For once in my life...

It's been a terribly busy work weekend -- Saturday was horrible!! It's really bringing to light what the summers are like. I honestly don't know how I could forget, but when you have 4 months or so of semi-slow work, you forget what an actual busy day is like. It's just making me want to leave that much sooner.

I also came to the conclusion yesterday that is was the last day I'll ever have to wear a McDonald's uniform. Made me kind of sad on my long drive home, but I'm also kind of relieved. I HATE the shirts we have to wear, they're murder! Especially in the summer, yikes!

I sewed a set earlier today that I cut out after The Walking Dead last night. It hasn't sold yet, which is odd because I think it's super cute. Not like that means much. We went to town earlier, but it still hadn't sold by the time we got home. Sad face.

My aunt ordered some essential oils from one of the many preachers wives around here and paid nearly $80 for 4 half ounce bottles. Well LaVaughn and I found the exact same oils on Ebay for 1/4 of that -- and they're whole ounces!! I couldn't believe it. They arrived today, that's why I even thought to bring it up. So just remember to check Ebay before you buy oils from one of your friends.

I'm so chilled -- LaVaughn and I just had the dogs outside for a walk for nearly an hour. They loved it and I got a lot of gorgeous pictures of Milla in the process.

Kind of random, but our newest boy, Loras, is developing some really awesome colors! He has a massively marbled patagium that could possibly be pied. I'm so excited. Did I also mention that we may be keeping him? :D

Well I guess that's all for now. Slightly less boring than last weeks posts, but nothing over the moon. Until next time...

The New World...

So, I was in the middle of sewing a cage set earlier today when I got a call from Bonnie asking me if I could come in. Apparently she had someone quit on her today and needs me to start ASAP. She also asked me if I could come in a train some today. so after I finished my cage set I swallowed a cup of coffee and jumped in the shower.

It was super easy, honestly. The register is different, of course, so that's going to take some time to get used to. Other than getting the EBT purchases down, I think I've got this. I got there at 3 today and stayed until they closed at 8 -- yes, they close at 8! I love that!

I honestly can't wait to leave McDonald's and work there full time.

I messaged Cassie earlier today and told her that I needed to either put in my two weeks or go on leave. Since taking a leave of absence gets me out of there a week earlier, I went with that. So I guess next week is my last week. It's so weird! I'm really not bummed at all, I'm looking forward to it.

You know what I'm not looking forward to? Working at McDonald's tomorrow. The weather is going to be so nice, do you have any idea what that means? We're going to be INSANELY busy! Sigh...

Here are some random pics of Zoe from today, just because:

It's like wiping your ass with a wagon wheel...

I think I've started all of this weeks blogs by talking about fleece or cage sets. This isn't healthy, I need to separate myself from sewing for a while, lol. Anyways, the rest of our Hanock fleece arrived today -- yay! I can't order anymore for a while, I'm grounded. Time to start sewing!

I actually just finished sewing a set for someone. It's gorgeous!

Speaking of cage sets. A lady ordered a cage set last week -- odd pieces: 2 pouches, 1 glider bucket, and 4 corners. We made small talk and it surfaced that she made Sugar Glider E-Kits. I told her how awesome I thought they were, then she asked if I needed one. I told her that one day, sure, then she mentioned that she would be willing to do a trade for another cages set if I was interested. I said yes and the rest is history.

So what I'm saying is... Our e-kit came today! Yay! And it's awesome, so worth what we traded for.

Not much else is going on, just kind of boring lately. I'll be sewing again tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll be talking about it either then or the next day. Until then...

Here's our awesome new Sugar Glider Emergency Kit! Or Sugar Glider E-Kit.

Beautiful cage set I sewed today.

And Bart...

And all of our awesome fleece from Hancock.

You never can tell...

Well some of the fleece I ordered arrived yesterday. Like always, it's gorgeous. I already cut out a set and sewed it up -- hasn't sold yet, not sure why. It never fails, when I think something is super gorgeous, it doesn't sell fast. Hopefully it'll sell tomorrow. I ended up selling a set out of different fleece, though, so that's awesome.

I think the other stuff that we ordered is going to be amazing. I can't wait to see it in person.

It's been a fairly boring day today. I took lots of pics outside today, which I haven't done since late fall. I also took lots of pics of Loras -- his fur is FINALLY starting to come back in. Hopefully this time next week it'll be fully grown in.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Until next time...
