night. They're supposed to be leaving tomorrow, but I'm not sure that will be the case if the weather is anything like it's supposed to be, which is rain.

It's not like they would be mean to him or anything, but it would be majorly uncomfortable for him and us! Plus, he would have no place to sleep. It's just an all around awkward and frustrating situation. Can I go back to work tomorrow instead?

In finger news -- yes, I said finger news -- I'm still highly on the uncomfortable side. My finger bothered me SO much at work yesterday! I panicked during the first 3 hours I was there, then we unbelievably busy in the late evening which didn't really give me much time to think of anything else. I was so happy to leave last night. I honestly didn't think I was going to make it out alive -- staying 45 minutes over my shift didn't help matters much.

Sorry, sidetracked! Back to my mysterious finger illness, which is bothering me even more today. I'm seriously on the brink of going to the doctor. Not really, but it sounds good. Of course, if things get any worse than today I'm most definitely going. I just DON'T get it! I'm going to continue my course of antibiotics and epsom salt soaks and see where that gets me. Cause lets face it, keeping a finger elevated is just NOT possible! Am I right?

In happier news, I got my awesome snakeskin purse form JustFab yesterday. It was SUCH a pleasant thing to come home to after my hellish night of work. I knew the size was going to be an issue, I could tell that by the stock photos. And let me say, they do not disappoint on their actual sizes, it's actually that small! I was hoping for a little bit of leeway, but if anything it's smaller than I was expecting. With that being said, I still managed to stuff 70% of my old purse items into my new one. I didn't, however, get to smash all of my body sprays in it. Major sad face.

I guess I had better get off my ass and finish feeding the gliders. I just finished making 3 batches of HPW a little while ago, I'm sure the gliders would like to enjoy some of that.

Love & Peace
