Who doesn't love a yard sale...

Our annual "2 family" yard sale started with a bang and a lot of cold rain. Well, there wasn't really a bang, but there was most definitely cold, cold rain! Considering our last yard sale was help in 100 degree heat, I welcomed the rain and 50 degree temperatures with open arms.

We rolled around at 11 in the AM today to start the big sale. We had to uncover everything and set loads of things out of the garage. By the time that was done, it was 11:30 and we already had our first customer - even though the sale didn't start until noon! Anyways, the first chick bought like $20 of stuff - 80% of that being ours. Score one for us! There were only two more people that showed before the heavy rainfall started and we had to cover everything back up.

All in all day one was a fairly decent start. Yes, we only had three people show up, but those three people spent over $60! That's $20 more that what we made last year after two days! Luckily my lovely, lovely aunt will be taking over tomorrow's sales and we'll be able to sleep in.

Love & Peace

Here are all the glorious photos:

Clothes, anyone?

How can you pass up those prices?

Old ass cat trees.

How can one person need SO many quilt pieces?

A bunch of my uncles junk.

Goodbye old friends. You served your purpose back in my GH and Rock Band days. You will be missed.

Ah! Too many purses!!

I liked to call this the round table of awesomeness.

Guitar Hero drums... barely used.

Cookware.

My aunts' things.

More indian things of my aunts'.

I still can't believe she was selling these beautiful spurs!

More glass stuff.

Our "business" table, LOL.

Money, money, money!

A bug.

Some awesome crock style boys that I could NOT let my aunt sell!

They were just too awesome to pass up.

Zoe attacking Bart.

Believe it or not, the only time she'll have anything to do with him is like this.

Hmm, I think she's biting him here.

Una loves catnip!

She loves it so much that she sticks her entire head in.

Zoe's smooshy face.

And now she's mad.

But oh so cute.

This cat grows like a weed!! Last week he was half this size!

Nothing says fun like Wii Tennis and Whitney Houston...

It's been brought to my attention that Jake Gyllenhaal (star of the upcoming thriller, Source Code) doesn't waste his time on games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, oh no, he would rather spend his free time playing Wii Tennis while listening to Whitney Houston. Yes... Whitney Houston! Nothing against her or Wii Tennis, but what the hell man! I play Left 4 Dead while listening to rob Zombie. Anyone else confused here? Whatever the case may be, I think Mr. Gyllenhaal can't keep a girlfriend for reasons stated above. To each their own I guess.

Well, I suppose that's all for now. Until the next celebrity comes out of the closet news, you know where to find me...

Guitar Hero... coming to an end?

I just recently found out that Activision, the company behind the ever so popular, Guitar Hero, is pulling the plug on the once beloved game franchise. It seems that Guitar Hero III was their last big seller and the market has gone downhill ever since. It's no big surprise to me, the games have been shit ever since Guitar Hero 2, but that's just my opinion. I mean, anything from a higher price to a sucky set list, GH has it. All of this is coming from an ex die hard fan. Believe me when I say this, I was the first in line when a new GH game was coming out. Well kiddies, not anymore. I guess you'll have to go out and pick up a real guitar if you want to play any new songs. Unless of course, you want to play Rock Band. But it's only a matter of time before they pull the plug as well.

I suppose that's all for now. Until the next big cancellation, you know where to find me...

Love & Peace

Song of the day: House Of The Rising Sun by Frijid Pink  <<< Seriously an awesome version! It almost gives The Animals a run for their money. :)

Rock Band 2...

Yes, it’s totally true. There is a Rock Band 2. Huh, that rhymed. I’m so stoked. I knew there was one in the works, but I didn’t realize it was this close. Well the good people behind Rock Band are very misleading in their commercial. They say that the game comes out Sunday, September 14th. But that’s not exactly true. Only the game itself comes out on that date and only for people that have an xBox 360. That’s cool for us, considering we have a 360. But the poor people that have a PS2 and PS3 are being led to believe they get their shot at glory on Sunday as well. I myself don’t think that’s right. To me that’s false advertising. But not to worry players of the Playstation, the game and the game bundle all come out in Rocktober. So, sorry to everyone that doesn’t get to join the rest of howling singers, the shredding guitarists, and even the up beat drummers as they line up at game retailers all around the US. But don’t worry, October is just around the corner. I guess that’s about it for now. So peace out all you far out groovy people.
