Five on Friday...

So... I've noticed that this is a popular thing to do on blogs nowadays. I'm honestly not sure how it works, so this is probably going to be really stupid. So in lieu of how the other Five on Friday's go, I'm just going to do my own thing.

Here are 5 things that are standing out to me as of now.

5. Okay, I'll start out with number 5, obviously. One thing that is eating away at me is how behind on TV shows I am. LaVaughn and I did so good the first week all our favorite shows came on. Well, we did semi good I guess. We watched The Walking Dead and American Horror Story: Freakshow, leaving Supernatural nowhere to be seen. Neither of us had any idea that Once Upon A Time was on, so that doesn't really count. As of now, we're still up to date on The Walking Dead, but that's it. I would really love to get everything watched before next weeks new episodes.

4. Next Thursday feels like an impending doom. I have to drive my aunt to Cape to have some type of test done on her back. It's at 10:00... in the morning! Cape is almost a 2 hour drive from me, so that means we're going to have to leave before 8, meaning I'm going to have to be up at 7. It's not that I mind taking her -- that's not even an issues -- I am just not a morning person, at all. I get super anxious at the thought of going to bed early. I know, I'm a freak with weird anxiety issues.

3. The other thing that's been a constant for me is The Evil Within. I think about it constantly! When I get up, while I'm doing basically anything during the day, while I'm at work, and before I go t bed. I'm obsessed! I'm getting so close I can taste it! I'm FINALLY done with chapter 10, I just beat that a little while ago, I've been hung up on the boss fight for 2 days now. There are only 15 chapters in the game, so I'm almost there!

2. Another added stress is the arrival of Christmas! There's still so much to buy -- actually there's everything to buy, neither LaVaughn nor myself have bought anything! In our defense, we've been waiting on Christmas items to come out and the arrival of Black Friday deals. I want to get good gifts this year, but I also want to get good deals, so I think waiting until mid to late November is a safe bet when it comes to buying gifts.

1. The #1 thing on my mind right now is our rats. Sally and Melissa in particular, but mainly Sally. Melissa has a small/medium sized mammary tumor that will need to be removed soon, but it's her breathing that's worrying us. She breathes really, really fast all the time. I think a check-up is more than in order.  Sally, on the other hand, doesn't seem to be doing so well. She's very disoriented, or dizzy like. She stumbles a lot, falls, and drunk walks. I think it's an inner ear infections due to the reoccurring abscess she has on her face. Her bottom jaw is also distorted a bit, it's like out of line. This worries be a great deal, considering this is one of the side effects of a ZGT. I just hope it's nothing and I'm over worrying. We'll know more Monday when we go to the vet.

Well there you have it kids, that's my Five on Friday. Very lame and very, very weird. Not sure that this will be something I ever do again. But hey, I tried it.

Love & Peace

I love the colors of fall.

So many buckeyes!!

My Saturday night...

It's very, very rare that I have Saturday's off -- I actually can't remember the last time I had a Saturday off -- so I'm taking full advantage of this. I'm going to try and clean as much as I can, even though I just cleaned Thursday (rat cage, drop trays, vacuumed), but a house can never be too clean, right? I need to vacuum the glider room terribly and change out all the cage sets.

I'm hoping to accomplish that and a few other things as well, like laundry and dishes, but that shouldn't be too complicated.

After LaVaughn and I feed the cats, dog, gliders, baby mouse, and shut the chickens up, movie night is in full swing! I'm talking non-stop moving watching, dinner in front of the TV type of day.

Since we've watched the new episode of American Horror Story: Freakshow -- which was awesome beyond words -- and missed the first episode of Supernatural, we're probably going to start out with it, because I definitely don't want to get behind on Supernatural episodes. The world as we know it may very well come to an end!

As far as movies go, I FINALLY found a copy of 7500, which is first up on our movie lineup. It's about a supernatural force on an airplane. Hopefully it's as good as the previews look. Next up will be Deliver Us From Evil, which we've both been DYING to see! Can't wait for that! Then we have The Purge: Anarchy and See No Evil 2... who know, right? After all, I haven't seen one scrap of a preview for that movie.

