Check it out, it's Venus!

Well kiddies, today is the day where you can feast your eyes upon a miraculous view. A view so miraculous that it will not be seen for another 105 years! Lucky for me, I plan on living that long. :) Seriously though, today is literally the only day our generation will get to see it. Wicked, eh? Well, kinda - if you're into that sort of thing.

Aside from that bucket of awesomeness, I saw something even more so. Little baby birds! Nothing makes me jizz more than birds. Well... maybe rabbets.

Okay, on that note - I'm out!

Here are the pics:

Here's a picture of Venus crossing the sun. If you look really, really close you can see it... ah, who am I kidding. You can's see shit.

You know what you can see? Baby birds in a nest!

 They're actually baby swallows.

 Cute, aren't they?

For some reason, they remind me of frogs.

Enough tent time, how about some mouse time!

Since last nights tent time with the sugar gliders was SO unsuccessful, we thought it might be fun to let our three albino mice have some time in the tent. And just so you know, it was a blast! They played on everything, especially Mordor. I have a feeling that this is going to be a regular occurrence.

In other news, we got a HUGE shipment from Joann.com today. The box was around 4 feet tall and had 18 yards of fleece within. Yes, 18 yards! We're in the process of doing a custom order for a glider friend, that's why we ordered so much fleece. I'll post a picture of everything once they're all sewn.

Well, I suppose that's all for now. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Mouse on Mordor!

Look at that little mouse butt.

I love the red albino eyes!

"I'm outta here!"

See, they loved this thing!

They're totally dominating Mordor, lol.

This HUGE box of fleece from Joann.com.

Look at all of that beautiful fleece!

These are the two that are missing their mates.

Yup, all of that has to be sewn.

I love how the leaves look here.

 Vintage leaves.

 Or rustic leaves, either way.

This is probably my favorite one.

Why are rats so awesome?

It's almost like we saw Evan and Jonah in a new light yesterday. All we wanted to do was play with them and make toys for them... so we did! I mean, why resist and awesome urge like that? I looked at several different sites on how to make homemade toys for pet rats and believe me, there are some awesome ones.

This one was my favorite:

http://www.dapper.com.au/toys.htm

There are several awesome ideas at that site. Some that we tried and some that we're going to try. Like shredding brown paper and shoving it inside a box with a whole cut in it. That's a genius idea! Then all you have to do is sprinkle some treats down in there and you have a den and a foraging toy all in one.

Then there's this site:

http://exoticpets.about.com/od/careofrats/qt/ratstoys.htm

This one gives you some good ideas, but it mostly gives you safety advice and the things you need to make toys. The first one has far better idead, but this one is definitely a good one to have on had.

And like any other post I've done, I have loads of pictures and some really awesome videos to share with you. So be sure to check those out after the jump. They're definitely worth it.

Well. I suppose that's all for now. Not too much else to talk about. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Love & Peace

And now the videos:

For some reason I couldn't get the second video to upload, so I guess I'll have to add that later.

Update:

Finally got the second video added. Enjoy! :)
