Nothing says fun like old school gaming...

LaVaughn and I have become bored with the majority of our games. There are only so many times you can play L4D, Resident Evil 5 and Saints Row The Third. We came to this conclusion last night and decided to pull out the Playstation 2!

We have quite a few games that go along with our PS2 - games like: GTA: San Adreas, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Resident Evil: Outbreat, Outbreak File #2, Code Veronica, 4 and then some. The ones we were really wanting to play went a little further back in times. The games we used to play when we were kids. Games like: Resident Evil: Nemesis, Survivor & Director's Cut! Yes, all the good classics. And oh wow, the JPEGing on those game, ha!

Aside from the awesome gaming that was going on last night, we also managed to do a little bit of sewing today. Remember the two sets that we cut yesterday? Well those bad boys got sewn up today.

Well, I suppose that's all for now. Time to go do something productive... well, probably not.

Love & Peace

Game of the day: Resident Evil: Survivor

Here are the pics:

Check out all those awesome PS2 Resident Evil games. Can't forget San Andreas and Chaos Theory either!

Resident Evil: Survivor and Resident Evil: Directors Cut.

And one of my personal favorites... Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

Some of LaVaughn's beyond awesome homemade lasagna! Yum!

Nom, nom, nom! Gotta love cheesy lasagna!

Here's one of the cage sets that we made.

And here's the other. Cute, eh?

Dead Island... can you handle it?

It was brought to my attention not too long ago that Techland (Call of Juarez) was developing a game by the name of, Dead Island. It's second nature for me to automatically want to know more about a game that has the word "dead" in it or seems like it may be zombie related. So I didn't think twice about looking into it. Dead Island is going to be similar to the ever so awesome, Left 4 Dead games. It's a first person game and can have up to four players. And like L4D again, it's main form of combat is with melee weapons. But Dead Island does have something that L4D doesn't, customizable weaponry. I know, I'm stoked too! And if you're lucky enough to own an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3, then you're golden. There hasn't been any talk of it being released on Wii or Playstation 2 yet, I guess we'll have to wait and see. Oh yeah, it's going to be published by Deep Silver.

The game is set in Papua New Guinea at the Royal Palms resort in a fictional town called, Banoi. Apparently, whichever character you choose wakes up after a drunken night on the town to full fledged zombie apocalypse. The characters you get to choose from are: Xian Mei (Royal Palms staff member), Logan (a surfer), Sam B (ex rapper) and Purna (unknown background).

Now I don't know about you, but I'm definitely going to be first in line when this bad boy hits stores later this year. I can already feel my heart start to pound at the thought of blood gushing, zombie bashing, head splitting fun of playing this game. Light up the darkness... now who's with me!

Love & Peace

Song of the day: Shoot To Thrill by AC/DC

Ready to wet yourself? Here's the latest trailer for Dead Island:

Pure creative genius! I love this trailer so much, it makes me want to cry. No joke. It's seriously one of the best game trailers of its time. If for some odd reason that wasn't enough, maybe these stills will help you along the way:

Let me check... yup, I'm wet!

Rock Band 2...

Yes, it’s totally true. There is a Rock Band 2. Huh, that rhymed. I’m so stoked. I knew there was one in the works, but I didn’t realize it was this close. Well the good people behind Rock Band are very misleading in their commercial. They say that the game comes out Sunday, September 14th. But that’s not exactly true. Only the game itself comes out on that date and only for people that have an xBox 360. That’s cool for us, considering we have a 360. But the poor people that have a PS2 and PS3 are being led to believe they get their shot at glory on Sunday as well. I myself don’t think that’s right. To me that’s false advertising. But not to worry players of the Playstation, the game and the game bundle all come out in Rocktober. So, sorry to everyone that doesn’t get to join the rest of howling singers, the shredding guitarists, and even the up beat drummers as they line up at game retailers all around the US. But don’t worry, October is just around the corner. I guess that’s about it for now. So peace out all you far out groovy people.
