Random updates to keep you entertained...

I would like to start with some actual GOOD news -- Pip is doing SO much better! The swelling on his nose has practically vanished and the swelling on his cheek is at a minimum, Looks like the antibiotics are doing the trick (knock wood), so he shouldn't have to go back to the vet anytime soon.

This is glider related, so I'll go ahead and share. The 1000 mealworms that I ordered earlier this week came with a few bonus worms. So not only did we get mealworms, but we got dermestid beetles as well. Yeah, no thanks. Definitely the last time I'll be ordering from them. Insert cringe face here...

As most of you know, the season 2 premiere of Fear The Walking Dead is on tonight. I'm finding it hard to reach the same level of excitement excitement as I do with The Walking Dead. I know that's probably never going to happen, but I DO want to watch it, so I'm not going to talk myself out of it. Although, Dying Light does sound rather appealing at the moment.

In other news, LaVaughn and I have really gotten into "survival" mode lately and starting rotating everything in our bug out bags, or 3-day survival kits, whatever you want to call them. We just ordered some more stuff from First Aid Product last night (food bars, water, portable stove, tube tent, etc). We should have it by the end of the week and, of course, I'll post about it. Should be exciting! It's only a matter of time before we'll be ordering more.

This coming week seems to be rather boring, so there's a good chance this will be my last blog for a few days. I have lots of stuff to sew and cut out, so that's going to occupy the majority of my time. So, until next time...

Hmm... would could that be!

A sack of worms, maybe?

Pip picture update:

Doesn't he look SO much better?? Wait, did I post a before picture here? I think that was on my Instagram account.

Zoe giving me the stank eye while I was eating dinner.

She's such a begger.

Bug damn she's cute!

Fear The Walking Dead...

I've requested off every Sunday JUST for this show -- I know, I'm terrible! It's an addiction and I don't think I'll ever be able to work on another Sunday again for as long as this (or The Walking Dead) is on. Thankfully it's only a 6 episode stint and I can hopefully get back to work soon. After all, Sunday is one of my guaranteed work days.

I cleaned the littler box today, cleaned the rat cage, and something else... I can't remember what exactly, that's odd. At least I did SOMETHING today! Oh wait, I washed the car! I went to the car wash on my break yesterday and sprayed it off, but it didn't really do anything. I wiped the entire car off today, but it wasn't a thorough wash, so it'll have to be done again. Anything is better compared to what it looked like -- it was filthy!

Before my aunt went to church tonight, I begged her to let me take her pictures. Surprisingly enough she obliged. The lighting was terrible, though, so the pictures didn't turn out too good. There are some GORGEOUS ones in the bunch, some that I absolutely adore. I'll post my favorite ones below. ;)

Now I'm doing to stop writing abruptly, only because Fear The Walking Dead is coming on in less than 20 minutes. I'm gone!

Love & Peace

Pictures from yesterday, right after I got home from work:

These are two of the scarves that LaVaughn picked up for me yesterday. She's knows how much I ADORE scarves and took it upon herself to get these for me. These are my absolute favorites of the bunch:

And, of course, some clothes. She and my aunt went a little crazy.

The cat's in the cradle...

I figured I had better check in today, despite not having much of a drive to blog. I really only wanted to do it so that I wouldn't get too backed up on pictures, which we all know happens all too easy! I've spent the majority of my evenings/nights playing The Sims, which doesn't leave much time for anything else. I know, no one's fault but my own.

When I'm not playing, LaVaughn and I are watching season 16 of SVU on Netflix -- on occasion Chicago PD, our new obsession. Of course, Sunday's are devoted to Fear The Walking Dead, which made an awesome recovery on their second episode. SO much better than the first, I loved it. It keeps me gritting my teeth until the next episode!

I suppose that's all for now, I had better wrap this up before dinner is finished. Until next time...

Love & Peace
