Weekly iPhone Roundup {12.4 - 12.9}

It's been a pretty eventful week to say the least. There's been lots of traveling, gift wrapping and tacking stuff at home. I literally went somewhere every day this week and I hate it. I would literally be happy staying home all the time, which is usually the way it is when we're not Christmas shopping.

Drove home from work/Perryville Monday, made it halfway to Poplar Bluff Tuesday, all the way to Poplar Bluff Wednesday, had to go to Annapolis super late Thursday for wrapping paper and nametags, then back to Annapolis today. Yikes! I mean, I could've had to drive to Cape twice this week, so honestly I'm pretty lucky, but it makes the weeks fly by when you're always doing something or on the go.

Other than the horrible ordeal Tuesday night, earlier that day I set up our new Brightspeed internet. It was supposed to be good to go last week, but after talking to tech support for over an hour, they finally told me to wait until Tuesday. Luckily things went well Tuesday and it only took me like 5 minutes to get set up. So far so good, fingers crossed. It's only 3MB download speeds, but that's better than the .3 that we were getting from HughesNet. At least this is consistent and we're finally able to actually watch some of our streaming services!

With HughesNet we used to be able to watch YouTube with no issues. I mean, we had to pause a lot, but it still worked. We also used to be able to stream Netflix and sometimes Shudder, on the very rare occasion Hulu, but not often. I literally logged into all our streaming services and every one of them played, thank God! Here lately Netflix wouldn't even load up all the way - Hulu wouldn't even open! It's unreal to get to watch stuff now, I love it.

Wednesday when we went shopping we hit up Five Below, Dollar Tree, Petsmart, Marshall's and Walmart. I wouldn't say it was super successful, but we did get a few more things. We're SO far behind this year and it's killing me. Like I'm literally getting so stressed out over it all. We're wanting to come home through Cape Monday and then go to Farmington later next week and hopefully wrap up our Christmas shopping. I'm hoping and praying that's the case.

Christmas present wrapping is like killing my back this year. Like, it legit makes me feel like an old lady, lol. It's probably because I sit like a shrimp all day when I'm watching tv or playing a game. It's really my own fault. Plus I prefer to sit on the floor all day every day, lol.

Anyways, I think that about sums up the week. Hope everyone had a great week!

Saw these guys Sunday in Perryville. They had this interesting truck that appears to be very heavily customized and modified. At least they're in the Christmas spirit with their little hats, lol.

A lighted Christmas ornament lantern my mom made.

Bath & Body Works order that arrived Monday. These are gifts for 4 different people. They had an awesome sale and all their full size scents were like $4.25!

First Christmas present that got wrapped this season!

A Bud Light mug that arrived Monday for my step dad.

All the presents we wrapped Monday.

This picture of the gloomy highway is from our failed trip Tuesday.

You can see how eerie everything looks.

Cloudy, rainy and foggy by the old drive-in.

The fog got considerably worse by the time we went home.

This is the Patterson Church we were broke down next to.

This was from the drive home Wednesday night after got done Christmas shopping. It was super rainy!

Butterbeer barrel with flavored candies inside. This was very much an impulse purchase because LaVaughn and I are both HUGH Potter fans. The candies kinda sucked, but I love the barrel. This was from Five Below, btw.

Still can't believe I found this HUGE bottle of Torani sugar free salted caramel syrup at Marshall's for $6.99! The tiny bottles from Walmart are $5, this is like 4 times as much and Walmart doesn't carry this flavor. Definitely my favorite purchase.

Facebook Messenger video chat with my mom (top left) and LaVaughn (bottom) Wednesday night. I'm obviously the top right.

Max pretending he doesn't see the security camera, lol. It's an easy way to tell he wants inside without hearing him bark first.

Christmas Tree with presents under it, which I adore.

I still wish I had the lights on around the door, dammit.

I love tree pics, but John Redcorn really throws the pictures off, lol. I still love him, though.

Christmas present wrapping Thursday evening.

My travel buddy. Max loves going for rides.

He had his face plastered next to mine just before I snapped this pic, jerk. Sorry for the no makeup face.

Internet blues...

Our internet connectivity has sucked ass lately. We've always has some issues with Centurytel, but it's been 10 times worse lately. On top of the internet problems, we're also having phone issues! People are able to call in (sometimes), but we're not able to call out. How stupid, man! I called them and they said they would send a tech. guy out, but so far - nothing. I suppose I'll have to call them again. *eye roll*

I also have some very upsetting and sad news to share today. My little silkie bantam rooster, Gandalf, died the other day. :( It was so beyond depressing! I've always had a special bond with him for some reason. I hate that I get so attached to animals. I would get through the day some much easier if I just didn't care.

And on that note, here are a few photos of the cats cause you know you love them...

Chick-O-Stick anyone?