So there you have it, those 3 (hopefully) awesome movies! I hope we're able to watch -- and enjoy -- them all before the night is over.

Of course, we'll be taking care of Titus (our little mouse) in between takes. He's doing pretty good, I don't want to say great because he still isn't eating willingly. LaVaughn is able to stimulate him better than me, I can only seem to get him to pee on occasion, whereas she can get him to poop like crazy (knock wood). I just hope the little guy makes it... it'll break my heart if he doesn't.

Speaking of baby things, I'm pretty sure we're going to be down 3 joeys next weekend. Petra, Avery, and Harper are all eating well enough on their own to go to their new mama's, especially Petra. I think we're going to meet up with Cindy and she's just going to deliver everyone for us, cause she's so incredibly nice... I love her. I guess we'll see how things go this coming week.

So, we finally got Laci's cage sets and pouches done. I don't think it's ever taken us so long to get something finished and out the door. We paid for shipping, 2 day shipping so she should get them Tuesday. I STILL can't believe we were able to smash them in a large flat rate box! When we were in the process, I didn't think they would fit. I'll post a picture below to show you just how much went into that box. Now I just hope the mail lady takes it! She's normally pretty good at that.

Well, I suppose that's all for now. If I want to accomplish everything I've set out to accomplish, I need to start now. Until next time...

We were able to smash all of this...

Into this...

Yes, we're awesome.

The wind of winter...

For you Game of Thrones connoisseurs out there, I'm sure you'll get that title in a heartbeat! Unfortunately, I can't, myself, relate to the novels as much. I can, however, tell you anything you need to know about the first two seasons of the show, both of which LaVaughn and I watched in a little under a week. Actually, we're a few episodes into the 3rd season as well.

After we finished American Horror Story (minus half of season 3), we decided it was time for something new. We both love GOT type shows and movies, so I thought it would be a hit, which it was.

It's a very touchy show to say the least. I get pissed off easily and really honestly don't understand some of it. Some of the actions of certain characters just rub me the wrong way... a couple in particular. Those people don't alter the fact that the show is spectacular, though. I'm not looking forward to the end of season 3, so I'm having to dig deep to muster up the courage to get myself through it.

TV series aside, I actually did feel the wind of winter today. LaVaughn and I went to town a little while ago to do some shopping. Since we have literally nothing good to eat at home, we decided to stop in for some Chinese. Had I know we would be eating in town, I would have preferred to just eat in the actual restaurant.

Of course we wouldn't lower ourselves to something so simple and belittling, we wanted to nearly freeze to death and eat our takeout at the park! At least no one was around to see the spectacle. By the time we were finishing up, actually I believe LaVaughn was already done and on her way to the car, my food felt as though it had been refrigerated and was being taken out to be warmed up!

A small price to pay for such a memorable day. And it wasn't all bad, I suppose.

It helped that we had good music playing whilst we ate. We're really into End of the Line by The Traveling Wilburys at the moment, so we just played that on a loop on the phone. How can someone not love a song/band with the likes of Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, and Bob Dylan!? Not to mention the other two fantastic members.

All our ducklings are thriving, luckily. We're giving them temporary names at the moment, at least until they come into their own. Of course, we're naming them after some of the characters on Game of Thrones, but that's to be expected. All except one little guy, he's being called Kenneth for some reason. Oh well, it's fitting I suppose. We had named one Morquita, but decided against it once we came to our senses. I'll admit, part of me still wants to call him/her that.

As of now, we're able to tell all the ducklings apart. Either by size or bill markings, but that will all change soon enough. I'm hoping they all develop different characteristics. Until then, we'll just use what's easiest.

While we're on the subject of baby things, I may as well go ahead and talk about the joeys Chloe is expecting soon. One of the little ones is for sure a Platinum, but doesn't appear to be a TPM. It's a boy, by the way. I'm 96.3% sure the other joey is a Leucistic, but I could be wrong. Only time will tell.

Well, I suppose that's all for now. Time for the ducklings to have some yard time. I'll be sure to update this blog with pictures of playtime. Until then...

Love & Peace
