Doomed from the start...

Never, and I mean NEVER, start the days journey to a pet store off by saying, "We need to promise that we won't buy any animals today!" That's pretty much a dead giveaway that we bought a living, breathing creature today... isn't it? Ugh, why oh why did today happen? Why couldn't we have just gone to Hasting's and left it at that? Why must we be weak, why must we love rats SO much?

Well there you have it, we bough rats today. Yes, plural... rat-S! Two gorgeous, sweet, tiny little boy rats.

We almost bought a hairless boy from Pets-R-Us, but decided not to due to the fact that he was rather large and older. Still, I wanted to bundle him up and carry him home. Leaving him there nearly left me in tears. Of course, as soon as we get to Petsway I'm practically pulled to the rat tanks by some type of magnetic force field. And there at the bottom of the tanks were gorgeous "small" rats. And what they mean by "small" is too young to be taken from their mothers, but we're money hungry so we're going to do it anyway.

It wasn't even the size that did it for me, it was because out of the 7 baby rats that were in the tank, only one came running up to the front, practically ripping his nails off trying to get to me as if I was his long lost mother. It made things 10 times worse that he looks almost exactly like Sally. Even though it was against our best interests, I decided to ask one of the workers to let us hold them. BIG mistake! I held him and one other, but pretty much decided against it when we figured out they were boys. We're really only in the rat business for girls, so we passed and walked away.

We pissed some time away looking at some things for Sookie -- even though I still think she's a devil hamster -- then eventually made our way back to the rat tanks where that same little boy literally ran towards us and JUMPED on the glass trying to get to us! That basically sealed the deal. I tried not to run towards one of the workers, but I couldn't help myself. LaVaughn went and picked out a nice size Critter Keeper to carry them home in.

We, of course, decided on the little boy that looked like Sally, but we also decided to get the little boy that was following him around like a lost puppy. They were the only two that were out and about, so it was kind of meant to be.

The rest is pretty much history. We're are now owners of two gorgeous little rattie boys named, Opie and Jax. They're gorgeous, sweet, and probably the best thing since sliced bread. We're not 100% sure we're going to stick with those names, but as of right now it'll do.

After we calmed ourselves, we decided to go to Hasting's were we actually bought movies instead of just browsing around and buying The Walking Dead memorabilia! Since the only movie shopping we've done in the last 2 years has been online, it was such a rush to actually buy movies in an actual store! We left with a mix of blu-rays and DVDs... 10 of them. And not just run-of-the-mill crappy movies, movies that we love and have always wanted!

We were feeling risky on the way home and decided to stop by Wendy's to try their new Bacon and Blue. Not terrible, but not the best thing I've had either. I loved the aioli, but the blue cheese was a tad too pungent at times. Still pretty good, though. I'd probably try it again.

And now that I've rambled for the past 30 minutes, I guess I had better go. I need to go play with the new boys anyway.

Love & Peace

This cat is obsessed:

Here's a nice look at all the movies we picked up today. SO excited!!

Remember when Sookie bit me? Well look at it today! O.o

The sun also rises...

A glider friend of ours, Sarah of Sarah's Suggie Shoppe, contacted us a little while ago and asked if we had any pre-made sets available. I told her no, but we were getting ready to cut some fleece, so we could have. Well long story short, she ended up wanting a $30 set. She seemed a little hesitant at first, so I began to offer a trade. Six of her awesome ball pits for the cage set. She was MORE than willing to trade.

So yes, we're finally doing a trade for some of Sarah's toys! Woop woop! We got her set sewn up today and ready to ship out tomorrow!

Aside from managing a trade and getting the set sewn up, we also managed to cut out 10 pouches for the other lady that ordered them! Awesome! We also found enough fleece to do Hannah's 7 jumbo pouches later in the week. Now we just need to actually get around and sew them, lol.

Had I even mentioned that Hannah wanted to order 7 jumbo pouches? Well she does! This is the first time she's ordered anything from us, so I'm pretty excited. Hannah and I are good buds, so I hope she likes them!

