A photoshoot and a trip to the hospital...

You remember me saying yesterday that I was doing Megan's senior pictures today? Well I did, but not before taking LaVaughn to the hospital...

LaVaughn went to her doctor a couple weeks ago for an ear infection -- also for having a big lump behind her ear. Her doctor put her on amoxicillin for 10 days and said if that didn't help, she'll need to be seen again.

Well the antibiotics didn't help at all and the lump was still there - another lump also joined the party. She called them today and asked if they could call her in a stronger antibiotic, but the nurse told her that it could be her mastoid and that she needed to go to the ER to get a CT scan.

It didn't take us long to get dressed and head out the door.

My aunt and uncle came not 10 minutes after we got there and stayed the duration of the day. Since I had already made a promise to Megan, I decided that since family was there with LaVaughn, it would be okay if I drove from Farmington to Ironton to do her shoot.

Luckily it wasn't LaVaughn's mastoid, but her lymph nodes instead. They were severely swollen due to a sever ear infection that never cleared up. Around the time they got released from the ER I was finishing up with Megan's pictures. They had to go to the pharmacy to get her meds, which game me time to finish everything up and drop Megan by her house.

They made it to McDonald's to drop LaVaughn off 5 minutes before me, which wasn't bad.

All in all it was a VERY successful day with a great outcome in the end (with LaVaughn). I was super stressed. I've managed to go through some of the 975 pictures of Megan that I took and have a handful of them that I'm going to share. I'll keep most of them private for her, but I must share SOME of them with you all. Until next time...

Here are just a FEW of the pics that I took of Megan today. Not bragging, but I think her senior pics turned out really, really well!

The Maximoff twins...

So I haven't posted since Monday, mainly because I worked Tuesday and literally nothing exciting happened yesterday. Well, I guess you could consider one thing... Like the fact that we got The Witcher 3 yesterday!! It seems like such an awesome game, but unfortunately LaVaughn was terribly sick with her sinus last night, poor dear. Nothing was enjoyable, not even to me. I'm hoping that I get around to playing it tomorrow -- I'm kind of into The Last of Us for some reason.

I also kind of want to go to Poplar Bluff tomorrow, which I've wanted to do for the past two days now. Not sure if we'll do that tomorrow, I kind of have a laundry list of things to do. Clean the drop trays, clean Sookie's cage, vacuum, rake the mulch -- the list goes on an on. I honestly don't know what will take place tomorrow.

I also want to sew, for ourselves and others.

In camera news, my shutter is still screwed up. It does fine for say, 15 pictures, then out of the blue there's an error. It's annoying and it freaks me out. I really, really don't want to have to send it to Nikon, but I also don't want to have to buy a new body. I also don't want it to fuck up when I'm in the middle of a photoshoot. Ugh, my life.

In other, happier news, Charli's joeys detached today -- just a few minutes ago, actually. They're SO adorable and so tiny! We have an extreme ringtail mosaic girl and a very minimally marked mosaic boy. We're naming them Wanda and Pietro. Cute, right? Now it's time for me to go into panic mode and worry about EVERY single thing. It's just what I do... I'm actually trying to work on that.

In other, completely boring news, I took some gorgeous pictures of the salad I had for dinner. We had a huge thing of baby spinach and kale that was going to ruin, so we ha big ass chicken salads with meatless chicken. I felt so posh eating it, lol. But like I said, I got some really nice pictures of it. They would have turned out even better if I had a macro lens. Oh well.

Okay, and I believe I'm going to leave it at that!

Pull 'n Play...

So, believe it or not I'm still unwinding from the 4th. I don't think I want to do such a large gathering next year. Some people were fine, then there are the prudes that are just uncomfortable to be around. All families have those, don't they? I can't be the only one.

In more depressing news, there's something wrong with my cameras shutter. Apparently it's a common issue with DX series camera. Go fucking figure. JUST as I'm potentially starting up my photography -- my life... I don't know if I want to send it to Nikon and have them repair it (I'm out of warranty) or sell it as is on ebay and buy a new body. Decisions decisions.

We went to town today -- it's been nearly 4 days -- and picked up a few things from the store. We also grabbed a pizza from Casey's for dinner. Serious, best pizza ever! The most exciting thing about today was the new Pull n' Play cat toy that Friskies has no. Surprisingly enough, it was a huge hit! Zoe LOVED the string treats, Una liked getting treats out of the toy. Definitely worth the $5 we paid.

And now I leave you with random pictures from today -- and joey pictures from yesterday. Until next time...
