Internet blues...

Our internet connectivity has sucked ass lately. We've always has some issues with Centurytel, but it's been 10 times worse lately. On top of the internet problems, we're also having phone issues! People are able to call in (sometimes), but we're not able to call out. How stupid, man! I called them and they said they would send a tech. guy out, but so far - nothing. I suppose I'll have to call them again. *eye roll*

I also have some very upsetting and sad news to share today. My little silkie bantam rooster, Gandalf, died the other day. :( It was so beyond depressing! I've always had a special bond with him for some reason. I hate that I get so attached to animals. I would get through the day some much easier if I just didn't care.

And on that note, here are a few photos of the cats cause you know you love them...

Well hello October...

Ah, my favorite month of the year has finally arrived! Not only does October have my favorite holiday, but it's host to my favorite time of year as well - fall! Nothing makes me happier than the sounds of leaves rustling and crows crowing. It takes me to a place that I know and love.

Anyway, I managed to nab a few random pictures from today (and a few from last night) and thought I would share them. Hope you enjoy...

Here are the photos:

Serafina rummaging for some snacks.

Duck butt!

This would be one of the brown and white speckled hens giving me the stank eye, lol.

Gandalf, my love.

All the leaves are brown!

Love the reflecting light here.

Precious baby Odin.

Isn't he just the cutest?

He's also a shy boy.

Peeking sugar glider!

How about we go with cutest sugar glider joey in the world!

Now I'm squeezing him. It wasn't as hard as it looks, I promise. ;)

More randomness for the sake of randomness...

Again, I have nothing of importance to blog about. Just a few photos to share from last night and today. I'll try to make myself blog about something entertaining in the next few days, I promise...

I don't believe I've introduced you, but this is out cat, Warren.

And this would be, Bart. If you haven't chimed in yet, he has a split personality.

 Moon through the trees!

Love the halo around the moon.

Another shot of the halo around the moon.

 Our beautiful yard.

And my beautiful, Gandalf.
Look at this old and awesome mood type ring! Love it!

So many pouches, so little time...

We took it upon ourselves to sew up a lot of scrap fleece today and make ourselves some extra cage pouches. I was actually shocked when I saw how many different pouches we were going to get. And no two are alike! When it was all said and done, we ended up with 12 new pouches!! Awesome, right? We're also planing on making a few Glider Buckets tomorrow.

Aside from that, we also managed to cut out a couple cage sets that we owe someone AND even managed to get a couple recent pictures of the baby chick that was hatched out. We've also given that little chick a name... Ash. We don't know if said chicken is a he or a she, so Ash would work either way.

Well, I suppose that's all for now. Time to go make myself useful or something...

Here are the photos:

Just think, this big wad of fleece will soon be awesome little cage pouches.

Our stack of freshly cut pouches.

Another shot. Just look at all the colors! :)

These are the two cage sets we cut.

And finally... the finished cage pouches! Aren't they beautiful?

And here's Ash, our not so baby chick.

As he/she got older, it became very clear to us that this chick is a product of a silkie bantam x buttercup.

Look at those pretty eyes!

She's still pretty small and probably wont get a lot larger.

Chicken stink eye, lol.

A nice little shot of Gandalf.

And lastly... some HPW for the gliders! :)

Cage sets, chicken and cats - Oh my!

There actually wasn't too much going on today. LaVaughn and I decided to sew up some of our cage sets, but that's about it. You wont have to strain your brain with reading on this blog - it's mainly about photos. So sit back and enjoy!

Song of the day: Iron Man by Black Sabbath

Here are the pics:

The 80s style cage set.

The rainbow cage set.

The reverse colors of the rainbow cage set.

Big, pregnant Susie crawling out of the car. Mark my words, she will have her kittens in there.

A nice, creepy bug that landed on my shoulder.

The flock:

Gandalf is always lagging behind.

I think Serafina wants to be a chicken.

The turkeys.

The beautiful sky at sunset.

This reminds me so much of an 80s picture.

Crazy eyed Esther.

A tiny flower vase.

Crazy eyed Milla.

Bonus Gallery!

It's been months since the cats have had a bath - so last night, we decided to give them one. As you can tell from the pictures below, none were very happy.

Tiny Luda was the first one to get a bath.

Zoe was the last, but surprisingly the easiest.

Bart didn't want to move from the towel.

And the most difficult to bathe... Una.
