Company Customer Service Class

I know I'm posting kind of late tonight, but since I have no photos from yesterday or today (probably tomorrow as well), I thought I would go ahead and get a quick word in. I think I mentioned last week that I had a mandatory customer service class to do today, but I'm honestly not sure. It's something that every single person working for that company has to do. Since COVID is still an issue, they were limited to only 5 employees per class. LaVaughn and I ride together, so there was no way they could put us on separate days due to the office being almost 2 hours away from us in Cape. Luckily that wasn't an issue.

I'm still uncertain as to why we had to take a customer service class, considering we don't really deal with customers. I mean, what they were teaching in class today was basically common sense -- I guess a lot of people don't really have that anymore? Who am I kidding, of course they don't. It was only supposed to be an hour long class, but you can always assume something like this is going to run over, which it did by over 30 minutes. It normally wouldn't bother me, but we had a grocery pickup waiting on us.

Speaking of grocery pickup... I always do the grocery pickup at Fredericktown Walmart on our way home, but sometimes we go home through Farmington and I do it there. Not once have I had a bad experience. I mean, on the rare occasion I'll get a bad substitution, but never really anything to complain about. I also think the longest I've had to wait is 15 minutes. Not bad, right? Well Cape Walmart is an entirely different story. They have about 10 or so more pickup spots, which is super confusing because it only goes to 19 on the app and we were in 21, naturally. After I checked in we waited... and waited... and waited. I'm not joking when I say we sat there for over 45 minutes waiting.

In the stores defense, the lady did say they were unusually busy that day and had people call out. She wasn't even supposed to be working that section.

After that I ran in Petco and grabbed a couple Gouramis, then we stopped by White Castle to get some dinner. They have a really awesome deal right now - 10 sliders for 5.99. We didn't have to wait in line too horribly long, but that all changed when they had us park. Then we had to wait a whopping 18 minutes! I was legit on the phone with them when LaVaughn told me the lady was coming towards the car.

It was just a horrible long day and it seemed like we had to wait on everything! This is why I don't like Cape; they're too busy and have too many people.

After our nearly 2 hour drive, we finally made it home. I'm exhausted, like really exhausted for some reason. I think it's because I've been getting up early for the past few days in a row and it's finally starting to catch up on me. I guess that's all for now...

This is a pic I took today on Snapchat, which is where the filters come in. You I hate posting blogs without posting a photo, so this retro pic of White Castle will have to do.

Welcome To The World

Yesterday was complete and utter insanity. As we were leaving Perryville, I had to run in Walmart to get a few things for my aunt, which was the only stop there. After that we had to make our way to Farmington for a grocery pickup. That was fine, went off without a hitch. After that I had to run into Rural King for some chick starter and to hopefully find an heirloom tomato plant and a few more pepper plants. Well they didn't have the type of heirloom tomato plant that I wanted, so I settled for some yellow cherry tomatoes and a banana pepper plant.

This is where it got terrifying. Last week Starbucks opened in Farmington which is super exciting, but not so much for the employees or the people waiting in a never ending hell that we call a drive thru. I used the mobile app to order, but you still have to use the drive thru to pick it up, which is fine. Well when we arrived, the line was backed up to the road and it stayed that way until we left. I've worked fast food before, I know how terrible it is to be wrapped and literally never get a break.

I'm not joking when I say we were in line for a minimum of 25 minutes. It would've almost been worth it if they had the caramel ribbon crunch, but oh no, they were out. Maybe next time, because the java chip is not worth the price or waiting in line for.

Since we hadn't had White Castle in ages, we decided to get that for dinner. After all, they have a 10 sliders for 5.99 deal going on right now, so totally worth it. Unfortunately the line for WC was almost just as ling. The waiting time there was around 20 or so minutes.

After that, we had the 50 minute drive home. Fun!

All of the chaos aside, we did have 5 baby chicks to come home to! That made it (almost) all worth it. They're so stinking cute too, I just want to squeeze them to death. Unfortunately we couldn't really handle them too much, but today is a different story. Another little one started hatching out last night, but didn't fully hatch until after 9 this morning. He's SO cute and so dark!

All baby chicks are cute, who am I kidding.

Speaking of baby things, while I was un Rural King a group of around 5 people were looking at the baby bunnies. Apparently the youngest girl -- couldn't have been younger than 11 or 12 -- threw a fit when no one would buy her a rabbit. I'm talking full on screaming and crying and stomping off like a 2 year old. I would've been beat if I pulled something like that with my mom. Kids nowadays, so entitled.