We also held the glider today, like we always do, but today we decided to take them by our aunt's house for a little visit. They all did so good, and, of course, were the center of attention. Kira probably did the best, she got out of the pouch and jumped for everyone! Only from me or LaVaughn to my uncle. She was great.

Well, tomorrow is my last day, then I have 3 days of freedom! I can't wait! McDonald's will kill you if you stay there for too long. I don't know how some of those people work for 10 days straight without going on a murderous rampage! Seriously, I would kill someone.

You remember me saying all the crap about GTA V and that we were going to sell it on Ebay? Well, we did! It was a bittersweet goodbye, but I know it was for the best. Part of me wanted to keep it just to keep it, but then the part of me that knew I would never really get into playing it wanted to sell it. So it was a win/win I suppose.

We also went through our old DVDs a while back and ended up giving close to 100 to our aunt and uncle. The remaining almost 300 movies and a couple TV shows we decided to sell on Ebay. Well believe it or not, we actually sold them for $133! Downside... the dickhead that bought them hasn't paid and isn't showing any sign of paying. Figures. I guess we'll have to start a dispute or something.

Speaking of Ebay, we were able to find the 4th season of The Vampire Diaries -- yes, we're obsessed -- for a really good price, so we bought it! We also bought our first Harry Potter memorabilia ever!! Like not just little cheap wands, this is licensed stuff! I can't go into details right now, considering these things are for something later down the road. So you're just going to have to use your imagination!

Okay, I believe that's all for now. Until next time...

Love & Peace

Randomness on my days off...

I've really been enjoying my days off. I honestly don't think it's a good thing that I had SO many days off in a row. I'm used to being home now, so I don't want to go back, lol. But hell, I don't want to go back after one day off!!

Mama Judy stopped by my aunt's yesterday so stay a couple days with her. Without her bike loving hubby, I might add. That was weird too, they go everywhere together! I honestly don't mind him, but it was nice for it to just be us girls all weekend. I'm so a lesbian at heart, I can't stand men sometimes, lol. Depending on the guy, of course. After that creepy river excursion, I was full fledged for 2 whole days!

Okay, side tracked!

Little know fact about mama Judy, she LOVES the gliders! And I mean she loves them! I almost think she loves them more than us. We were with her the first time we ever saw a glider. It was at the mall in Cape. She wanted it SO bad! She's loved them for as long as I can remember.

So of course, every time we get to see her, we break the gliders out, which we did yesterday. We had a total of 6 pouches between the two of us when we went over. She held I think 2 or 3, then aunt Sharon held one. They had a blast. And all the gliders were on their best behavior.

Speaking of, Shannon sent some new pictures of our ringtail mosaic girl yesterday. She is SO pretty!! We've decided we're not naming her Josie anymore. I know, we seriously need to decide on a name for her! I can't think of anything good. Anyway, she's so pretty and I just love her face to death! She does look kind of mean in some of her pictures, but that just ads to her character.

Tracy messaged me, yesterday I believe, and gave us an update on Emma and Eliza. Apparently Eliza is the dominant female in the trio, she ended up killing Emma's joeys. :( They both had a standard and a mosaic joey. Tracy was forced to separate them. Eliza's joeys are OOP now and Tracy said she would do pictures tomorrow. Can't WAIT to see what they look like!!

Oh yeah, I was dicking around on Ebay a couple days ago and noticed that we still needed to pay for an item! I was like, "What the hell, we didn't buy anything!". Well, apparently I had bid on Season 4 of Supernatural and won it! I honestly have no memory of this. It was only like $11.50 for the season, brand new! I didn't want to spend the money, but it was kind of worth it. :)

We ordered some blank dvds a few days ago and have been burning movies for my aunt. She doesn't have an Xbox, so we can't lend her our hard drive with all our movies on it. So we finally broke down and bought some. We've been dvd making fools the past couple days.

Okay, I suppose that's all for now. Until next time...

Love & Peace
