Back in the Day - Part 1

LaVaughn and myself were browsing through some old photo CDs a couple days ago when we came across Milla's puppy photos. And since I didn't have my blog back in 06' when we got her, I never got to share her cuteness with you all. Now I must warn you, the pictures we're taken with our old Kodak camera that had little to no macro on it, so they're pretty blurry. But that doesn't mean that they're not awesome. And also, there's like 50 some odd pictures, so I might do this in sections. ;)

Anyway, I guess that's all for now. Oh yeah, for all you Degrassi fans out there, don't forget about the premiere tonight! Peace...

Song of the day: Imagine by John Lennon

These photos were taken not too long after we got her. I'm thinking maybe a day or two.

Seriously, wasn't she adorable?

It's a Wi-Fi kind of day...

I was ever so pleased today when I walked outside and saw a little brown box setting on the back of the car. In my heart, I knew what it was. Earlier this week, possibly even Sunday, we (LaVaughn and myself) ordered some stuff from Walmart.com with some left over PayPal money. And man am I glad we did.

Our first package, which we got yesterday, was our new HP printer. We already have a Lexmark all in one printer, but it's really messed up and never wants to print anything. Well, we've been out of ink for some time now, so we decided to buy some. After we looked around at different ink prices, we realised that it would be cheaper to just buy a new printer instead of ink for our old one. Anyway, that's what we did and that was our first package.

What we were really excited about, at least me anyway, was our D-Link Wireless Router. Since we're on Xbox Live now, we needed it so we didn't have to continually swap the Ethernet cables back and forth. And we also needed to be connected to the internet on our desktop as well as our Xbox so that we could link up Netflix. But little did we know that not only could we use this bad boy for our Xbox, but we can get Wi-Fi for our laptops! Come on man, how awesome is that! So, as of right now, I'm sitting in the bathroom on my laptop writing a blog. I think I'm dying a little inside, lol.

Well, I think that's all I have for right now, just wanted to share my excitement. Until next time, you know where to find me (possibly the bathroom, lol)...

Cold Update:

Man, this has been a rough one. I haven't been this sick in years! You never really know how good you actually feel until you're sick. I'm not trying to jinx myself, but I think I might be kicking this thing. For the past two mornings, I haven't woke up with a completely snot filled nose, so yay. And it seems like my coughing spells are getting smaller, at least I hope. The one thing that's been getting me is the horrendous cough that I get when I go to sleep. But thankfully, it only happened for a short period of time last night. Am I saying I'm completely better, no. I'm coughing as we speak. But I do think I see some light at the end of the tunnel.

This is a really bad shot of our new printer, but it's the only one that I had. I'll try to get a better one later on.

And here is our beyond awesome wireless router. I don't think I could love a piece of plastic more, lol.

Are you ready?

Well, as I stated in a previous blog, I'm thinking about starting my movie reviews back up. Then I was thinking, why not start now? So, prepare yourself. First on the chopping block is:

Whiteout

I'm sure a lot of you have already seen this, if not for the thrill of watching a horror movie, for Kate Beckinsale, lol. Come on, even for a chick, she's a hottie. It's mainly about her and a team of scientists that are there exploring all sorts of shit. I'm a little iffy on it all, it's been forever since I've seen it. All in all, it's a pretty good movie. Not your average thriller, it one wont keep you on your toes or anything, but it's ok.

Rating: 6.5/10

Saw VI

This was by far the best of the new Saw movies. They've pretty much stopped grabbing my attention since Saw III. Anyway, this has the dude from the 5th installment of the films (not sure of his name right now) and he's pretty awesome. Way better then some of the other people they've had in the front row. I have to say, seeing Eddie from Family Matters really freaked me out. I wasn't the same after that. But, don't let that stop you from watching, it's pretty cool.

Rating: 7.5/10

Pandorum

I'm going to go ahead and say it, the only reason we rented this was for Ben Foster. Not once did this movie grab my attention. I've never really been a big Sci Fi freak. The movie of that type that I actually remember enjoying was Pitch Black. Anyway, this movie is about these guys that are trapped under water in a space ship of some kind with some trick ass aliens running around. Not too many scares to be found in this one, just your average alien flick. I mean, I've seen worse, but I've also seen a whole lot better.

Rating: 6/10 <-- That's mainly because of Ben Foster

Zombieland

Oh man, where do I start. As I'm sure you all know, we're massive zombie lovers. But when you pair Woody Harrelson, a shotgun and zombies, you have a recipe for awesomeness. Not only was this movie hysterical, it was pretty creepy too. The zombies looked awesome and they weren't stingy on the blood. One of the best zombie flicks since Dawn Of The Dead.

