Don't forget to change the oil!

I got off work at 5 on Sunday, it was so awesome. I'm an afternoon to late night person, so I like never get off before 9 PM. It's cool, I'm used to it now. It just makes short shift days when I get off before 7 even more enjoyable.

It couldn't have come at a better time, because Doug asked if they could get Oni that day. They were running a little behind, so I had time to jot over to the store for glider veggies before they made it. It wasn't more than 10 minutes later that Kyan gave me a call and I met them at Subway.

They also bought 3 of our old wheels, which I brought with me. We haven't been using them, so someone may as well get some use out of them. They've needed new wheels for a while now -- and we needed more space in the garage, so it was a win/win. They also brought me a little something... fleece! 6 yards of it! Well, 3 of the print and 3 of the solid. I asked Kyan how many sets he was wanting out of it. To my surprise, he only wanted 1! There will be plenty left over, so there's a good chance we'll make ourselves one as well.

Later Sunday night Doug messaged me and told me that they had already done intros with her and Zac. Surprisingly enough, they LOVED each other! This is fantastic news because Oni and her mom were super close, so she wouldn't have done well alone.

I had to drive LaVaughn to the hospital yesterday so that she could have some tests ran on her legs. Apparently she's having some circulation issues and needed further testing done. I'm very curious as to what they find.

I've spent the majority of today sewing and pimping out cage sets. I sewed a blue cheetah set and (luckily) sold it to Jennifer, the girl that adopted Lestat. I also have 3 sets "sold" to Laci. She hasn't paid for them yet, so I haven't sewn them. They're in stasis at the moment. I also have another girl that's wanting 2 barnyard animal sets and 1 fox set. I just have to find the barn animal fabric first. There's also one other girl that just wants a random 6 piece set. Now all I have to do is start on them all, lol.

My mom is coming down tomorrow and staying through the weekend. I have to drive LaVaughn to Cape tomorrow as well so that she can get another cortisone shot in her neck, so it's going to be a busy week of absolutely no sewing, lol.

I suppose that's all for now. Until next time... which isn't in the foreseeable future.

Love & Peace

LaVaughn is such a dick. Nice reminder, eh?

Here's the completed set.

Sadie and Pip's dinner.

He has to have his food chopped up EXTRA small right now.

Goodbye yellow brick road...

Well, today is the last day of August. This month really seems to have flown by, seriously. What happened to summer? Not that I'm complaining, I adore winter and look forward to it every year, but this summer just really flew by.

And LaVaughn and I finished this last day by cutting out lots and lots of cage sets! I'm serious, we cut out Taylor's two very large sets, and since she sent us an extra yard of fleeve, we cut a set for us to keep and a set for us to sell. We were very, very busy, lol.

We're going to have lots to sew come Monday! I can't wait!

Unfortunately, I have to work tomorrow. Luckily, I don't have to go in until 2. I'm super excited about that! I rarely every get to go in after 1 anymore. I guess 1-9 are just my hours now.

Since we've upped our cages, we decided to start double stacking. Just one set, though. We wont have to double stack anymore until we order out other cages.

Speaking of, we do need to order another cage. We also need another wheel and some new water bottles... how fun! Wouldn't it be nice to have a disposable income? Unfortunately, we have to wait on joey money to buy things like that. Luckily, we got a little more money for Avon. Not a lot, but enough for now!

LaVaughn and I are thinking of introducing Cas and Violet again. We know they had their outs, but they seem so lonely or something. Not to mention, we're going to intro Charli and Tyler before too much longer. If they'll have each other, of course.

Speaking of, did I fail to mention that we got Boone and Chloe together!? Cause we did!! They went together like they had known each other for years, lol. And man are they cute together! I'll update with pictures very, very soon!

Also, someone might possibly be interested in Jensen. They asked for his price with shipping and a neuter. We haven't heard anything back, but it seems promising. Only time will tell!

Well, that's all for now. Until next time...

Love & Peace

And yes, this is an adoption section I found in the paper. These people are LOOKING for kids to adopt!?!?

You spin me right round baby... (50+ pictures included!)

Omg! Possibly one of the coolest most exciting things in the world happened today... OUR WHEELS ARRIVED! All the beautiful wheels we ordered from David Watkins came! And holy crap, they're beautiful! We've never had "good" wheels, so this was a really exciting day for not only the glider, but us! I honestly think we're more excited about this than the gliders will be. We have 4 floor mounts and one cage mount. In a couple months, I'd like to order 4 cage mounts and one more floor mount. that would be awesome!

Just when I thought things couldn't get much more exciting... Annette sent us pictures of our new boys, Dustin and Drew (both yet to be named)!! Let me just say, they are stunning! I seriously haven't seen boys this pretty in a long time! Not to worry, all those pictures will be listed below. ;)

Today was such a beautiful day. Not sure why I said that, but it was. The temperature was perfect and the lighting was stunning! Made for lots of great photos!

When the chickens and ducks don't get free yard roam, we like to pick grass and throw it in the fence with them. They LOVE it! Especially the ducks, considering they usually never get free yard roam. And, of course, I got a million pictures of everyone... especially the duckies. They're getting so big and beautiful!

Aside from that, I also managed to get some pictures of the joeys today! Not just average Joe photos... outdoor photos! My favorite! Nala does really awesome. She strikes a post and holds it for as long as I need her to. Simba... he's a different story. He's constantly moving, turning his head, and running off. It's a nightmare trying to get pictures of him. I did manage to get a couple, though.

In the middle of all this, I'd look over and there would be Bart, just sitting there looking all cute. LaVaughn and I both got a million pictures of him.

In between all the picture taking, we managed to get Taylor's sets cut! Awesome! I don't know if I've mentioned this or not, but we offered to sew some sets for her for free if she just sent us the fleece. I know, we're awesome. I actually enjoy sewing, so it's not putting me out one bit!

Today was such a good day... I guess that's why I have to work tomorrow, lol. At least it's only 3 hours. Hope tomorrow goes as good as Friday did!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot! The river - I believe it's called Big Creek - that we crossed yesterday on our way to Fredericktown was SO flooded! It's been a few days since the rain, so it must have been even worse!

Okay, creepy. I so don't know why I even brought that up. And on that note... it's time to go! Don't forget to check out all the awesome pictures below!!

Love & Peace
