As I ponder, weak and weary...

I decided to go with a Poe title, simply because it's dark and dreary out. Oh, and RAINY! Seriously, ever since 11:00 this morning, it's been raining. I'm assuming it started raining before then, but I was completely unconscious before 11. I was only at myself for a few minutes at when I heard the downpour. I don't think it slacked off once until 3ish.

Anyways...

I ended up not going to work today for reasons I don't care to discuss at the moment. You just never know who's reading my blog! Even though I highly doubt someone I know from this state is reading this at the moment. I guess everything worked out for the best. I don't feel at the top of my game today and have one of those annoying headaches that I can't seem to shake.

I think my headache is the main reason I didn't want to sew today, even though we needed to sew so badly. Here I go with that procrastination we all know and love.  At least we were able to cut everything out that needed to be cut. So when tomorrow rolls around, it's on like Donkey Kong!

Bart is so not making it easy for me to type. He's insisting on sitting on my shoulder and/or in my arms, leaving me only one hand to type with. Note to self; never put Bart in the bathroom (he was getting picked on outside) when I'm planing on blogging. And yes, I'm blogging in the bathroom, but that's beside the point.

Okay, so I like to blog in the bathroom. It's not my fault that it's my quite room with absolutely no distractions. Minus the dripping faucet... sigh.

Aside from the absolutely boring and wet day, we did manage to carry some of our little fur monsters around. We try to focus mainly on the joeys at this point, but we couldn't help but carry some of the older babies around as well. We decided to go with Chloe and Boone, mainly because Boone needs more of our attention (we're still working on his crabbiness). And not to mention, Chloe is harboring two glorious little ones. I carried Avon around because he's going to be leaving in a couple weeks and I want to get as much one-on-one time in with him while I still can. And, of course, the three little ones.

Not to worry, I managed to get a couple pictures of them as well. Nothing like last time, but enough to suffice. We'll have different pairs on us tomorrow. I'm thinking Sadie and Pip for myself, LaVaughn will probably go with Kira and Logan. Okay, rambling. Who cares who we'll be carrying tomorrow! Ugh... I think this headache is starting to toy with me!

Since staring at the computer screen isn't helping me at all, I believe I'm going to call it a day. Until next time...

When the lights go down in the city...

Today started off really well. I was playing a game and minding my own business when a tornado decided to just pop out of nowhere! Well, it was really a tornado, but it sounded like it! It was raining and thundering and then all of a sudden... poof! There went the lights. It's like as soon as the electricity goes off, this overwhelming feeling of boredom sets in . I continued to game on my computer until the battery died, which was just a little over an hour later. That's when the books came out and the door opened.

It was around 6 in the evening, so we were both kind of hungry. We decided to get the left over pizza out of the fridge and eat that. It was beyond cold, so we decided to warm it up with a lighter. Word of advice... pizza does NOT taste good with butane on it.

After that, LaVaughn and I sat and read every short story out of this cool book called, Phantom Encounters. After that, I recited a little Edgar Allan Poe's - The Raven! After that I finished with a few paragraphs of The Murders of Rue Morgue. While I was in the middle of that... poof! The electricity was back on. Definitely not the way I wanted to spend my evening, but at least the electricity wasn't off for too long...

Photos:

See the darkness? Well, it was way worse.

Ah, the sun is shining...

Phantom Encounters!

And lets not forget the Complete Stories and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe.

Yellow hue...

Not too much going on today - like always. There was a pretty big storm that engulfed the majority of the afternoon and evening. Unfortunately, the storm was made up mainly of thunder and lightening with very little rain - which we need. By the time it was over, it left the sky looking yellow with a hint of orange. It almost looked like some type of chemical had filled the air.

Okay, that was a little too deep and boring. How about some photos to end the day on a high note? Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Until next time...

Song of the day: I'm taking a break from Song of the day for a while...

Here are the pics:

I didn't mess with the color or contrast of the photo at all! It really looked like this outside. :)

And now for some Edgar Allan Poe photography:

Probably my favorite picture of the Poe book.

And now some pictures of monster Bart:

Well hello Mr. Poe...

Today is probably one of the most exciting days that I've experienced in a long, long time. For years I've wanted and lurked after this magnificent book... Complete Stories and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe. It was 4 years ago when I first discovered this book in Hastings. At the time, it had a price tag of $25 - which was way away from what I wanted to pay. Ack, there I go with the rhyming again. Anyways, I was looking around on eBay and found pretty much the same exact book for 1/5 of the price about. Once I read that it was in really good condition, I bought it. I'm going to have weeks and weeks of good reading to do.

In glider news... we got even MORE pictures of Chloe to share. I seriously love the breeder so much - she's the best! We had to beg Annette for pictures of the gliders and when she sent them, we only got maybe 5 or 6. I also have some pictures of Sophie and Violet to share. I didn't get as many of Sophie - considering I just took her pictures not long ago, but Violet definitely needed her picture taken.

Well, I suppose that's that and I will be on my way now. Until next time...

 Aren't they the cutest!

I love how light the platinum sugar gliders are.

Chloe's brother (in front) has such a cute face!

Violet reminds me so much of her mom and looks so much like her dad.

Sophie looks just like her mom! Although, she does have her dad's eyes.

Look at how plump she is!

Isn't she a doll?

I just love her face.

She's seriously one of the prettiest White Faced sugar gliders ever!

She looks just like Pip here.

And so much like Sadie here.
