Less of a man...

I hate when there's something to do every day of the week. Not just like everyday errands, but when you have to go someplace more than an hour away, it just makes your days off seem non-existent.

We had to go to Fredericktown today to get Lestat neutered. After all, he's leaving us in a week. Actually, he'll be leaving exactly a week from today. His neuter went well, which was a huge relief. He didn't pay too much attention to the neuter site, which was surprising. I think we're still scared from getting Neal and Declan neutered. I hope none of them ever act like that again.

We jotted by the store where we intended on only getting a couple things, but ended up leaving with over $100 worth of stuff, which really hurt. I HATE spending that much money on food. Surprisingly, a huge chunk of that went towards glider fruit and veggies. We're going to try cutting a bunch up at a time again. I guess we'll see how that goes.

When we arrived back home, we were please to find that True Blood had arrived. I wish I could say that we've been anticipating it for a week, but shipping was actually quite fast. Our Funko POP! series 2 of The Walking Dead also arrived, which completely surprised LaVaughn because I had never mentioned that I ordered them. I LOVE them! It's so terrible, but I already want to order the 3rd series, but I know I can't right now... sad face.

Before any of this took place, I called Pet Safe and scheduled Lucian's flight for next week. Unfortunately, the latest flight they had was for 3:25, so that means we have to be there by at least 1:25, meaning we have to leave by no later than 11 AM. Yeah, so not looking forward to getting up that early and fighting Saint Louis traffic. Keep your fingers crossed everything goes well for us.

I suppose that's all for now. I'm going to finish feeding everyone and play some Watch Dogs. Until next time...

Cutest baby deer in the middle of the road.

Do you see what I see?

He's very blended in there.

True Blood on DVD!! So excited!!

Goodbye cruel world...

Well today was the unbelievably nerving day of Pip's neuter. LaVaughn and I have been a wreck ever since I called yesterday. And, of course, we have been expecting the worst!

We got there and got called straight back. The vet, who's seriously awesome, explained the procedure to us and said that it seems very easy and should go very well. That lifted out spirits a little and allowed us to breath easier for a little while... then she took him. :(

We got lots of online support yesterday from all the lovely people in the glider community. We asked a million questions about pom on and pom off neuters. Our vet was planing a pom off, so that's what we were concerned about. But still, several people assured us that pom off neuters were just as safe as pom on. We got SO much support and information from Val, a glider illness guru, she really helped.

We waited in the exam room for about 15-20 minutes, then it was over. She came out with him all balled up in his pouch and he seemed the same as when he left. She kept him in the back there while he was waking up and let him gnaw on the apple that we brought. That is the scariest part of having a glider sedated! But all was well. Pip was a great little boy during the whole process and even snacked on some yoggies after. He even jumped out on us and hopped back and forth for a while. This really amused people, lol.

So now were home and happy as can be. Not only do we have our first neuter out of the way, but we're down a breeding pair! Yay!!

I know this is kind of off subject, but we saw loads of wildlife on the way home. We saw about 10 wild turkeys, a couple deer, and a turtle Good stuff, lol.

Until next time...

He is a sleeping sugar glider angel. <3 p="">

So precious!

Here's the deer.

 Last one...

And now for a couple videos:

PetsWay or bust...

We had take a little trip to Poplar Bluff yesterday and decided to stop off at PetsWay and see what all was new. Truthfully, it was the same old crap they've had for years! That didn't stop is from having fun or almost bringing home another animal... I know, it's horrible.

Before I go any further, I would like to announce that we got rid of Sirius and Remus. They're were just sitting there, not getting enough attention. And since they are friendly birds, we felt super bad about it. I mean, it's okay for Rhonda and Eric to not get handled, they hate it. Luckily, a nice bird couple wanted them. And now they have them, lol.

Okay, back to the PetsWay talk. Since we got rid of a couple animals, of course we wanted to get more. I mean, it just wouldn't be normal if we didn't. So what animals did we almost get? Why rats of course. We stopped by the poor, defenseless future snake food and automatically fell in love with this beautiful little black and white rat. Then we saw a cute little hooded cream rat under her. And next to her sat an really cute brown rat. You better believe we considered getting all three. When an employee finally came over to use, we asked if we could hold them. He opened the door and let us fumble around with all of them. And to our surprise, all three of the rats we girls! Seriously, they were all girls! We took that as our sign to not get a rat and after that, we left.

The stupidity level of the pet service employees seriously amaze mean. I mean, how hard is it to sex a rat and them separate the males from the females?? I can't hardly stand going into the pet stores anymore and look at all the mistreated animals. And when you actually have a serious question about an animal, you better believe the employees have NO idea what you're talking about. Ugh, I'm done with my rant now...

After that, we went to Walmart (which was a big mistake) and picked up a few new things to accent our kitchen. And while we were there, we found the most kick ass shirt EVER! You'll see the one I'm talking about a the bottom.

Well, I suppose that's all for now. Until next time, you know where to find me...

Song of the day: Hurricane by Bob Dylan

Here are the pics:

A wild deer at the park.

Another wild deer at the park.

This was at the Sam-A-Baker state park. There are deer ALL over that place.

This is cute.

A hermit crab changing shells.

Ugh, look at it legs.

I believe this is a Pink-Toed Tarantula.

Probably my favorite picture of the hermit crabs.

This is the little rattie that we wanted to adopt.

The other two we wanted were under her.

This one kills me. So pitiful...

Some cute little albino mice.

This is the other little girl we wanted.

My favorite lizard of all time, the bearded dragon.

Look how cool this guy is.

Love the iguanas.

A little black ferret sleeping in his food dish.

Wow, guinea pigs are seriously crazy looking.

Sleepy ferret.

I forgot what kind of pink bird this is.

Look at the dove all balled up in its fat, lol.

A side view of the dove.

Rat blocks for Evan and Jonah's cage.

Robbie's favorite ferret treats... Ferret Bites.

Here's the vintage Pink Floyd shirt. This is seriously one of the coolest shirts EVER!

That's what it said, but part of me doesn't want to believe it.

Robbie having a nap on LaVaughn. What a sleepy little ferret.
