Love the way you lie...

We finally made it to the vet today, which was basically a wasted trip. It was and it wasn't, ya know? She looked and Una and assumed she had some type of URI or something, so she gave us some REALLY expensive eye cream to put in her eyes twice a day for two weeks. She said that if it didn't help to call and she would give us some oral meds -- I wish she would have given us those in the first place.

It was such a terrible drive up there. Half way across C Hwy, Zoe took a crap in the pet taxi, basically on top of poor Una. It was horrible! We had to pull over, make the cats get out of the carrier, and then I had to clean the crap out. It was horrible, it smelled horrible, and it was just HORRIBLE! Next time they're riding in two separate carriers.

Anyways, after we left the vets office we went shopping for my aunt. She needed a LOT of stuff -- good thing I actually enjoy shopping for other people. We didn't get much, we basically spent $20 on meatless meat. It's a new kick, I don't know what else to say. I can say that I'm super stoked to try the Morning Star sausage, just super stoked!

Lets rewind to before we even left the house where we're harboring THREE newly hatched baby ducks. We've already decided to keep 2 out of the 3, maybe even the third. It's so exciting, all I want to do is hold them and play with them. I think it's safe to say that these guys are going to be insanely sweet by the time we're done with them. At least I hope. We still have like 8 or so on the way, I just hope they all hatch!

I guess that's all for now. Time to go rub some terrible cream in the cats eyes. Yay...

See the tiny bottle of Terramycin?

Ah, yes! Meatless chick'n strips. Gotta love vegan meat.

Now time for duckling cuteness:

When you're feeling done in...

Today has been a SUPER exhausting. Right now I'm curled up in the glider room, taking a moment for myself. We were original going to go to the vet today -- there were no openings -- but we ended up doing a million other things in place of. Today would have been the perfect day for a drive to Fredericktown, but now it's being postponed to Wednesday.

When I got up, my mom took me to pick up the car. - thankfully they got it fixed today! After that I vacuumed, did the laundry, took out the trash, fed all the animals, then cooked dinner. Bob showed up not 10 minutes before we started cooking for ourselves, which was nice and awkward. Not that he makes it uncomfortable or anything, it's just odd.

When we finished eating we asked Bob if he would help us put the air conditioner in the glider room. Of course he said yes, which I figured he would. After that was all said and done we decided to move the geese down to the chicken coop. They're so unbelievable big now, far too big to be kept inside. Two weeks from now they'll probably be living among everyone else -- they grow that fast.

See what I'm saying, it's been a non-stop type of day. It doesn't help that have been obsessing over our duck eggs that are SO close to hatching! I kid you not. There's pipping coming from one egg and lots of action going on when we candle them. Super exciting stuff going on in out house.

My time is drawing short, so I guess I'll end it here. Until next time...

New HDMI cords arrived today! They're awesome!

Anxiously waiting for these guys to hatch!!

See the crack? If not, I won't hold it against you... it's hard to see.

And now for the pictures of the geese, Reese and Riley:

I love you like a love song...

No work for me today. I know, I'm beginning to forget what it's like to work on a Sunday. In my defense, I thought today was Mother's Day -- which is why I originally took off. It's not, though, but at least I got to spend my afternoon watching a fat groundhog run around my yard. I know, exciting.

My mom has been here since Thursday, which was a blessing because my car quite on my Friday evening. The alternator went out halfway back from Piedmont. I barely made it to the shop in Annapolis, it actually died on me not 3 minutes after I put it in park. Yeah, that's how dead it was! Thankfully my mom was here and I didn't have to call out. It was SUPER weird driving her car, though. It's so tiny and compact, I thought I was going to take flight a couple times.

My car should be ready tomorrow, so yay!

I'm probably going to be trading it at the end of the week. It's just been one thing after another. Plus it has like 195,000 miles on it, so it's time for a trade. I just hope I can get a 2010 or later that's in my price range.

In other news, Una hasn't been feeling well at all for the past couple days. It all started Friday, of course, so there was no going to the vet. No worries, though, we're going to take her tomorrow after we pick up the car. We'll probably take Zoe too, cause I'm sure whatever Una has she has.

While we're in Fredericktown we're going to grab some vegan meat. We tried the Morning Star Chik'n nuggets a few weeks ago and loved them! We also recently tried Boca burgers -- which we've had 4 out of 5 days -- and they're awesome! I'm in no way vegan, but I am very cautious of processed meats, which is why eating vegan meat is so much easier, you never have to worry about biting into anything disgusting!

Another completely random subject, we're hatching out duck eggs, hopefully soon. I don't even know if I mentioned that we got a incubator or not? Well we did and it's full of duck eggs -- with a few turkey eggs on the side. I pray that the turkey eggs hatch, that way we would have some memory of Lilith.

Speaking of Lilith, my aunt is getting rid of the minions that killed her and two of my ducks. I can't say I'm excited because I'm going to miss them like crazy, but after they're gone we wont have to worry about them killing anything, chasing our cats, chasing cars, or anything. I just hate the time that leads up to it. Cause right now I'm the one that takes care of them.

With all of that being said I'm going to call it a day. Until next time...

These boys are the sweetest ever.

I'm all about that bass...

And by bass I mean spring. How pathetic is it that I have to resort to blog titles that make absolutely no sense? What purpose does that hold? When nothing happens during the day, like nothing BIG that jumps out, I'm left with creating a title that sums up the day. Doing that is impossible for me because every blog would be titled; Cat, Sugar Glider, Pictures... Boring. See, it's just not possible.

I'm going to completely disregard everything I just said and talk about things that happened today.

My aunts poor dog, Max, has been licking his incision NON stop for days now. He's really only hurt himself more by trying to make everything better, because now he has everything inflamed and just nasty looking. He's now sporting a brand new e-collar and it sucks! Not only for him, but us as well. It's so sad seeing him mope around with giant cone on his head. He makes things worse when he tried to pick up a toy and play... I feel so bad.

He's actually handling it quite well, considering he's a simple little creature. He doesn't constantly try to get it off or anything, he just takes it. I never took him as the submissive type.

Since the weather is getting nicer and things are starting to bloom, I've found myself outside more and more. I started by following the chickens around the yard and photographing them in their state of happy, then I made my way down to my precious ducks. All 9 of them... not 11. They're so gorgeous -- I can't wait to start hatching out some ducklings!

I was limited to only 130 pictures today, which really hit me hard. Out of nowhere my memory card adapter decided to break. I'm not sure how, but the switch that locks the memory card decided to break of... in the LOCKED position! I'm screwed until a new ones arrives. Speaking of, I need to order one. Thankfully I have my old 1 GB memory card read. It's close to 8 years old and still as sturdy as it was the day I got it. Did I mention that it's a cheaper brand as well? As opposed to the Toshiba one... that broke!

I believe that's all I have to say today. I have to work tomorrow, so I need to go savor what's left of my day. Until next time...

Love & Peace