Sorry my blogs have been so sucky lately. There's just been a really weird vibe around the house and I haven't had anything good to blog about. Plus, the DSL has been down so I'm having to write the blogs in wordpad and then just back date them when I post. It's rather annoying. And not to mention, we bought Red Dead Redemption a couple days ago and couldn't be happier with it. I highly, highly recommend you get it! You seriously will not be disappointed.

Anyway, not sure if you remember me telling you or not, but Robbie LOVES peanut butter. It sucks though, considering we can't give him as much peanut butter as he'd like. Well, yesterday we had a bag of chick-o-sticks and Robbie decided to run by and help himself to one. We really didn't know what he was eating at the time, so we grabbed him and that's what he had in his mouth. He loves them! LaVaughn held the slimy chick-o-stick for about 20 minutes while he licked and licked until there was nothing else to lick. It was just really cute, And... I managed to get some really awesome pictures and a video of him enjoying his peanut buttery treat. Of course, the photos will be at the bottom, but I'll probably wait on the video.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Until next time, you know where to find me...

I just want to apologise...

For my lack of blogging! Man, there has seriously been nothing exciting to blog about the past week. I mean, I don't even have any good pictures to share with you. I guess I could start my movie reviews back up, but I can't find the list of the ones I haven't done. I guess I'll just keep you updated on the boring stuff that's going on around here until I have something better to blog about and/or until I find that movie list.

Lets see, what's been going on lately? There has been a weird vibe in the house lately. I don't know what it is, but somethings just off. You know what I'm saying? And no, I don't mean I feel a presence or anything, the earth must just be orbiting weird or something, lol. I think even the gliders notice too. For the past two nights, they've been barking non-stop! Ugh, I'll just be glad when it's over.

Oh yeah, even more exciting news, our Internet has been dropping like crazy for the past couple days. It's SO annoying! Man, it's amazing just how much of your life revolves around a damn computer. Sometimes, I just want to toss all the computers in the closet and forget about them. But I'm sure that would drive me mad after a couple days. You can't say it wouldn't be nice, though.

Hmm, what else do I have? Well, on the less boring/creepy more exciting news, I think I'm finally starting to get the piano down a little bit. I finally got all of Fur Elise down. I know, exciting! I can actually play the song front to back without missing a beat! That actually made me proud of myself, lol. Sad isn't it? If I can, I'll try to get a video of me playing. And by me, I mean my hands. Lol, it would just be creepy if I recorded myself playing. I can only image what that would look like.

Speaking of videos, I got a couple (possibly 3) that I would like to share. One is of Milla from a few days ago and the other is of the gliders barking. They're fairly decent videos, so you might enjoy the. I actually think I have the one of the gliders barking on Photobucket. So if you have our user name, then you can just go there and look. And for all you lovely GC members out there, I uploaded the video in a post in Glider Talk & Traveling. But, for all you Blogger readers, I'll try to get it up as soon as I can.

Well, I think I've rambled enough for now. Until the next batch of exciting news, you know where to find me...

It's a Wi-Fi kind of day...

I was ever so pleased today when I walked outside and saw a little brown box setting on the back of the car. In my heart, I knew what it was. Earlier this week, possibly even Sunday, we (LaVaughn and myself) ordered some stuff from Walmart.com with some left over PayPal money. And man am I glad we did.

Our first package, which we got yesterday, was our new HP printer. We already have a Lexmark all in one printer, but it's really messed up and never wants to print anything. Well, we've been out of ink for some time now, so we decided to buy some. After we looked around at different ink prices, we realised that it would be cheaper to just buy a new printer instead of ink for our old one. Anyway, that's what we did and that was our first package.

What we were really excited about, at least me anyway, was our D-Link Wireless Router. Since we're on Xbox Live now, we needed it so we didn't have to continually swap the Ethernet cables back and forth. And we also needed to be connected to the internet on our desktop as well as our Xbox so that we could link up Netflix. But little did we know that not only could we use this bad boy for our Xbox, but we can get Wi-Fi for our laptops! Come on man, how awesome is that! So, as of right now, I'm sitting in the bathroom on my laptop writing a blog. I think I'm dying a little inside, lol.

Well, I think that's all I have for right now, just wanted to share my excitement. Until next time, you know where to find me (possibly the bathroom, lol)...

Cold Update:

Man, this has been a rough one. I haven't been this sick in years! You never really know how good you actually feel until you're sick. I'm not trying to jinx myself, but I think I might be kicking this thing. For the past two mornings, I haven't woke up with a completely snot filled nose, so yay. And it seems like my coughing spells are getting smaller, at least I hope. The one thing that's been getting me is the horrendous cough that I get when I go to sleep. But thankfully, it only happened for a short period of time last night. Am I saying I'm completely better, no. I'm coughing as we speak. But I do think I see some light at the end of the tunnel.

This is a really bad shot of our new printer, but it's the only one that I had. I'll try to get a better one later on.

And here is our beyond awesome wireless router. I don't think I could love a piece of plastic more, lol.
