Don't forget to change the oil!

I got off work at 5 on Sunday, it was so awesome. I'm an afternoon to late night person, so I like never get off before 9 PM. It's cool, I'm used to it now. It just makes short shift days when I get off before 7 even more enjoyable.

It couldn't have come at a better time, because Doug asked if they could get Oni that day. They were running a little behind, so I had time to jot over to the store for glider veggies before they made it. It wasn't more than 10 minutes later that Kyan gave me a call and I met them at Subway.

They also bought 3 of our old wheels, which I brought with me. We haven't been using them, so someone may as well get some use out of them. They've needed new wheels for a while now -- and we needed more space in the garage, so it was a win/win. They also brought me a little something... fleece! 6 yards of it! Well, 3 of the print and 3 of the solid. I asked Kyan how many sets he was wanting out of it. To my surprise, he only wanted 1! There will be plenty left over, so there's a good chance we'll make ourselves one as well.

Later Sunday night Doug messaged me and told me that they had already done intros with her and Zac. Surprisingly enough, they LOVED each other! This is fantastic news because Oni and her mom were super close, so she wouldn't have done well alone.

I had to drive LaVaughn to the hospital yesterday so that she could have some tests ran on her legs. Apparently she's having some circulation issues and needed further testing done. I'm very curious as to what they find.

I've spent the majority of today sewing and pimping out cage sets. I sewed a blue cheetah set and (luckily) sold it to Jennifer, the girl that adopted Lestat. I also have 3 sets "sold" to Laci. She hasn't paid for them yet, so I haven't sewn them. They're in stasis at the moment. I also have another girl that's wanting 2 barnyard animal sets and 1 fox set. I just have to find the barn animal fabric first. There's also one other girl that just wants a random 6 piece set. Now all I have to do is start on them all, lol.

My mom is coming down tomorrow and staying through the weekend. I have to drive LaVaughn to Cape tomorrow as well so that she can get another cortisone shot in her neck, so it's going to be a busy week of absolutely no sewing, lol.

I suppose that's all for now. Until next time... which isn't in the foreseeable future.

Love & Peace

Glider food for the night! This is a mixture of strawberries, kiwi, zucchini, red bell peppers, peas, corn, carrots, and green beans. Nom, nom, nom!

Pictures of the tiniest chicken egg:
These were from yesterday before we went to the hospital.

The blue cheetah set that I sewed today:

Check out that awesome glider bucket!

LaVaughn is such a dick. Nice reminder, eh?

Here's the completed set.

Sadie and Pip's dinner.

He has to have his food chopped up EXTRA small right now.

I'll be your friend til the end...

Today was our big dinner date with Doug and Kyan and I honestly couldn't have enjoyed myself more! I love those guys so much, they're so welcoming and so easy to talk to. It doesn't hurt that we're all close to the same age and share so many similarities.

Like for example, they're glider lovers (obviously), they're child-free, they hate mornings and sleep late, and they have the same opinions of people in the glider community as us! Those are just a FEW things we have in common, there are many, many more  -- some that I don't care to discuss, lol.

We met at Applebee's in Farmington and arrived 20 minutes before them -- go figure. We sipped on strawberry lemonades while we waited and looked over the menus (we both decided on a cowboy burger). As soon as they arrived, Doug greeted us with a hug, which wasn't surprising. We sat and talked for over an hour about anything we could think of. We shared 'war' stories and gossiped worse than a sewing circle. It was a blast.

The waitress was head-over-heels for Doug. It didn't hurt that he's a flirt by nature, which made things even worse on the poor girl. She would happen by our table for no apparent reason just to see if Doug would giver her the time of day -- which he was more than happy to do.

After we were done eating and conversing inside, we made our way to their car where we played with joeys and talked for another 45 minutes. We finally wrapped it up close to 7 and parted ways.

Now we're home and I'm longing for my boys again. I can't wait until they get Luna (her new name is Oni), then we can meet up again. Until then, I'll have to rely on Facebook to get my fix.

I hope your Sunday was an enjoyable as mine...

Love & Peace

Since I was being lazy, I decided to just take a picture of the picture I took on my phone... enjoy!

And now pictures from yesterday:

This is Sally's favorite food at the moment.

Finally got Thw Walking Dead season 4 in the mail!! Woop!

The result of being spontaneous...

I had to postpone our meet-and-greet with Doug and Kyan last week due to not being able to get Zac neutered. I had already taken off work Sunday -- which was useless -- and now have to take off next Sunday as well. I'm only the 4th name in the book, so it should be a go. With that being said, scheduling Zac's (and Cas') neuter today was top priority!

I called the vet and asked what they had available for this week, that's when she began to tell me that tomorrow was a go, or we could have it done today at 4. Since LaVaughn and I both woke up fairly early today and literally had nothing to do, I decided to go ahead and schedule it. After all, getting it done today meant not having to anticipate it tomorrow.

We arrived at the vets office fairly early and only had to sit for less than 5 minutes before she came and got Cas -- we wanted to neuter him first because we figured he would be a tad more difficult. Thankfully, everything went fine and he was back out with us before we knew it! Then she took little man, who did just as fine as Cas.

Zac was a little more worked up than Cas, which came as a huge shock. Cas just kind of slept following his procedure, which made him exceptionally pitiful! Cas is a pitiful looking glider to begin with, so seeing him all doped up and druggy really didn't help matters at all.

I'm just glad they're BOTH over with. Now we can meet up with our boys in Sunday. Not to mention, we don't have to worry about Violet murdering anymore unwanted joeys. It's a win win.

I ran in the store for a few minutes while LaVaughn stayed in the car with the boys (and Violet). It was so weird to be shopping there by myself! Going to the bigger towns and shopping is something we normally do together. I was able to get another papaya for the gliders and some baby food for the rats -- which is normally all we shop for anymore, the gliders and rats.

We saw a bald eagle on the way there. Of all days I didn't bring any type of camera with me -- nothing! I was so pissed at myself because all we were able to get was cell pictures... lame!

Speaking of pictures, before I knew we would be going to the vet today, I took Milla out for a nice little photoshoot. This is something I don't do nearly enough, so it was nice to do so. It was a tad too bright out, but she was patient with me and just sat there. I love her so much.

Love &; Peace
