Rat snacks and a fond farewell...

Well yesterday was an eventful day. We finally mustered up enough courage to re-home our lovebirds and, wait for it... their 3 new BABIES! I know I never blogged about it, but I didn't want to say anything because we had already planned on getting rid of them so it just saved a lot of typing that would eventually be for nothing. The babies were over a month old, so they were big! There was 2 pied and 1 green. They were cute, but we never handled them.

I had been talking to a lady about them for the past couple weeks. She seemed fairly normal, so I finally agreed to meet her around 4:30 yesterday in Park Hills. Well I was planing on going alone, but I stopped by my aunts before I left and she said she'd ride up with me, which was cool. Long story short, my aunt and I met the lady and she took the birds. It's kind of sad, but I think it will pass. And hey, there are 5 less birds in the house now.

In happier news... yesterday was also spoil your rats with loads of food day, so we did just that. We had some left over fish sticks in the fridge and some mashed potatoes from dinner, so that paired with lots and lots of peas makes for a stellar rat snack. You can tell from the pictures below that they didn't mind one bit!

Well, I suppose that's all for now. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Song of the day: The Gambler by Kenny Rogers

Here are some pics from a couple days ago:

This is one of many "peep holes" in their hut, lol.

It's a tad on the dilapidated side.

Oy vey, why much rats chew so much?

As you can see, Evan really wanted out.

 "Pretty please?"

"Look at my cute little face, how can you say no?"

 Jonah, scowling in the corner.

Mean rat alert! He's really. A rapist, but sweet all the same, lol.

Charlie doing what he does best... sleeping and airing out his balls.

 What a bum, lol.

Now for the pics from yesterday:

 See their glorious meal...

 Jonah was definitely loving it.

Evan, not so much. He wanted out more than anything.

"Yes Evan, stay over there so I can have all the peas to myself."

Evan decided food was more important than getting out.

So important that he had to stand in the food, lol.

Jonah always looks so mean! Even when he's being innocent and eating...

 Evan is such a ham.

Time for some rat rape, lol.

 "What did you call me?"

"I know you didn't call me a rapist!"

Then Evan plasters himself to the door as soon as I close it.

Another shot of their even more dilapidated hut.

 It's completely hideous now.

I think it's time for a new one, lol.

The joys of mail and rental stores...

I want to start with a great big thank you to the ever so awesome, Karen of GC! I mentioned something about wanting some plastic bracelets for the gliders and she said she would send me some, free of charge. This was over a week ago and had slipped my mind since then. Well I remembered as soon as I looked at the mail. She sent loads of bracelets, some plastic links and some adorable little finger puppets! I can't stress enough about how sweet she is. :)

And to top the day off, I completed out last and FINAL payment for our air conditioner. I think this is the first time I've actually rented something. So I guess it's a good thing that I rented something and paid it off, lol. They also gave me this little token that will take $25 off my next first payment, so that's awesome. Now that I'm thinking of it, I sure could use a new stove.

Well, I suppose that's all for now. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Movie of the day: The Loved Ones

Here's a picture of the awesomeness that Karen sent:

And the $25 discount button thing:

The mosaic joeys are finally OOP!!

Yes, it's true! Kira and Logan's twin mosaic boys have finally decided to come OOP and grace us with their beautiful presence! They actually came OOP last night, but I didn't feeling like blogging then, so I decided to wait until today.

Here is mosaic boy #1 who we've decided to name, Smeagol:

Here's mosaic boy #2 who we've decided to name, Deagol:

Aren't they gorgeous!! It's so exciting to finally have mosaics with color! Well, more of a lack there of. Anyway, they're just too precious for words. It's seriously going to be hard to part with Deagol. I wish someone would put a deposit down on him before I get any further attached.

Oy vey, I suppose that's all for now. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Cats and rats...

This post doesn't actually have anything to do with rats, but since I actually have a picture of Evan to share, I thought it would be fitting.

I was looking through my blogger folder to see what all pictures I had to share and all but one was of cats. A couple of ours and a couple of our neighbors. Either way, this blog is mainly going to be about cat pictures. And I'm going to apologize ahead of time for the odd feeling that has come over you and for how creepy this blog actually is.

Ugh, I guess that's all, sorry so creepy. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Song of the day: Cat Scratch Fever by Ted Nugent (seems fitting, eh?)

Here are the pics:

 Demon eyes.

This is the position Charlie stays in the entire time he's inside.

 Susie, being gorgeous.

 Charlie, being a flirt.

Just look at all of that cuteness!

I believe this is a spider web with some horse hair mixed in. I really don't know...

My fat rat, Evan, sleeping on his face.
The girls, being bums...

And now for the sugar glider video that may save this blog!
