Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends...

You remember the deal with the True Platinum Mosaic boy, Rigel? Well apparently Tracy's buyer went south... fast! She messaged me about her and said that she kept changing her mind and arrangements and that it wasn't going to work out. She finished with a, "He's supposed to be yours." Made my day, but also made me sad that Tracy wont get the money she was wanting for him.

Have I mentioned that Rigel's new name will be Castiel? I'll probably only refer to him as Cas, or Castiel from now on. And yes, that's a side effect of watching TOO much Supernatural!

The girl that was going to get Rigel... excuse me, the girl that was going to get CAS caused a huge uproar in the glider community. She posted in one of the sugar glider groups on Facebook about breeding her unlineaged Albino het. Big NO NO! Breeding an unlineaged Albino is like trying to justify marriage to your 1st cousin. It's just not right and shouldn't happen! There's only one Albino line after all, so no matter what, all Albinos and Albino hets are related.

I actually think she was asking to purchase a glider to pair with hers, but whatever. Several people joined in the conversation and it just spiraled downward from there. She even got her breeder to come join in on all that fun. Man is she something else! I kept my eyes glued to the computer screen for 2 hours waiting on someone new to post something. It's like watching a new Die Hard movie, you never know what's going to happen!

The drama in the glider community never ends.

I'm rarely ever on any of the glider forums anymore mainly because of this kind of stuff. There's always someone out there just waiting for someone to screw up. Especially new people! That's like dropping a virgin into a prison full of death row inmates!

Okay, I'm done with glider talk for now.

Believe it or not, we STILL don't have those damn sets sewn up! We got 90% of one set sewn, but it's still not completely finished. When I woke up today, I had full intentions of sewing, but that thought slowly dwindled after I got some coffee in me. It's like coffee mellows me out instead of pumping me up. It's weird.

I did get that new square hammock sewn up yesterday and took pictures of it today. It actually turned out pretty awesome, but man is it a bitch to sew! It's made up of 4 fringe vines, so keeping those nice and straight inside the square hammock is a daunting task. Those gliders better like it!

Unfortunately, the sets still wont be sewn up tomorrow either. LaVaughn and my aunt both have to go back to the dentist for touch ups or something. And you guessed it, I'm the lucky dame that gets to drive them there and back again. It's a good thing a stop at the pet store is in order. They're open on Wednesdays!

Oh my God, I can't believe I forgot to mention this! That fucking dick head dog, Carly, killed my precious Serafina today... :( I'm at the point now where I want to just drown the damn dog in the lake. She's killed so many chickens and ducks, it's not even right. The thought of it makes me sick to my stomach and I just want to strangle her to death.

And now I'm done...

Here are the photos of the Platform that I'm working on:

Not too shabby, eh?

Behind blue eyes...

I made a very unfortunate discovery yesterday. Sadie - the glider that cannibalized her older joey - pulled her tiny little joey and ate him! I'm beyond frustrated with her and can barely look at her. I know that's very childish, but it's also very frustrating and just awful!

I don't know what's wrong with her. Noting, and I mean absolutely nothing, is different in her life. There's nothing new in the glider room - all the gliders, cages, lighting, smells, warmth, noises - they're all the same. I use the same laundry detergent, I haven't added any new animals to the house since December and she has more food than she knows what to do with. She's been pigging out on mealies and yoggies for two weeks now, so I know she's not hungry.

I'm stumped.

I've wracked my brain trying to find something, but I can't. I'm worried that it's something LaVaughn and I are doing, but I just don't think that's the case.

Sadie and Pip were mating on the 6th of this month - unfortunately, I witnessed this -, so she should have joeys IP on or around the 21st. If she has these joeys and ends up pulling them, Pip is getting neutered - hands down. If she pulls the next set, she obviously doesn't want to be a mom anymore.

In other, less depressing news, we finally started chopping up some of the fleece we ordered from Joann. Well, we did more than chop - we got that girls entire set cut, sewn and shipped yesterday. Go us! We also cut the fleece for ourselves. I believe we ended up getting 7 pieces for each cage!

I'm trying something new with the square hammocks. After I sew it up and evaluate it, I'll write about it. I would go into details, but I don't want to jinx myself.

I got another set cut out all by myself today. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it or not, but I'm terrible at cutting. By the time I'm done with something, it looks like I've added intentional waves to the fabric. It's actually really pathetic - I can't cut a straight line! LaVaughn has to come through and trim things for me. Usually only long things, like bridges and buckets.

But yeah, I cut out and entire 6 piece set, all by my lonesome. I'm a proud piper.

Believe it or not, Tracy actually has someone that's interested in Rigel! I'm a tad on the upset side, but I'm also happy for her. Who wouldn't prefer money over another glider? Well, I would probably prefer another glider, lol. But yeah, if this deal goes through, I guess we're not getting Rigel. She did say we would get a Platinum Mosaic from her, regardless. I guess it's a win win.

In other glider news, I've been talking with Annette for the past couple days and she had two new pairs set up that will have leus and 100% leu het mosaics. One of which we'll be getting. I made some virtual joeys last night and joeys from both pairs are compatible with Chloe. So excited! I'm not sure if I would prefer a mosaic 100% het, or a leu. I guess we'll have to wait and see what they have. :)

Here's the 6 piece owl cage set. Not too bad, eh? :)

Kira is such a chubby, cute sugar glider.

 "Mm, that was good. Another!"

Kira loves her mealworms.

And then feels guilty for eating so many.

Pretty little Chloe on her corner hammock.

Platinum sugar gliders are the cutest!

Bart, stretching his legs. He's such a weirdo.

Down with the sickness... (80+ pictures included)

I woke up with nothing but glider on the mind today. I dreamed about gliders and woke up wanting to see the gliders. I also had several fantasies - some of which I ought not discuss - and scenarios playing out in my head.

The platinum mosaic that we're (possibly) getting from Tracy was one of those things. LaVaughn and I talked about a lot of different things about him and thought that we should ask Tracy if she had any paying customers for Rigel. I never thought to mention that if she does have a buyer -- she's asking $2500 for him --  to go ahead and sell him and we'll get another joey from her. I'm still waiting on a response, so we shall see.

I was also thinking a lot about Kira and Logan's next joeys and how much I would love to keep one of their mosaics. I'm really hoping they have a couple standards for a girl that's waiting on them, but I also hope they have a couple mosaics. If we do end up getting Rigel, Tracy is getting one and more than likely, we'd keep the other. Ugh, waiting on joeys is so torturous sometimes.

It doesn't help that I had a dream about the coolest ringtail last night! I wanted that little guy SO bad!

I wish Sadie's next joey would be a leu for Taylor. She wants one SO bad, but can't find anyone close that has one. That's one of the main reasons I'd like to put Chloe with a leu - then we'll get leus and plats on a regular basis.

That's one thing I absolutely don't want to do - get gliders just because. "Oh, well I don't have one of that color, I'm going to get him!" I hate that. I only want gliders that stand out, gliders that I know are meant to be mine. When people get gliders just because, they end up getting in WAY over their head.

Okay, I think I'm done talking for now. Here are some pictures of all the gliders. I must warn you, there's a LOT!
