The Walking Dead is upon us...

And no, I don't mean the actual walking dead. If that were true, the computer would be the LAST place I would be. Cause come on, we all know I have a zombie survival shelter, lol.

I'm talking about one of the most anticipated Television premieres of all time... The Walking Dead. Since the first season left us with so little, this 13 episode stint should make up for all the pain we loyal Walking Dead fans had to endure. I just hope they don't make us wait another year for season 3.

I know the premiere is only a few short hours away, but until then, here's a sample of what we're going to see tonight:

The Walking Dead Season 2 Stills

And to make you want to watch it even more, here's the trailer:

Back in the New York groove...

Over the past couple days, I've actually had several urges to blog. Exciting, right? Well just when I think that day is here, I get sick! Not horribly sick or anything, just a beyond disgusting sore throat. Could it be worse? Yes. But a sore throat is a sore throat, no matter how you look at it. I've been doping myself up with Theraflu and Chloraseptic all evening, so hopefully that helps. I'm also gargling with salt water ever couple hours. I was taking little swigs of whiskey, but now that I'm on meds, I guess I better stop. ;)

I know I had intentions to write something interesting, but I've completely forgotten what that was. Oh wait, I know, I was going to talk about Quarantine 2: The Terminal. Holy shit, that movie was awesome! Usually sequels that are straight to DVD bite the big one, but this one is definitely worth the watch! It takes place on the same night that everything happens in Quarantine, which I find to be incredibly awesome. It also fills you in on more that what Quarantine did. My advice: Watch it NOW! Here's the trailer.

Well, I believe that's all for now. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Dead Island... can you handle it?

It was brought to my attention not too long ago that Techland (Call of Juarez) was developing a game by the name of, Dead Island. It's second nature for me to automatically want to know more about a game that has the word "dead" in it or seems like it may be zombie related. So I didn't think twice about looking into it. Dead Island is going to be similar to the ever so awesome, Left 4 Dead games. It's a first person game and can have up to four players. And like L4D again, it's main form of combat is with melee weapons. But Dead Island does have something that L4D doesn't, customizable weaponry. I know, I'm stoked too! And if you're lucky enough to own an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3, then you're golden. There hasn't been any talk of it being released on Wii or Playstation 2 yet, I guess we'll have to wait and see. Oh yeah, it's going to be published by Deep Silver.

The game is set in Papua New Guinea at the Royal Palms resort in a fictional town called, Banoi. Apparently, whichever character you choose wakes up after a drunken night on the town to full fledged zombie apocalypse. The characters you get to choose from are: Xian Mei (Royal Palms staff member), Logan (a surfer), Sam B (ex rapper) and Purna (unknown background).

Now I don't know about you, but I'm definitely going to be first in line when this bad boy hits stores later this year. I can already feel my heart start to pound at the thought of blood gushing, zombie bashing, head splitting fun of playing this game. Light up the darkness... now who's with me!

Ready to wet yourself? Here's the latest trailer for Dead Island:

Pure creative genius! I love this trailer so much, it makes me want to cry. No joke. It's seriously one of the best game trailers of its time. If for some odd reason that wasn't enough, maybe these stills will help you along the way:

Let me check... yup, I'm wet!

Spring frogs, Paul and then some...

Well, last night was interesting. And since it was such a nice night, we decided to leave the door open (screen door closed).  And just so you know, our dick demon kitten, Sophie (aka: Kitten), tore a huge hole at the bottom of our screen. Anyway, around 7ish, LaVaughn noticed something hopping across the floor. And what was it you ask, why a spring frog (spring peeper or pseudacris crucifer) of course. Thinking it would be no big deal, I scooped him up and took him back outside. Well, about 10 minutes later Una started chasing something. And yes, it was the spring frog. Again, I grabbed him up and took him back outside. About 15 minutes later, we heard a thump. LaVaughn looked over and sure enough, it was the damn spring frog. We decided to take him on the other side of our neighbor's house so he wouldn't hop back through our door. About 20 minutes after that, I made my way into the kitchen, only to find Zoe staring something down. And to my surprise, it was the damn spring frog AGAIN! At this point, it was a little freaky. I picked the little guy up anyway, only to find that he was hurt. That's when I decided to just put him in a container with some water until tomorrow, which is today.

