Welcome to my powder room...

LaVaughn and I decided to go to Farmington today -- of all places. There are few places that I despise going; Cape being number one, Farmington being number two. I don't know what it is, there's just something about the drive that I dread from the moment we begin our trek. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that you have to go through Ironton, which is where I work. I drive that way every single week, so going in that same direction for a pleasure cruise is tiresome.

Anyways, going to Farmington made sense. Their Walmart is the only place (that's close) that has Resident Evil Revelations 2. It's also the only place (other than Cape) that has a Petco, which is where we needed to go more than Walmart. I ordered Esther's shipping crate and for some reason, it's huge! WAY to big to ship her in, so we needed to return it.

Naturally, it wasn't as easy as, "Here, we don't want this. It's unopened, can we please just have our money back" It would have been that easy, had I brought my DEBIT card! Oh no, I left that sitting on the kitchen table, over an hour away. So it's not like I could have jotted home real quick and got it. They closed in an hour anyways, so I couldn't have done that even if I wanted to. So no, we didn't get our money back, but the guy let us exchange it for anything in the store.

We toyed around with the idea of getting new water bottles for all the gliders, but they only had two glass ones (for $10) and the rest were shitty plastic -- it's basically like throwing your money away if you buy Kaytee or Petco brand.

That's when we gazed our view to the direction of litter boxes. We both agreed last week that we needed to invest in a new one, so it made sense. Surprisingly, litter boxes have gotten relatively higher since we last bought one. Petco is naturally more expensive, so I honestly didn't think we would find a "cheap" one. We ended up deciding on a lime green one with adorable cat decals on the side. I love it! It was almost $40, but we had a $23 exchange, so we ended up paying $14 -- not too bad.

After we finished up at Petco, we went next door to Walmart and picked up our game. Which, surprisingly enough, was ready when we got there. This never happens at our local store. We stopped by Captain D's for dinner, then headed home.

All in all it was a pretty nice day. My anxiety has lessened some, not entirely, but it does seem better today. I'm hoping that it keeps improving...

Here's the girl's new little box:

It's a super fancy Petco little box.

And of course, our glorious Resident Evil Revelations 2.

It's a Far Cry for help...

I normally don't blog on days that I work, but since I got off at 5 today (even though it's not remotely close to 5) I thought I would pop in for a quick blog.

First off, LaVaughn came to Ironton with me today and dicked around during my 3 hour shift. She does this on occasion, like if we're planing on going to Farmington after or something. Well, we didn't go to Farmington today, but we did go from Ironton all the way to Piedmont. It's in complete opposite corners, but the drive honestly didn't take long.

I blame LaVaughn for this endeavor, it was HER idea to go into Piedmont and get Far Cry 4. Yes, I wanted it desperately when I watched a 10 minute long intro/game play a few weeks ago, but it honestly wasn't top of my list -- I've been holding out for Dying Light! Well, we got it and now I'm dying to play it, lol. Of course!

What was even more exciting was the fact that we got ALL of Sookie's new things today! Her cage, food dish, water bottle, chew toys, bedding... everything! Major downside, the little witch can fit through the cage bars. Luckily, we have some landware mesh that Taylor gave us months ago which worked perfect to put around the bars. No word as to if she'll be able to chew her way out, I'm just hoping she'll be occupied enough with all the space and she'll leave it alone.

I need to get a picture of the cage post mesh.

So yeah, that's my after work special. Since I can hardly contain myself, I'm going to call it a day and tear into Far Cry 4!

I just love getting packages in the mail.

Almost as much as getting new games, like Far Cry 4.

All the new hamster supplies!

Sookie's new cage.

Look at the size difference!

A chew tunnel.

A hideaway.

Some Ultra Carefresh bedding.

A new water bottle.

A gorgeous new food dish.

Seriously, this thing is stunning!

Una hiding in a box.

She's so pretty.

And so bright eyed!

When did our sugar gliders get so pampered?

Since Chloe and Boone's cage arrived not too long ago, we decided to sew them up a nice new set for it. It's inevitable that we're going to out it together, it's just a matter of when! Anyways, getting a new cage set for a cage is kind of like getting new furniture for a new house! May as well go all out, right? We used some of the frog fleece that Taylor sent. At first, I wasn't too fond of the design, but now that it's sewn, I freaking love it! It looks very 80s, and I love that!

Aside from new cage set excitement, we can get even more excited about our new water bottles! And they're freaking awesome!! They're so much bigger than I imagined... and they're glass!! Glass is so much better than the old rank plastic ones that we had. Now we can throw those nasty things away. But yeah, back to the size. They're HUGE! They're 16 ounces of awesomeness! I was kind of hating paying $4 and something a bottle, but now that I see how big they are, it was worth it.

Aside from the water bottles, we also got our closing links for our cage sets. Lets see if little Miss Chloe can get these bad boys off! Since they hook, she'll probably end up tearing through the tabs. That would be our luck.

I even managed to get new pictures of the joeys today! Not bragging or anything, but these pictures are freaking adorable! Today was the first day that I was able to put everyone in a tree or on a branch. I love when they get old enough for things like that.

And believe it or not, we even managed to go to town today and exchange our bags! The store didn't give us much trouble either, they just said to go exchange them. Sweetness. I'll eventually do a blog just about the bags. They're too awesome to not have their own blog.

Well, I suppose that's all for now. Until next time...

Love & Peace
