Woe is me...

Work was crazy busy today. I ended up staying 40 minutes over!! It was insane!! And of course, it was my last day so the time seemed to creep by.

I also got reamed today for the first time. Last night, a guy came in and ordered an ice cream cone, nothing else. There were two people standing in line behind him. Well, a few days before that, Cassie told me to never leave the register until I took everyone's orders. Okay, well I sat his receipt to the side, smiled at him and began to take the next order. That's when he looked at me and was like, "Well can you get my ice cream!?" I replied, "I'm sorry sir, I have to take everyone's orders before I can leave the counter." Well he didn't like that at all! He followed with, "Well I had to wait to have my order taken, so now I have to wait on them!? Just give me my money back." I replied, "Are you serious?" His response, "Yes, just give me my money back."

I said okay, looked over and yelled for Melissa - managers are the only ones who can give refunds. By that time, he had already stormed out and ran off. And of course, he called in and complained about the horribly rude girl at the register. Screw you man, I wasn't being rude!!!

I was on a roll today and finally told Cassie that I only wanted a few days a week. She said okay and that was that. I suppose we'll see if she listens when next weeks schedule is posted.

There was a new guy today named Tharin. He was pretty nice, but super shy. I'm sure he was just nervous though. They had him on fries the entire time he was there. I mean, he did absolutely nothing else, lol. Talk about an easy job!

I'm surprised that store can afford just a fry boy as short staffed as they are.

Okay, enough boring ass work talk. We got something in the mail that I think it really cool... it's called: Surgery Book: An Illustrated Guide to 73 of the Most Common Operations. Pretty awesome, eh!? It has like step by step procedures on how to preform operations! An no, we're not planing on kidnapping anyone. Not anytime soon, anyways. :)

Aside from that, we also got Big Love season 2! We won it in an auction for really cheap. And guess what, it's brand new!! I can't believe we finally have the first two seasons of that awesome show!!

And to round off our ebay winning spree... we won the first TWO seasons of The Walking Dead!!!! And they're new!! You'll never guess how much... only $11.50 for both seasons!! I couldn't believe it! Win of the year!

Okay, I think I've rambled enough for now. It's time to start my two day vacation!

Here's what the surgery book looks like:

"I may not always love you."

If anyone has every watched Big Love, then you know that's the opening line to their theme song, "God Only Knows". The only reason I'm even bringing that up is because Big Love season one came yesterday! I found it on ebay a while back and saw that it was ending in 45 minutes with only one bid at $2!! And shipping was only $3! I honestly didn't think I'd win, but luck was on my side and I did! So we totally scored Big Love season one for $5. And did I mention that it's in awesome condition? :)

I got some really cute pictures of Hadley yesterday. It's just me holding her outside in front of my favorite maple tree. She's far too little to have outside pictures taken on trees, so holding her will have to do for a while. She's seriously SO cute! I love her pretty little face!

Our little chick with the bum foot and leg seems to be doing okay. LaVaughn made a pretty awesome hobble brace for her tonight that really seems to straighten her leg up. We also have cloth bandaides on her foot, which I think will work wonders! I just wish this poor little thing would pull through already. I know it's only been a couple days, but to her I'm sure it seems like a lifetime!

Work was crazy busy today! We have people coming in from all over the place! I even worked 30 minutes over because they were so packed at 4! I worked the window again today. I actually really enjoy working the window. I don't have to deal with taking orders and don't have to clean the lobby! I'll probably be on the register all of next week, lol.

Desiree came up to me about 30 minutes before I left and asked if I could work tomorrow. Apparently tomorrow is graduation and things are going to be flooded. Of course, I said sure, even though I wanted to say no. But I kind of took it as a compliment, considering I haven't even worked there a month and they're already asking me to come in when I'm not scheduled. Anyway, I had to call Desiree when I got home and she said that I could cover part of the shift tomorrow and work from 4 - 8.

It's really very hard to work when all I think about it Dead Island Riptide. I'm so into that game right now, it's unreal! I think about it constantly while I'm at work. I know, it's sad.

Oh yeah, when I got home I was very pleased to hear that Shannon sent us new pictures of our little girl! She's SO cute!! I can't wait till she's another week older and has her big girl face. :)

Okay, I suppose that's all for now. Time to play some Dead Island!!

Sports continuous fun...

I'm astonished by all the setting that this Nikon has. There are sever different macro settings, an easy setting, a smart portrait setting that detects smiles, auto mode and one of my favorites, a sports continuous setting. And for those of you who don't know what that is, it's a setting that takes multiple photos (usually 4 or more) within a fraction of a second. They're not as clear or as big as the other photos, but you can usually get the shot you want.

This setting works wonders with our stubborn dog, Milla. She never wants to look at the camera or even in the same direction of the camera. So it's a blessing, lol. We tested this setting out on her a couple days ago. It didn't work well at first, that is, until we brought chicken into the picture, lol. And after that, well, just let the pictures do the talking.

Until next time, you know where to find me...