Rating: 8.5/10

The Stepfather

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how this movie will be. If you've seen the original, then you've seen this one. They just switched the leads up a bit. Anyway, I actually like the lead in this movie, Dylan Walsh is pretty cool. But he didn't bring to the table what Terry O'Quinn did 20+ years ago. Am I saying this is a bad movie, no way. Am I saying this is one of the best movies, no again. But it is something that you can just watch and not have to follow.

Rating: 7/10

Law Abiding Citizen

We rented this movie in hopes of seeing Gerard Butler at his best (ie; 300), but man we're we let down. Not only is the plot out of this world insane, the acting isn't the best. I don't know what's up with it, maybe they just had a small budget. Anyway, that's beside the point. The point is, don't rent this movie and think that you're going to get an non stop action flick, cause you're not. I think I would rather watch Twilight.

Rating: 4/10

Alright kiddies, I believe that's all I have in me today. It's been forever since I've wrote reviews, so be patient with me while I get back into the flow of things.

Until next time, you know where to find me...

An ER type day...

Hello again kiddies. Just when you think you're over your cold, it sneaks up and bites you in the ass. Today when I got up, I started hacking and hacking. At one point, I thought I was going to choke to death... no joke. So, after about 20 minutes of arguing with myself, I decided to head to the ER. So LaVaugh and myself both showered (not at the same time, lol) and went on our way.

When we got to the hospital in Fredericktown, we lucked out cause there was no one there. Well, there was an old couple arguing with one of the receptionists about Medicaid cards or something, but they left like 5 minutes after we got there. Anyway, I signed myself in and we headed for the waiting room. We only had to sit for about 5 more minutes before an old ass man called me back. When we got back there, they (two old ass nurses) checked my vitals, asked what was wrong and then left. It wasn't too much longer until the creepy ass doctor came in. He did the usual check of ears, throat and lungs. Then he asked me to lay on my back. I did and then he grabbed my right leg and pulled it up. Didn't say anything, then he grabbed my left leg and did the same. During this time, LaVaughn was dying laughing in the background. No clue why he did that and I still have no clue, lol. Then he stepped back and was reading my shirt. It my Grateful Dead shirt and it's kind of hard to read. I looked down at it and then looked at him. Then he was like, "I'm just looking at your shirt." I knew that much, but as the sessions went on, he just kept eyeballing my shirt. Ugh, he was such a creep. Then he went on about how he could run this test and that test, but that would just run the bill up. I just nodded accordingly. After about 5 minutes of him blabbing about In Home Care and how there are more elderly people in small towns that need it, he finally wrote me a prescription and left. Oh what a day, lol.

After that, we had to run over to Walmart to drop off my prescription. The lady at the pharmacy said it would be about 45 minutes, so then we had to wait. We walked down a couple isles and then decided to go ahead and grocery shop while we were there. I'm glad we did too, cause that made the 45 minutes fly by.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Just wanted to share my fun and exciting day. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Love & Peace

Song of the day:  Dr. Feelgood by Motley Crue

My Z-Pack that I was prescribed. Can you believe it's $30 for only 6 pills? It's insane.

And he also told me to take this along with it. I've been taking this all week.

Yeah, there are just some Bunchkins (aka; table grapes). I've never even heard of these before. Oh man, the gliders look SO cute eating them! If I can, I'll get some video of them.

A close up of them.

Bonus Gallery:

These pictures were taken between the 1st and 2nd. I just haven't really felt like uploading them lately, so I thought I would do so today. Hope you enjoy...  :)

There are some dried flowers that we've had setting around the house. I put them in an old wine holder and decided to take a few pics of them. Not my best work, but pretty cool.

This is pretty cool. I make a make shift studio and decided to take pictures of everything on it.

 Boring, but pretty.

There are some awesome smelling candles that aunty Sharon gave us.

Here's Willard. Look at how big he's getting. Ugh, he's too cute.

And here's Willa. She, too, is getting bigger and is very pretty. Oh yeah, their eyes are also open.

I'm still here...

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I am in fact, still here. I've got you all spoiled on daily blogs, lol. I've just been slowly recovering from a horrendous cold. I think I'm 5 days in now. It started out as a tickle in my throat, then it got progressively worse. After that, it turned in to a HORRID sore throat then to runny/stuffy nose. And now, it's the dreaded cough! I've been doping myself up for almost a week now, so hopefully some light will start to shine through.

Anyway, what I wanted to come here and tell you about, we've got yet another gamertag. We realised that we each needed an Xbox Live account to use our headsets and have our own names. So now, I'm Madame Magenta and LaVaughn is still Machete Girls. We're in the process of changing girls to girl, lol. So, if you're an Xbox Live fan and like to play Left 4 Dead 1 and/or 2, come join us.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Oh yeah, I'm not sure, but I think I might start my movie reviews back up. I've got LOADS that I haven't done, so keep your finders crossed for me. Until next time, you know where to find me (the pharmacy, lol)...

Love & Peace
