Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends...

You remember the deal with the True Platinum Mosaic boy, Rigel? Well apparently Tracy's buyer went south... fast! She messaged me about her and said that she kept changing her mind and arrangements and that it wasn't going to work out. She finished with a, "He's supposed to be yours." Made my day, but also made me sad that Tracy wont get the money she was wanting for him.

Have I mentioned that Rigel's new name will be Castiel? I'll probably only refer to him as Cas, or Castiel from now on. And yes, that's a side effect of watching TOO much Supernatural!

The girl that was going to get Rigel... excuse me, the girl that was going to get CAS caused a huge uproar in the glider community. She posted in one of the sugar glider groups on Facebook about breeding her unlineaged Albino het. Big NO NO! Breeding an unlineaged Albino is like trying to justify marriage to your 1st cousin. It's just not right and shouldn't happen! There's only one Albino line after all, so no matter what, all Albinos and Albino hets are related.

I actually think she was asking to purchase a glider to pair with hers, but whatever. Several people joined in the conversation and it just spiraled downward from there. She even got her breeder to come join in on all that fun. Man is she something else! I kept my eyes glued to the computer screen for 2 hours waiting on someone new to post something. It's like watching a new Die Hard movie, you never know what's going to happen!

The drama in the glider community never ends.

I'm rarely ever on any of the glider forums anymore mainly because of this kind of stuff. There's always someone out there just waiting for someone to screw up. Especially new people! That's like dropping a virgin into a prison full of death row inmates!

Okay, I'm done with glider talk for now.

Believe it or not, we STILL don't have those damn sets sewn up! We got 90% of one set sewn, but it's still not completely finished. When I woke up today, I had full intentions of sewing, but that thought slowly dwindled after I got some coffee in me. It's like coffee mellows me out instead of pumping me up. It's weird.

I did get that new square hammock sewn up yesterday and took pictures of it today. It actually turned out pretty awesome, but man is it a bitch to sew! It's made up of 4 fringe vines, so keeping those nice and straight inside the square hammock is a daunting task. Those gliders better like it!

Unfortunately, the sets still wont be sewn up tomorrow either. LaVaughn and my aunt both have to go back to the dentist for touch ups or something. And you guessed it, I'm the lucky dame that gets to drive them there and back again. It's a good thing a stop at the pet store is in order. They're open on Wednesdays!

Oh my God, I can't believe I forgot to mention this! That fucking dick head dog, Carly, killed my precious Serafina today... :( I'm at the point now where I want to just drown the damn dog in the lake. She's killed so many chickens and ducks, it's not even right. The thought of it makes me sick to my stomach and I just want to strangle her to death.

And now I'm done...

Love & Peace

Here are the photos of the Platform that I'm working on:

Not too shabby, eh?

Free at last...

Today was the first day in months that the fowl have been able to leave their pin and roam the yard. I don't believe I ever wrote about it, but the demon dog next door (Carly) killed 65% of District 9's inhabitants. I'm not going to rehash about what happened, so take my word that it was awful, disgusting and range inducing. I love animals more than anyone, but if I could have got my hands on that dog, I would have strangled her to death!

Okay, so not going there! The chickens, ducks and turkey all had so much fun today. They ran around eating bugs and grass, it was so nice to see. I wanted to stay outside for an hour and take photos of them, but decided that just a few would be okay and let them be. I definitely didn't want to ruin their first day out by chasing them around the yard with a camera, lol.

Song of the day: Lonely Is The Night by Billy Squire  (so what, I have a song of the day again!)

 He loves being out.

Just look at Mr. Friendly's pretty face!

Camille's such a looker -- and super good bug catcher. :)

She's also very stunning to look at.

Harley, being is pretty duckie self.

And there's Miss Serafina next to him.

That would be Maggie May in front of Camille.

And lastly, our sugar glider girls: Violet (top) and Chloe (bottom).

Early December Musings...

I don't know about the rest of the people in the Midwest, but it most definitely doesn't feel like December! When I stepped outside a little bit ago, I could have swore it was March! The temperature outside right now is in the mid 60s and perfect! There's a slight breeze that wisps through your hair every little bit and makes you feel like a spring shower will soon follow.  Perhaps a cold front wont be far behind. Or perhaps it's  sign of impending doom!! That's for those of you that believe the world is going to end on the 21st of this month. That's also the day after my birthday - fun!

Since I finally got caught up on my blogging and stopped visiting GC so much, I actually made time to go outside and take some photos! Yes, outside photos! I must warn you, they're extremely boring! After fall and early winter kills all the flowers and trees - it leaves me with nearly nothing to photograph. Even all the bugs and insects are in hiding! I still managed to get a few good ones, though.

Aside from that, I also stopped in at District 9 and nabbed a few shots of the new additions, Carter and Harley. Of course, I got a picture of everyone else as well. Since we're down to so few chickens, it wasn't hard. Hopefully our numbers will grow in 17 days.

Alright kiddies, I believe that's all for now. I just got the message from my aunt that I need to stop by and help my uncle with his new laptop and Verizon 4G LTE Modem -  this should be a blast!

Love & Peace

And now for my photography seen around the yard!

A fallen feather from wars past...

A burr bush - ouch!!

Vibrant green leaves.

Decayed flower.

I like to call this the Post-Apocalyptic flower!

I think this is one of the only living flowers in the whole yard!

Spikes and concrete.

The vintage Primestar box! Never even knew this was on the side of the house.

Happy Turkey Day!

It's not really Turkey Day in our house - we had that days ago, but we decided to go ahead and have a mini feast anyway. Instead of turkey as a main dish, we're having ham and beans! We're also having cornbread and fried potatoes. Not your average modern day meal, but definitely a good one! It's not even the food that matters on days like this, it's being together with your family that makes a difference. I would have been happy if we were just eating ramen!

Aside from that, I also managed to get some photos and a short video of our new duck and some of our chickens. Our chicken coop really looks sparse anymore. I miss so many little faces that I'm used to seeing. Be sure to check those and all the other photos out after the bump.

Love, Peace & Happy Thanksgiving!