About 30 minutes when by as we continued watching our movie, and lo, another frog hopped through the door! After that, we were less freaked by the fact that the same frog made it all the way from our neighbor's back to us. I just decided to catch that little guy and put him in with the other one. Again, no more than 10 minutes later, another damn frog hopped through the door. I grabbed him and put him with the two others. Then in no time, there was another frog! That's when we decided to shut the door. So now, there are 4 frogs sitting in the glider room. We're planing on taking them out in the woods later so that they'll stay away from the house. At least we hope. LaVaughn also managed to get some video of them singing last night. At least I think that's what they're doing, lol. Be sure to check that out at the bottom.

Aside from that enthralling news, we also managed to watch Paul, the movie. It's not really called Paul the movie, I just wanted to add that so you would know what I'm talking about. Anyway, if you're a beyond huge fan of Simon Pegg, like myself, then you probably already watched the trailer on YouTube. If not, watch it >> Here <<. It's about two English comic book fans (Simon Pegg, Nick Frost) that have come all the way to San Diego to Comic-Con. After that, they embark on a road trip where they run into an alien (Seth Rogen). They end up running from the FBI and getting into all kinds of chaos along the way. This movie also stars: Jason Batemen, Sigourney Weaver, Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig, just to name a few. If you're a fan of Shaun of the Dead, like myself, then you'll have no problem laughing your way through Paul. I highly, highly recommend it.

Well kiddies, I suppose that's all for now. Time to either go to the store or clean the house. More than likely, I'll stay home and clean. Anyway, until next time, you know where to find me...

Love & Peace

Just a couple random pics from last night as well. :)

Starry, starry night...

Well Mr. Don McLean, you were wrong. It's actually and rainy, rainy day and oh SO cold! What happened to that beautiful, Spring like weather we were having last week? Ugh, sometimes I love winter, sometimes I love to hate it. I guess it just depends on my mood, haha! I don't really have too much to talk about today, I'm mostly just rambling, like always.

I did manage to get a couple really cute pictures of my aunt's cat, Charlie. Yes, he is Charlie of the infamous, two Charlie's. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you'll have to backdate to last year sometime. Other than the pictures, that's pretty much all I have to say.

Oh wait, I almost forgot. We watched this beyond kick-ass movie a couple nights ago. It's called: Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil. Here's the trailer - TDVE - if you want to check it out. And please, don't judge by the crappy trailers on YouTube. This movie is awesome and that's all you need to know. You can download it from a few different places, but not the best quality. And the full version of the movie hasn't been uploaded yet, so you have to deal with production writing every once in a while telling you what is supposed to be on the screen. And the fighting scenes have no "punching" sound effects, so it's just the people wrestling around on the ground. I, personally, think that just adds to the experience, but I definitely want the DVD when it comes out.

Ok, I do believe that's all I have for now. Gotta go hop in the shower and then head to the store. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Love & Peace

Movie of the day: The Road

Here are the pics:

Isn't he gorgeous?

Left 4 Dead 2...

Can you smell it? The smell of fresh, zombie slayed blood. Well, if you can't, maybe this isn't the blog for you. I've been trying to make time for this exact blog for a while now. I wanted it to be perfect. Then that way I can look back on this when Left 4 Dead 3 comes out and think to myself, "What good times that was." but lets face it, that's not going happen any time soon. So until then, can you even fathom what's coming out in 79 days? For me, November 17th, 2009 isn't just a stop along the way, it's a destination. And I hope that everyone reading this right now is going to be on the same bus as me. If not, you're not who I though you were. Well anyway, I could go on and on about this game until I had nothing left in me, but that's not what I'm going to do.

Well, my fellow zombie saying, ass kickin', gun toting friends, I'll see you on the other side. Peace...
