Growing beauties...

I can't believe how big these joeys have gotten, it's unreal. And with our busy day-to-day schedule, it seems they get that big even sooner. It won't be long before these guys will be leaving. Of course, I'm thrilled that they've all found homes, but it breaks my heart each time to see them go. It's going to be especially hard with Nanook, I'm extremely bonded to him. :(

Nymeria will be leaving next Thursday to stay the night with Milli. The following day she'll deliver her to her new mommy at the SGGA. My lovely, lovely aunt will be taking her to Poplar Bluff for us, because we have to go to Cape next Wednesday for LaVaughn's doctors appointment Thursday. It would just be a nightmare to have to drive all the way home from Cape and then drive all the way to Poplar Bluff.

So anyway, that's that. Now time for some joey pictures! Enjoy!

Might I inquire about your spoons...

Geez I'm exhausted! It's been such an unbelievably long work weekend -- and I already have to go back tomorrow! I tried sewing up a couple cage sets that someone ordered, but I just didn't have the energy to even complete half. I guess that will take place Monday.

I'm just so exhausted today. I want to go back to bed.

I finally got some new pics of Loras today. I've been avoid him like the plague because I'm terrified that Charli will reject him. Not that she really rejected the other boy, but she just didn't acknowledge him. He crawled out of the pouch constantly towards the end and she didn't even pull him back in. I swear I think something was wrong with him. But anyways, that's why I haven't been messing with him a whole lot.

And his poor head, oh gods! It's terrible looking. :( In happier news, I think Milli wants him to go in her pet cage, which is more than fine with me. I'll be less tempted to keep him.

Ugh, I'm exhausted again and need to go sleep or something. No! Coffee, that's what I need.

Love & Peace

When you don't have time to make butterbeer and you can't find pumpkin juice, you compromise:

Here's Loras in all of his radiant glory:

His tail is amazing!

Words can't even...

We received some devastating news last night. Our little ringtail girl, Wanda, passed away. Milli has only had her for 8 days, it's unreal. She apparently started going downhill a few days ago and appeared to be suffering from a UTI, which was treated at the vet yesterday. Apparently she started doing a little better last night, then just did a complete 180 and started having seizures.

It just doesn't seem real, I'm so upset. Milli is heartbroken, of course, but I have this feeling of sadness that I can't shake. She's having a necropsy done next week, so hopefully that will shed some light on exactly what happened to her.

I wish we would have kept her like we originally wanted to go. I have so much regret, I can't even begin to describe the way I feel. I just feel sick.

As much as I really don't want to go, I must. I have to be at work in just over an hour, definitely not looking forward to a day of sadness and loss. Hopefully we'll be busy and I won't have time to think about anything that's going on.

Windows 10...

So, there was a last minute change of plans last night. We ended up meeting Milli last night in PB as opposed to today, which worked better for everyone involved. We met at Petsway, like always, and made the swap. We didn't chit chat for too long, so we parted ways after about 10 minutes.

We headed to Walmart shortly after and grabbed a few things -- nail polish, some makeup, and even a couple movies. It was nice to not have an agenda or have to grocery shop. We ended our night with a moo latte from Dairy Queen and headed home.

We had started cleaning all the drop trays and wheels yesterday, but only got 3 cages done before we fixed dinner and headed to PB to meet her. We finished up the remaining 4 cages today. It's amazing what a difference that makes. I did a partial wipe down on all the cages, but nothing to brag about. I also cleaned the drop trays and swept the room. Aside from that I also vacuumed the house and did laundry. Go me!

I am in NO way bragging about this, but LaVaughn and I got a new mutual laptop just a short while ago. We've been wanting to replace our Compaq for some time now, but never took the plunge. Well a little over a week ago our fan stopped working on us entirely! It's an old computer, we've had it over 4 years. It's been an awesome computer, but it was time to retire the old broad.

We went with an HP, a model we haven't had in years! Like the last HP computer we got was back in 2005 and it was a desktop. We each got an Acer in 2008, then we each got a Compaq, then at the beginning of 2014 we each got an Asus. I'm curious to see how this one goes. It's sporting Windows 10, which is a BIG difference from Windows 7, which is what our Compaq had. We have Windows 8 on our Asus computers, which I despise more than you can imagine!

It's not all tiles, which I love. Tiles are still involved, but only via the start button. There's also a feature called Cortana -- very similar to Siri via your phone. Not sure how I feel about that addition, but aside from that it seems to be a well rounded (and improved) Windows system.

And now that I'm done ranting, here are some pictures from yesterday and today. Until next time...

Love & Peace

Pictures from yesterday:

Oh how I'm going to miss my gorgeous Wanda.

Her parents are going to miss her too.

We got the ENTIRE Saw movie collection for $7.50! Wrong Turn 6 was only $5. Pretty good buys on both, honestly.

I'm really hoping this works well on my nails. I think I have an iron deficiency which is causing my nails to crack and peel. Yuck!

Couldn't leave without a couple new colors. And can you believe they were all under $2 each??

Pictures from today:

Our geese have returned!

Bart's annual mini shoot, naturally.

He's such a love.

He was really enjoying showing off his nail scratching skills.

And lastly, our new HP computer. SO EXCITED!
