Snapshot 10/15/11

Outside my window… ~ Is a bunch of beautifully colored leaves that are being tossed around by the subtle breeze.
I am thinking… ~ That I really, really need to find some kind of Halloween fleece for Stacie so that she doesn't kill me for causing her to miss the Cage Contest on GliderCENTRAL.
I am thankful for… ~ Having multiple options of food to choose from tonight instead of trying to decide on, "Rice or nothing."
I am wearing… ~ A vintage Greatful Dead shirt and a pair of old grey shorts.
I am remembering… ~ The fall days of old when I would spend time watching all the Halloween movies on TV with my grandma. Oh how I miss those days...
I am going… ~ To be leaving shortly because some things can't function properly without a pill or two.
I am currently reading… ~  Various numbers of places that I have to call Monday. Fun, fun, fun!
On my mind… ~ The Walking Dead Season 2 Premiere.
Noticing that… ~ The house really needs to be dusted. Now I have a mission for tonight. That should be loads of fun...
Pondering these words… ~ "You can always get what you want."
In the kitchen… ~ Sits a bottle of Ortho Home Defense Max that will eventually need to be used. Around the house… ~ Is several lazy animals taking a nice evening nap.
On my frequent playlist ~ At the moment, I'm listening to a lot of Bob Dylan and Bach.
One of my favorite things ~ Is my Nikon. I never thought I could love a camera as much as I do.
A photo I love at this moment:

This was taken the other night outside the house. Isn't in amazing hose creeping your surroundings can be? And The full moon that we had that night really helped, lol.

Sports continuous fun...

I'm astonished by all the setting that this Nikon has. There are sever different macro settings, an easy setting, a smart portrait setting that detects smiles, auto mode and one of my favorites, a sports continuous setting. And for those of you who don't know what that is, it's a setting that takes multiple photos (usually 4 or more) within a fraction of a second. They're not as clear or as big as the other photos, but you can usually get the shot you want.

This setting works wonders with our stubborn dog, Milla. She never wants to look at the camera or even in the same direction of the camera. So it's a blessing, lol. We tested this setting out on her a couple days ago. It didn't work well at first, that is, until we brought chicken into the picture, lol. And after that, well, just let the pictures do the talking.

Until next time, you know where to find me...

TV show of the day: Big Love

Here are the pics:
(it works better if you scroll down really fast)

Awesome, isn't it?

This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship...

Ok, I am in LOVE with this new camera. All I find myself doing anymore is taking pictures. Not that I didn't do that before, but it's just more enjoyable now, lol. I don't really have too much else to say right now, just wanted to share some pics before I got completely backed up. Hope you enjoy!

Until next time, you know where to find me...

Movie of the day: Rise of the Planet of the Apes (which was awesome!)

Here are the pics from yesterday evening and last night:

This was taken like halfway across the yard. By LaVaughn I might add.

I'll explain why there's only one duck in a later blog.
