It's in the air...

So the last few days of been crazy busy! Between taking care of my aunt, taking care of our animals, our selves, grocery shopping, WORK, and other things, I've barely had time to breathe! Things are starting to hit their groove, so everything hasn't been as stressful as it was -- couldn't more more thankful for that!

My aunt is do extremely well (knock wood). She's walking excellently, even without her walker. She's gotten up the past two mornings without any help, super shocking. My uncle has been here to help, but he had to leave yesterday -- chalk that up to one of the creepiest days to date!

I believe I've mentioned he's an OTR driver, so his departs vary from day to day. This week he had to leave at 6:30! Yuck! We're usually in bed no later than 5 AM, but since my aunt is unable to drive at the moment, we were his lift to his truck. Which means we had to surpass our 5 o'clock bedtime and stay up until nearly 7! I woke him up at 5:30, had his coffee made, his things were packed and we were good to go. Of course things didn't go according to my plan -- he ended up talking and drinking coffee until after 6.

It was close to 7 when we got home. We rushed through brushing our teeth and hit the bed! I was a stress bomb just waiting to go off, but that was mainly due to the fact that I had to work that same day, so of course I was stressed. Luckily it didn't take me long to sleep and I was up just after noon and ready to get back to work. Long story short -- absolutely nothing has changed, it's still drama filled and full of children.

In other news, I think I have pink eye (conjunctivitis). My right eye has been red, irritated, and itchy since Monday! It got way worse last night, but has mellowed out some today -- not much. I'm alternating Visine and sugar water in hopes of clearing it up. Only time will tell.

Mother's Day also took place Sunday. We normally take the mothers our for dinner, but my mom was out of town and my aunt couldn't go out to dinner -- for obvious reasons, so we just stayed home and gave out gifts and cards. I know, boring!

Monday evening LaVaughn and I decided to cut up and freeze a few days worth of food for the gliders. We knew we would be crazy busy this week, so it would help in the long run -- and it has! I still can't believe we lucked out and found the food dishes that we use for the gliders. Our local market usually never has them, so we bought every single one they had Sunday.

I honestly can't think of anything else that's happened lately. I really haven't had time to anything special. Until next time -- whenever that may be...

The mad king...

Since my aunt has so many issues with her back, LaVaughn and I volunteered to take her puppies to our vet for their neuter. We also agreed to watching them for the next couple days to make sure everything went okay.

I'm still mad at them, but I couldn't help but pity them. Their eyes guilted me into buying them a burger from McDonald's before we dropped them off.

Since I misunderstood when I scheduled theirs and the joeys neutered, we ended up not having to get the joeys neutered -- that apparently all happens tomorrow. It all worked out well, considering we needed to do some massive grocery shopping. Mainly for glider fruit and honey. Man honey is expensive! I get the 72 ounces of honey -- which makes around 4 batches of HPW -- which rings in at a staggering $15! It just amazes me how expensive some things are.

After we got done shopping, we made our way to my aunt's house where we proceeded to fix her and mom dinner. Things were made especially awkward when we noticed the Orkin man was still there. He was there until 6:30 -- the entire time we were cooking! I wanted to shoot myself.

Now all is good and quite. We have to go pick the puppies up tomorrow and get the joeys neutered, so it should be an overall boring day...

The drive to and from Fredericktown:

Don't forget to change the oil!

I got off work at 5 on Sunday, it was so awesome. I'm an afternoon to late night person, so I like never get off before 9 PM. It's cool, I'm used to it now. It just makes short shift days when I get off before 7 even more enjoyable.

It couldn't have come at a better time, because Doug asked if they could get Oni that day. They were running a little behind, so I had time to jot over to the store for glider veggies before they made it. It wasn't more than 10 minutes later that Kyan gave me a call and I met them at Subway.