In today news, I planted the cherry tomato plant and pepper plant earlier today. They fit right in with the other 48 tomato plants and 8 pepper plants. We have all our cucumbers, okra and half the zucchini planted, so while I was outside I went ahead and planted the other 5 zucchini plants.

I'm not sure what's happening, but all the cucumber plants looks sickly. Some of the okra too, but mainly the cucumbers. I'm worried they're all gonna die out and we're going to end up buying more. I hope that's not the case, but it wouldn't surprise me. And tomorrow and Thursday it's supposed to rain. Not just light drizzles, I'm talking flash flood warning type of rain. It's going to really piss me off if some of our tuff washes out.

Hopefully that doesn't happen, one can always hope and pray. I'm going to leave it at that and share some pics of the baby chicks. Enjoy!

Here's 5 of our baby chicks.

The other guy is in the incubator still.

Something sweet and something savory...

Hey again people. I just thought that since I have nothing better to do right now, I'd give you all a little update. Nothing too big or anything, just a little something to keep you going until I have another mind blower. And we all know that happens every other day, lol. Anyway, enjoy...

Well, we went to the pet store yesterday and picked up some mealworms and this awesome bird perch for our gliders. They love it and look SO cute on it. They were a little froze when they were first on it, but we did just wake them up. Then later that day when they woke up, they loved it. We also got them their favorite treat, mealworms. Lets just say they had a big night, lol.

And guess what else we did yesterday? We went to White Castle! Yay us. We just got a crave case though...

Well, I guess that's all for now. Just wanted to share...

The only White Castle pic we got...

Where to go?

We've been sitting here for the past couple of hours trying to decide on where the road should take us. Should it take us to A: Farmington, where they have White Castle, or B: Fredericktown, where they have fish and chips? We can't make up our mind. Considering we've only had some old cheese and tomato on a hamburger bun, anything sounds good. I guess we'll figure it out as we're leaving. See you on the other side bitches. Peace...

Megan & LaVaughn go to White Castle...

Yes, it’s true. We went to White Castle. But it wasn’t all fun and games. Well, most of it was, but anyway, Saturday afternoon we both decided that we wanted to go to White Castle Sunday. So after a nice long discussion, we decided to go early Sunday morning. And we’re also in this really weird sleeping habit, so we like go to bed at like 2:30 pm and get up about 11:00 pm or midnight. It’s weird, but anyway. We got up about midnight, maybe a little before and ate a cheese sandwich. We didn’t want to eat anything big cause we were saving our hunger for WC. So we looked up some DVDs until about 3 or so then downloaded some music then about 4:15, we decided to leave. And like 5 minutes after we left, I was like. “Dude, I forgot my cell phone and yours is dead.“ But neither of us wanted to go all the way back for a cell phone, that’s what they make pay phones, am I right? Well, we got to the next town over and the entire town was dead. And we were going on about a quarter tank of gas. And there are only like 3 gas stations in the entire town and none of which were open. So we circled the place about 3 times and couldn’t find any other place that had gas. So we figured our car would make it about 20 more miles, so we went on our way. Well we got about 5 miles out of Farmington and found a 24/7 gas station. So we got gas and finished our long journey to WC. When we got there, they had just opened so we were their first customers. They’re not a 24/7 WC like up in Cherry Hill (referral to Harold & Kumar) they open at 6 in the am. So we pulled up and ordered: a crave case (half with cheese), a number 4 sack meal, which has: 20 sliders with little itty bitty grilled onions and 4 fries and to top it off, 2 large cokes. The guy told us it would be about 10 minutes or so and asked us if we had time. Seriously, who doesn’t have time for WC? So he went on his merry way and started cooking. And all this glorious meal cost us was, $40! That was so cheap. And totally worth it. So after we got our food, we started our long journey home. Well we got like 15 miles from our house and seen this dude parked on the side of the road. As we passed it looked like he was dead. And I was like. “Dude, was he dead?” and she was like, “I don’t know, maybe we should go back.” So we did. Well, we pulled in next to him and was looking in his window, which by the way was rolled down, and LaVaughn yelled, “Is he dead?” and about that time he raised his head and looked over at us. And I was like, “He’s not dead!” so we flew out of there really fast. Oh, it was good stuff. The dude probably thought we were gonna murder him. Well that pretty much concludes our trip to White Castle. You and one of your friends should go make your own White Castle story. It’ll be totally worth it. - Megan