They also bought 3 of our old wheels, which I brought with me. We haven't been using them, so someone may as well get some use out of them. They've needed new wheels for a while now -- and we needed more space in the garage, so it was a win/win. They also brought me a little something... fleece! 6 yards of it! Well, 3 of the print and 3 of the solid. I asked Kyan how many sets he was wanting out of it. To my surprise, he only wanted 1! There will be plenty left over, so there's a good chance we'll make ourselves one as well.

Later Sunday night Doug messaged me and told me that they had already done intros with her and Zac. Surprisingly enough, they LOVED each other! This is fantastic news because Oni and her mom were super close, so she wouldn't have done well alone.

I had to drive LaVaughn to the hospital yesterday so that she could have some tests ran on her legs. Apparently she's having some circulation issues and needed further testing done. I'm very curious as to what they find.

I've spent the majority of today sewing and pimping out cage sets. I sewed a blue cheetah set and (luckily) sold it to Jennifer, the girl that adopted Lestat. I also have 3 sets "sold" to Laci. She hasn't paid for them yet, so I haven't sewn them. They're in stasis at the moment. I also have another girl that's wanting 2 barnyard animal sets and 1 fox set. I just have to find the barn animal fabric first. There's also one other girl that just wants a random 6 piece set. Now all I have to do is start on them all, lol.

My mom is coming down tomorrow and staying through the weekend. I have to drive LaVaughn to Cape tomorrow as well so that she can get another cortisone shot in her neck, so it's going to be a busy week of absolutely no sewing, lol.

I suppose that's all for now. Until next time... which isn't in the foreseeable future.

Glider food for the night! This is a mixture of strawberries, kiwi, zucchini, red bell peppers, peas, corn, carrots, and green beans. Nom, nom, nom!

Pictures of the tiniest chicken egg:
These were from yesterday before we went to the hospital.

The blue cheetah set that I sewed today:

Check out that awesome glider bucket!

LaVaughn is such a dick. Nice reminder, eh?

Here's the completed set.

Sadie and Pip's dinner.

He has to have his food chopped up EXTRA small right now.

And we're off... to the store.

We're were out of pretty much everything, so we decided to go to the store yesterday. The main reason was for glider fruit and veggies, so that took up the majority of our trip. Like always, we headed to Fredericktown where the crazies just get crazier. Remember the BBQ under the funeral home? Yeah, that's Fredericktown for you. Unfortunately, we have to deal with the crazies if we want papayas or any other kind of good fruit.

After spending a couple hours at the store, we finally got what we needed and headed home. We didn't get home until nearly 9, so we fed the gliders as quick as possible, swallowed some food and then started playing with all our glider goodies!

We started cutting the fruit and veggies around 10PM - all the while listening to two of CCR's greatest hits CDs. By the time we were done, it was midnight! That's how long it took us to cut up everything, cook what needed to be cooked and start freezing into ice cubes. We till didn't get everything frozen, just just bowl of fruit. We have to start on the ton of veggies today. Yeah, fun! Oh well, at least the gliders will be happy.

In other news... did I mention that my aunt and uncle decided to go to Moundsville, WV yesterday? Well, they did! They're scoping everything out to see if it's a suitable move. I know I haven't given any details as to why or when said move may or may not take place. All in good time my friends, all in good time.

Here are the photos:

And yes, that would be a busted egg.

A beautiful butterfly. Not the best pictures, but at least it's pretty.

A baby cow that our neighbor's cow just had.

Isn't he/she cute!

Baby calves seriously have the cutest faces!

A little on the skinny side.

But oh so adorable.

Off to find mom.

Just look at all of that glorious food for the sugar gliders!

Yup, they only get the best (when the stores have it).

A huge thing of honey for some original HPW.

Just look at all of that delicious fruit!

Can't forget the veggies.

Some oats and almonds for some homemade granola!

Fresh pineapple slices.

Pineapple is my all time favorite fruit!

Glider grub!

And yes, that is homemade granola!

The downside... I like it more than the gliders - go figure.

And now for a video:
